Scam taken over the phone by BBB Staff. Consumer claims that she received a call where recording played informing her that she had 4 serious violations with the IRS and that if she did not return their call within 24 hours, they would send authorities to her home to take her into custody.

I received a call from this number with a recorded message from a robotic voice : ID number is IRS ID # xxxx. The purpose of this call is regarding an enforcement action which has been executed by the US Treasury regarding Tax fraud against your name. Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearance before the magistrate, judge, or exempt jury for a federal criminal offense, so before this matter goes to the federal claim courthouse or you get arrested, kindly call us back on our number as soon as possible. It's 917-475-0285, I repeat it's 917-475-0285. Hope to here from you soon before the charges are pressed against you. Thank you.

Obviously using scare tactics, I have ignored this call. The IRS or Treasury Department would send a letter no matter what. I have not received anything of the sort.

This place is claiming to be the IRS and said that there is a warrant for my arrest for Tax fraud via automated message. The automated message listed a phone number I should call. I then used a public pone to call the number and a person answered. I asked if this was the IRS and they confirmed. I asked where they were located and he replied with Texas. When I asked what the man's name is, he hung up on me. These people need to be stopped before someone falls for their evil scam.

Scammer called and received automated message that "This is my final warning" The IRS will be issuing a warrant for my arrest. I needed to pay taxes or go to jail.

Caller asked consumer to pay $1,800.00 tax bill from 2012now to avoid the sheriff showing up to arrest him. Consumer hung up.

Called left automated message said irs has issued a arrest warrant and the local cops will find me if I don't call with in 24 hours ... I called the number back first thing they asked me was my ssc number I gave them an incorrect one and birth date and first and last name I gave them a false name of course ... He then asked me how much money do I have in my account , I said well how much do I owe ?? he then said put my dick in your mouth buby baby and hung up on me I get phone calls like this all the time ... I try to call him back over and over again and finally I think he blocked my number ... ?????? O my my I wanted to talk story and he hung up on me ??????(Call from 609-906-9989)

Received phone call from IRS accusing me of tax fraud, threatening me with immediate arrest, loss of back account and house, and immediate suspension of driver license, and demanding payment immediately for fraud.

Claimed to be Agent John Wilder, ID # 3S560IR671

After a series of threats (which did not seem proper from IRS), I finally told him to arrest me and hung up. The caller had a heavy foreign accent that was difficult to understand, and he was unable to provide me with a native speaker.

A woman calling herself Mary Jones with the IRS called and stated that I owed taxes for 2014 and 2015 in the amount of $1938.00 that needed to be paid or a warrant for my arrest would be made with my county sheriffs dept. I told her that I would call my sheriffs dept. and talk to my son-in- law because he is a lieutenant up there. She hung up on me after I said that. No doubt she was trying to scam me out of money and intended to try to get me to pay her that money. She had already left one message on my phone previously. Beware of this scam. She may use another name or number.

Received a call from the number above. Voice message left "Investigation Team IRS....4 serious allegations pressed on my name and the cops would be looking to pick me up if I did not contact them within 24 hours...call 888-884-9122." I tried to return the call but received a busy signal. I have reported the number as a scam to the ScamPulse.com Scam Tracker and blocked the number from my phone.

I got a phone call from this number saying they were the IRS and I had an arrest warrant for tax evasion. I would not give any information over the phone however he asked if he had my name correct and I said "yes" he immediately hung up. I am not sure what they can do with a recording of your voice.

I got a call from the number above. they left a message telling me that there were "4 serious allegations pressed on my name and the cops would be looking to pick me up". I returned the call on a different phone and was told this was a number for the IRS. I hung up and did not continue the conversation. I still have the recording on my phone.

I've been receiving calls once a week for the last month. They call me and say they are the IRS. They say that Officer John is going to arrest me. If you don't settle now, we're going to send papers to your job. They say I owe $7500, but will settle for $1500. 2142693476
