Called to say EXTREMELY important matter. That I would be arrested if I did not pay the IRS what I owed. That in 24 hrs the cops would show up to arrest me.

My husband got the same phone call a few days earlier. They asked us to call 8888849116, right away,,, or expect to be arrested. Call immediately and pay what is owed.

Received several calls from, 202 794 8856, a gentleman claiming to be the IRS. I called back once and stated that if in indeed they were the IRS they would have all my information. At that time the gentleman hung up.

This number has called me 4 times today. I let it go to voicemail because I assumed it was a scam. The voicemail is a prerecorded voice that says the IRS is fileing a lawsuit against me. This can't possibly be true.

Introduce themselves as the IRS ask your name; then start to say you owe the IRS and if you interrupt then they want you to not say anything until they complete the script. During which they give a name and IRS number, (Daniel Cook/CN251195). The phone number used is as follows: 206-497-7014. They try to get you to commit to or agree that you owe this money. The only way you could resolve the matter is to go to the court house or resolve it outside of the court house all penalties and fees are included in what you owe the IRS. As soon as you tell them that you have not received anything from the IRS with an ID number/and specifics they disconnected the call.

They called and left a voicemail saying to call that number when I did they said I'm being audited from the irs and it requires legal action and that i owed then when I told them that I know better and the government won't call from a regular number and I didn't get a supena or certified mail they hung up and blocked my number when I tried calling back

This business called and it was an automated voice saying I was being sued by the IRS for tax evasion, and I needed to call back and give the name of my legal attorney before they came and arrested me.

Upon calling back (to be taken off their call list) it is a recording asking for your personal information.

It never identifies the name of the business.
