I received this call and they left a voice message on my phone. Once I heard the message and that they were from the IRS knowing this was a scam I called back to see what they had to say. He asked me when I received the message and if I had a case number, he then told me that I needed to answer a few questions and that I would answer the questions and not talk any further for this was being recorded and that he was from the IRS in Washington DC. He asked me what my name was. I then asked what his name was and told him he was being recorded and told him he was a fraud and that I would report him and he hung up. I was not scammed by this individual just wanted to report so that no one falls for this scam.

Someone had called from the phone number listed claiming to be irs threatening to file a lawsuit against me if I didn’t resolve the matter right then over the phone

The IRS called and said I owed them money from back taxes. The threatened that I would get arrested if I didn't pay. They had my home address.

They called me on my home phone said they was from the IRS and I owed back taxes. I have been disabled for over 10 years . They asked how much money I made a month and my full name and address which by the way, they had already, then asked for my social security number. I said I don't give that out over the phone to mail me the info. He sounded like he was from India or Africa. I Google their number and it showed up on a scam Web site but not here so thought you should know.

Called and left message. Stated need to call back, there was criminal case and need response back. So....I called and person on other end said “ dept of crime investigations with IRS.” I did not share and information, however they asked me a question and I said “yes.” Then they hung up on me.

I keep receiving phone calls that they are with the IRS or treasury dep. saying I have legal charges due to tax fraud and I won't get my tax refund this year and they r bringing me up on criminal charges. If I don't respond that I will have a arrest warrant in my name and I would be incarcerated immediately. But u call 1 of the numbers back and it's out of working service. The other bad thing is I will get 4 to 5 calls a week for like 5 months now. They never leave a name and there is a different number of contact every time. I'll have 8 to 10 numbers every 2 weeks. They try to scare you but if u owe taxes they will not call , they will send a letter. I'm just tired of it. At 1 time I did talk to a man but I couldn't understand his language. But they will not stop.

I got an automated vm advising me to call them back at 716-218-3671: "This call, lawsuit filed in your name, the moment you receive this message, I want you to call us back or a concerned officer on dept division. If we do not hear from you, there will be a warrant issued for your arrest". I called back. I spoke to a guy calling himself James Cooper, he had an ID number of 6410, x. 101. He had an accent. He said it was concerning back taxes, tax evasion, and homeland security. He said there was more information. Then hung up.

This caller says it is a collection call and final attempt from IRS. They have called before. This time I called back and they tried to play the same charade. It sounded like a busy call center out of the country with a horrible staticky connection.

I have received 4 messages recently from the same caller. The home phone and cell phone are listed above. Each message says the same thing, "This is a message from the IRS regarding an investigation against me for Tax Findings. I have 24 hours to call them , or the local police will take me to jail! Please discuss this case with them in the next 24 hours , prior to any legal actions against me!" The number I must call is 502-205-5975.

I have had other calls similar to this but never 4 calls in a row over 2-weeks.

It is a recorded call with this message "Notification regarding your tax filings from the headquarters which will get expired in the next 24 working hours and once it get expired after that you will be taken under custody by the local cops as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment. We would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against"

I keep getting phone calls claiming to be from IRS, I actually called it back today and the guy was from another country, barely could understand him...when i asked for his name he said *** ***. He didnt call me by my Full name just middle. HE said he was calling from the IRS and trying to collect a debt. I told him I knew he was scamming because the IRS DOES NOT call you and that I know he was just scamming and that I was going to report him to the BBB and that he was fake and as soon as I said that he hung up....
