I received a pre recorded call stating that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. I returned the phone call and spoke with an "officer". He had all my information and verified my information by my address and last 4 of my social security number. He went on to say that I owed over $6,000 for taxes from 2009 thru 2014. I told him that this was a scam and he said "[censored] You" and hung up the phone. The number he called from was (347) 464-5458.

Received two phone calls leaving a message that the IRS is filing a suit against me. Phone # 206-900-9224 Seattle, WA. Stating call this number to find out more about this. I called the number twice and the same foreign man answered IRS. The second call came for Unknown Name. 0112969009224 and they left the same message.

received a call today 2/1/2016 from phone number (703)831-3385 ...an indian accented woman called stating that the irs is trying to contact me and that i am being sued by the irs in a legal matter and she kept asking me repeatedly she said it was us department of irs and kept asking me my name and i told her i was reporting her for scamming and harrassment and she kept asking my name and info...so i yelled to stop scamming people and harrassing and she kept yelling sternly at me ....i know that the government doesnt handle matters in this way since my wife is disabled....i want the harrassment to stop from this lady...thank you so much

IRS called me, said I owed over $3,900.  They had my former address, they asked me for my new address and I gave it to them.  I told them the last 4 digits of my ss number.  When I asked for written verification, they hung up.

My husband received two phone calls on his cell phone from the following numbers from Texas and Washington, 1-214-390-7411, 1-509-288-4984. The caller left a message that stated this was the IRS calling and the call was to inform him that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against him. We did return one call to request the badge ID number for one of the representatives and he gave us the number IRM-3326 and stated his supervisor's name was Steven Smith. I'm sure this name is a false name and badge number and we did not provide any of our personal information and informed them they would be reported and that the IRS would notify us via mail and not through a phone call. When asking for the information we were met with resistance and a refusal to provide it at first. They did not provide an e-mail, address information. Before they would release that information they wanted personal information from my husband.

I received a phone call from 202-754-8193 they claimed to be an IRS Agent and requested payment for a tax debt.

I received 5 calls on Jan. 29th. from a reported IRS agent saying a lawsuit has been filled and I should call 646-368-8608 to straighten it out.

I knew it was a scam and when I called to tell to quit calling me the person answered IRS office and I told him he was a fraud he hung up.

On Thursday 1/28/16 I received a call on our home phone from this number: 202-455-6975 with "Washington DC" on caller ID. The call was a computer saying that it was the IRS, and we are part of a criminal investigation regarding a tax matter. We were instructed to call that number back. At the end of the call, we were told that if we did not return the call: "We wish you and your family good luck with what may befall upon you." I take this type of language as a THREAT to me and my family, and I hope that whoever is behind this scam is caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law! I'm smart enough to know this is not the IRS, but whoever is doing this is breaking the law!

I received a call from Bainbridge Island, WA, saying the IRS was filing a law suit with me. The number came from 206-319-2903 on my cell phone. It was a recording asking me to call back to find out why. I just hung up on them.

I've been receiving phone calls from these numbers at various times of the day and night:

(267)328-5270, (206)319-2903, (512)674-2000, (718)475-9208, which is female and male voice recorded stating that IRS is filing suit against me and that it's urgent that I call them. I obviously know that feel like this is a scam being they are numbers from different states, automated and I live in NC. I can and have saved the numbers as well as voicemails but this is major concern as I am a Allstate Agent with many years in my career.

If I can provide anything further to help to stop the issue I am willing.
