I got a call that was recording today around 11:00 saying I owed taxes and if I didn't call them back within 24 hours I would be arrested. I've called the number a couple of times but it's always busy.

I received a voicemail saying the caller was from the IRS and wanted to discuss four violations with me. When I called back, they confirmed my name and address then told me there were serious allegations against me from the IRS. I recommended they talk to my lawyer or accountant. They threatened to send a representative to my home with a sheriff in less than 20 minutes. I told them to come on over and I'd have my own policeman waiting for them. Eventually they said I could wire them $3,000 to fix everything. I told them repeatedly that I wouldn't pay and they were welcome to send the sheriff.

I was informed by phone that there were mistakes made on the last 5 years of my tax returns and if I did not pay the fines and overdue tax’s I would be prosecuted. I never received any mailings In regard to this from IRS even though they claim I had. They said my phone is being monitored by homeland security and I could not contact h and r block to clear up these supposed mistakes. I told them I won’t have money until Friday the 21’st so they said they would call back then. I tried to contact the IRS but was unsuccessful. I am pretty sure this is a scam. They asked if I could pay $100 or $50 when I said I did not have the $2100 they say I owe.

This company left a voicemail saying that charges were going to be filed against my social security number for fraud and I was to call 1(202)379-4746 to find out more information. When I called the number I gave them my name & they said there was fraud on my account and I needed to straighten this out or charges would be filed. I told them there was no fraud on my account and that the IRS does not call people they send certified letters and you contact the IRS. They then hung up but called back 3 hours later with the same message to which I called back the number saying to remove my name and number from their list because the IRS does not call people.

My mother received a call in which she became very nervous about and caused anxiety. She received a call from a number claiming to be from the IRS saying that she needed to contact them within 24 hours. I called the number back and they were wanting information such as social security info. They were very pushy in wanting to know if we were going to send them money.

I was called today by the "IRS" I was told I was under investigation and will go to jail in the next 24 hrs if I didn't call back to work it out. I had almost the exact same call about a year ago. So, I called and tried to have someone explain how they got my number and why they keep hanging up on me each time I question them. I finally got a nicer woman who let me tell her she needs to find another job and that she should be ashamed of themselves for doing this to innocent people over the phone. I told her and a few others' I was reporting them immediately.

I have received three phone messages claiming to be from IRS. I allegedly owe on taxes and will be taken into custody after 24 hours. I deleted the messages.

I received an automated call on my voicemail claiming to be from the IRS. They said due to my latest filing with the IRS, there was an issue and I had 24 hours to contact the number they provided back or I could possibly be arrested.

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for returning my call The call said I had 48 hrs or a warrant would be issued for my arrest and I needed to pay %6,351.00 in back taxes which I do not owe. It was so real and threatening I decided to call and left voice msg. now following up with the email

Their phone # 361 365 8106. They are very intimidating and I believe target for seniors in San Antonio, TX.

THIS # CALLED ME AND SAID THEY ARE THE IRS AND THERE WAS SEVERAL WARRANTS OUT FOR ME AND THAT I NEED TO CALL THEM BACK. SO I DID. THEY WANT ME TO NOT LET ANYONE HEARD ME TALK THAT THIS WAS PRIVATE AND I TOLD HIM THAT I KEPT NOTHING FROM MY FAMILY. SHE SAID IF I WAS TAKING HIM SERIOUS AND I SAID YES I AM I AM ALSO RECORDING YOU AND HE HUNG UP ON ME. THIS IS THE NUMBER THAT HE CALLED FROM. 567-244-0093

A recorded voicemail saying that it is the IRS and I owe money. I need to call back and out in the last four digits of my social security if I want to avoid getting arrested. That number again is 240-900-0922.
