Some recording to call the IRS 1-347-560-5678. I called back some foreigner answered, I could understand him but he said something about taking out of my account. He hung up and I have tried to call 5 more times no one picks up. I don't owe IRS anything as I have not been able to work since my 3rd car accident in feb. 2012.

THEY CLAIMED THEY WERE THE IRS. AND THAT I OWED THEM MONEY, AND FOR ME TO CALL THEM AT 1-304-893-3141, TO RESOLVE THIS MONEY I OWE.

I DO NOT OWE ANY MONIES TO THE IRS!!!!

IRS supposedly called to tell us we owed money for back taxes in 2008 and 2014 and wanted us to settle on the phone with them. I knew this was not true as my accountant would have informed us of this.

The caller ID said that the call came from CA, 562 348 2004.

The caller stated that she was from the IRS in Washington, DC. She stated that I owed money to the IRS and if I didn't pay very soon, I would get arrested. I hung up on the caller as I figured it was a SCAM.

Lady with a heavy accent and much noise in the background says I owe money and if I don't pay, they are sending a sheriff to arrest me. I get 4to 5calls a day. My daughter called the number an they answered IRS. When my daughter told the lady they were a scam, the lady said do not judge me I'm sending out the sheriff to arrest you. My daughter told her to go right ahead because we called the ScamPulse.com and AG. The number is from new Hampshire. 603-289-9202

Received a phone call from the IRS stating that there was a warrant out for my arrest for back taxes owed. Only thing is, I do not work and I do not pay taxes so this has to be a scam. The caller did not provide a name, just that he worked for the IRS. First call came up as private and the next call provided a phone #.

This is the second time in a week I received a call saying that they are the IRS and it is an urgent matter and I need to call right away. They gave a phone number and an officers name and then gave me a case number. I understand the IRS does not call on the phone but they send a letter by mail so I did not call plus it was a 206 area code. I would think the IRS would call from an area code maybe in Boston. The call is alittle scary because it does sound real and a call from the IRS is scary in itself.

A message was left on my answering machine on April 7, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. The caller ID indicated the call was from 862-367-0202 in Newark, New Jersey. The person (male) told me that he was calling from the IRS, that I owed money--NOT!--and I was in big trouble. I ignored this messages and other similar ones. This is not the first time I've been called and I report each call so that people won't be scammed.

202-480-1989 this number keeps calling my parents house it has a recording saying its from the IRS and it gives a call back number. My parents haven't even received letters from the IRS

Consumer received three calls from the same female recording stating that she is calling from the IRS and it states that they have a warrant out for her arrest that the consumer needs to call them asap. Consumer received a call this morning and the female recording made it seem to the consumer that the police would be at her doorstep within 30 min.

Call received stating it was the IRS and that they had (5) legal counts of fraud, possibly tax evasion against my brother. He was given a number to call (716) 961-5100 which was an automated message giving (2) separate websites to contact. Sounded legit. When the number was entered into Google, the third option down (attached image) shows number linked to U.S. Internal Revenue Service with a New York office address but when selected, it was through a white pages link. When number was entered for search, an alert popped up saying that the number had been flagged for Fraud and/or Scam (attached image). Contacted the local BBB who was definitely certain it to be a scam and given instructions to report it on this website. It has always been my understanding that the IRS does not contact consumers via the phone. At least they didn't call me when they reported to me that I had been a victim of the recent IRS database hack and that someone had attempted to use or present my SSN. They sent me (2) letters to the address of record used when my taxes were filed. Being a government employee myself, many agencies have policy to not give or discuss important or identifying information over the phone. The local BBB agreed that as many of us know or have heard, the IRS does NOT contact consumers by way of phone. Besides thinking on it, how would they actually have someone's cell phone number....????

Received several phone calls which I did not answer from a Washington, D.C. ID. The message they left twice was:

Urgent after August they found that a fraud and miss conduct that I was hiding from federal government.

This needs to be rectified immediately, call as soon as possible at 202-888-3466,

Knowing it was a scam, I called them back just to see what they would say. I asked them who they were and the guy with an Indian accent with a ton of background people speaking told me he was the IRS. I told he wasn't the IRS and he continued to say he was the IRS. He told me the IRS 800 phone number which any one can find out. I told him that was not the number I had and that he was committing fraud. He hung up on me. I called the local police who said they weren't able to do anything because most of these calls are from outside the U.S. I alsoI tried to call the IRS, but the police said they wouldn't do anything. I received several more calls after this one.
