I received a call this evening at 6:53 p.m. saying this is the IRS this is the last time we will contact you & you will spend the rest of your life in Federal prison . I did not do anything but hang up & block the call on my cell phone.

I had a message on my answering machine from someone who claimed to be on the investigation team of the IRS. They left a phone number to call and said that if I did not call that number within 24 hours that I would be taken under custody by the local cops. The grammar / phrases that they used sounded like it came from someone who does not speak English as their first language. It was very obvious to me that it was a scam, so I did not call the number. However, there might be people out there who would fall for it.

They call me and left me a message with this information I called the number and a female answer on first ring which I knew immediately that the irs has a voice information feature when u call and you have to choose by number

“Hello we have been trying to reach you this call is officially a final notice from IRS internal revenue services the reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file please call immediately on our department number 903-669-1629 I repeat 903-669-1629 thank you goodbye…”

They left a voicemail claiming to be the IRS. They claim a lawsuit has been filed under your name to collect tax money. They answer the phone as the IRS and ask for your name and I told them there was no way to determine they were the IRS they said I could hang up and meet them at the courthouse in person. Also you can’t hear them because there are so many people in the background.

A robotic voicemail is left claiming to be the IRS. They said I will be taken under custody by the local "cops" and I need to call back immediately. I called one of the many numbers back and asked them to stop calling me. They said okay. They have not stopped calling me.

Consumer got a call and they said there was a warrant out for customer if she did not pay her taxes. The caller did not give her an amount. Then the message ended.

Called asking for personal information and claimed there was tax fraud found. Wanted me to pay over the phone. They called me and didn't have my information so I let them know I was reporting them for fraud and they hung up.

I got a call from this number saying they were from the IRS giving me a 24 hour notice on debt that I owed. I do not owe anything, I know the IRS does not call you, so I hung up right away on them.

I received a robo call from the 'IRS" at ***. Supposedly, I have 4 serious charges facing me from the 'IRS", which I have to respond to in 24 hours or face arrest. I checked the IRS.GOV website and the IRS only has an 800 number. Please be advised to report this fraudulent activity.

A man called a consumer saying he was Scott Hayes with the IRS. He told her she owed them $8,696 and there was a warrant for her arrest. He gave her supposed account numbers and had a foreign accent. She disconnected the call, but wanted to warn others.

I had received 2 phone calls today that I believe were to be scams. The first call was from the IRS. The second call just said that I had 3 complaints and 24 hours to respond. I am not sure if they were related or not, but again I believe they were scams.

It's the same story that's been going on in recent years, an Indian voice calls and states he is from the IRS and I owe over $5,000 if I do not pay immediately a warrant will be issued for my arrest and I will go to jail.

It was a very broken up recorded message saying it was from the IRS and that they had tried to contact me multiple times regarding an error. Because I had not yet responded they were going to pursue some legal action and that I needed to call the number back.

I would believe that they are attempting to take money, but I am not sure since I did not call the number back. It sounded like a scam because of the type of recording (as mentioned earlier very broken up and not a continuous message) nor did they use my name or ask for me.
