This company claimed to

He the IRS collecting back owed taxes and claiming that I was under audit. If I didn't reply back to them they would call the authorities and have me arrested if I hung up the phone. They actually hung up on me and said I was be arrested for four counts of defrauding the IRS. Sounds very fraudulent and like a scam.

As I tried to indicate above, a message was left on my answering system that I needed to contact IRS concerning a pending lawsuit against me. I knew that the phone call was coming from Ohio because my phone tells me where it is coming from, but not indicate that it was Federal govt. I got another phone call about an hour later and called back. I told them I felt it was a scam because the phone would have told me US govt and the phone call would not be coming from Ohio. After I told the individual I thought it was a scam the phone line went dead, the individual would not indicate that he was still there.

My mother has received several phone calls from this phone number. The initial call is a recorded message that instructs you to call the number back. When she called back the person asked for her name, phone number and address; none of which she provided. They told her that this was her final warning and that a law suit has been filed against her. After refusing the give information, she immediately ended the call.

Called claiming to be the IRS and " we have been trying to reach you. A lawsuit is being filed against you." These folks called and threatened me that I owed taxes from an audit of 5 years of taxes. I had miscalculated. Continued that an arrest warrant was issued and all of my property and bank accounts were being seized. Asked if I wanted to go to court or settle out of court. Have sent me certified mail several times with no one to sign, these "confidential letters" so we're returned to them.

ALL of this is a lie.

There were serious threats that I need to give them agreement to pay at minimum $1500.00 to stop the action against me right now. If I hang up this call then he will he will act

and is my only chance to stop this.

Several times, I asked who is this, why are you calling me, never received any mail from IRS. Asked to send- fax-scan me these letters, I need proof that this is real. The "supervisor " became more aggressive. I hung up. Then he called back 3 times in a row. I ignored these calls. I admit this took me by surprise and I reacted with panic.

The "officers" each provided badge number and names that did not match their accents.

After I calmed down, I went to the irs.gov website and read about scams and how to file a complaint with the BBB. Tomorrow I will contact the local newspaper and police.

On Thursday, 3/30/2017 , at 10:08 am, consumer received phone call, which we did not answer, from 844-840-3093. Robotic Recording on answering machine left message identifying itself from IRS, Internal Revenue Service, saying "final notice from IRS, lawsuit issued due to fraud with IRS and issuing arrest for consumer." Told to call above phone # right away. Consumer did not return call. Reporting call to BBB to inform that this scam remains active.

I received a voicemail today from a phone number (207)-573-2623, saying he was from Bangor, ME. He claimed to be from the IRS, and demanded that I call back immediately and give him money and information to "settle this issue", or I would be arrested. He said that my house is currently under surveillance and they are watching my every move, and will know if I don't call the number back. He also said that my property would be confiscated. I didn't call the number back, but this is very unnerving and there are many people who would fall for this scam.

I received a call from the phone number (207)-573-2623, where the individual stated that they were from the IRS and that I was in big trouble unless I paid off my debts. The man I was talking to told me that I needed to give him my credit card number right away, along with my social security number and other personal information, If I didn't give him all of my information, he said that my house and car would be compromised, and that I would be going to jail this same day. I knew that this was a scam and hung up on him.

i received an automated call with female voice and left voice mail for me to call back this (613-306-3024) on my cell phone. I called back to talk to them a guy with indian accent picked up the phone and said his name is john and said he works for IRS and asked me why i called and explained to him that i had automated call and responding to the voice mail i received. He said he needed my name, that's when i got suspicious and did not want to disclose my information assuming it's fake call and a scam needing to collect my personal information.
