I received a call from a computer generated voice that left me a voicemail, asking me to call their department back immediately, but did not identify themselves or their affiliated business. I subsequently wanted to investigate who this really was and called the number back. A person with a foreign accent answered the call as follows : "IRS, may I help you?".

I recently saw a post on Facebook that showed a video of a very similar phone scam...same concept.

The number displayed was from Seattle, WA on my Caller ID...(206) 596-0586.

Phone message left stating the IRS was filing a law suit against us---that we needed to call 360/232-5888. We did not call them back! Assume they would have requested money sent to them.

I received an automated voicemail that I had a lawsuit filed against me. Called the number given back for more information and they said if I did not pay them immediately, I would be arrested. They wouldn't give me any information as to why I owed this money. They used the names Adam Morris and John Matthews.

Left a msg stating I had 4 allegations against me for tax fraud. Said I had 24 business hours to contact them or my local police would arrest me. Called back again after about 4 hours with the same msg. Irs wouldn't arrest and I. Certain I would have received certified mail if I screwed up my taxes, or more than a 1 day attempt to reach me.

These people called 5 times within a 2 1/2 hour period today on 7/8/17 threatening a lawsuit from the IRS. It is a recording and not an actual person when you answer the phone. The message starts with a statement that they have been trying to reach you and then states that it is very important that you call regarding a lawsuit against you. It has been extremely aggravating this morning.

I received a call from this number and they left a message that the IRS was filing a warrant out for my arrest due to non payment. I called back and gave my name and address. She let me know that the IRS was listening to the conversation and that I needed to be honest with the questions she asked. She asked when was the last time I filed my taxes, and how long have I filed my taxes. I let her know I filed this year, and I have always done my taxes. The lady had a thick accent and gave me a case id #. She then proceeded to tell me that I owed taxes from 2011-2015, and that they have tried to reach me through mail and gave specific dates in between these years. I asked her to repeat and told her it was hard to understand her. She then told me I owed the IRS $6,250.00 for delayed charges, fees and non payment. She asked me if I wanted to take care of this amount now or go through federal court. I asked where did this figure come from. Again her thick accent I did not understand her response, and I asked her to repeat. She repeated what she said. I told her that I have paid my taxes, and asked how to get this resolved. She then hung up on me.

IRS saying I owe money and to call them back right away on voice mail. I do not answer numbers I do not know so I did not talk to anyone. The voice sounded like a recording.

I received calls two days in a row stating that there was a warrant for my arrest from the IRS, the first day the call was from 412-943-5464 the second day 850-204-0849, I did not answer they left a voice message but I am sure they would have tried to get money.

THIS CALL WAS RECEIVED AT A BUSINESS.

RECORDED CALL SAYING IT IS THE IRS AND THIS IS THIRD ATTEMPT TO COLLECT MONEY. TOLD TO CALL THE PHONE NUMBER 850-204-0843. THE RECORDING WAS A BIT FUZZY.

Frank called me, gave me a file #, said I was being audited for the last seven or eight years and that I owed back taxes.

I've been away from my former address for about six years and they said that because I didn't forward my mail for more than a year I was getting called now and would be arrested if I didn't pay.

Received a phone call stating that they were the IRS and I had a warrant out for my arrest and that I owed $3,500 in back taxes and if I do not pay today they were going to have me arrested. Stated they would take payment thru Walmart gift cards. They would not allow me to hang up, if I did they were having me arrested. Purchased $1,200 in Walmart gift cards and gave them the numbers to the cards over the phone. After speaking to a relative, they informed me that it sounded like a scam. Went to Walmart immediately to attempt to get my money back and within minutes they had already used the cards.
