I received an invoice for $599 for product renewal for Mcafee software. I have never purchased any of these products before. I called the customer support number provided on the invoice and the person on the other line asked me to download a zip file before they could process my cancelation of the purchase. This felt weird, so I hung up and did not download the file. I called the customer support number listed on Mcafee's website, the person I talked to here said that is not their normal process for refunding money. I then forwarded the email to their spam team and called my bank.

I received an email saying an McAfee order was completed and I would see the invoice of $276.90 come out of my bank in 24-48 hours. Email was from Josef Ralph with a phone number at the bottom to call to cancel. I did not order anything from McAfee. The phone number was 816-297-0123 in Adrian, Mo. But to cancel I had to use a laptop or desktop. I did give my name and the invoice number. That is all but told him, I was not at either. He’s been calling from New York on another number that I also have blocked. I had two voicemails I tried to listen to but it was a direct call back to him. And after I hung up ready to call my bank he was still on the line. I hung up again then I alerted my bank, and the local police department. They all assured me it was a scam. And said I should contact you also. Thanks

Notified our account was charged for service then said charged was credited in the amount of $4,000 and we had to return entire $4,000 to clear up account. There is no way to contact the company by phone or email.

Email said McAfee account has been reinstated and activated and 389 dollars debited from my bank account. No money had actually been debited. He wanted to put control software on my computer to fill out the refund paperwork - which I did not allow him to do. I have never used McAfee software so I knew that this was a scam.

Email stated that McAfee Total Protection service plan was auto renewed on 4/25/23 for $335.35 using pre-approved payment method. Said to call +1 844'978'3704 for help. I did not call and do not see a charge on my card. My McAfee renewed in January for $97.

I called 603-768-1464

And 707-876-0180

attempting to tell them I did not order a protection subscription. They attempted to get into my checking acct and a credit card and cash app account to refund monies billed but yet to be taken from my checking - 3 different and asking to download bit coins - all saying they work for Mcafee customer service . 3 different calls for at least 30 mins asking to download apps. A third number was given

707-728-8249 but I refuse to contact it. I do not want my acct charged

Email was sent to my inbox email on 3/3/23 at 6:30 am from the scammer Customer_Support#91...with a Freight Bill number Bill:_JEODF19797514768of and subject was from a company stating that I had ordered a Auto-Renewal Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) services from McAfee in the amount of $389.90 debited from a Direct Debit account Invoice number 715021430 renewed for 3 years and stating that the amount will be deducted and reflected on my Bank Statement in the next 48 hours. Order ID number XVGFTY565/MN4VX23

I received this email from Jimmy Brout, [email protected] TO: [email protected]. I thought I was being charged the $399.11 to renew my subscription that I didn't know I had. I called the number and the scammer could not speak good english and was rude and impatient and demanding. He directed me to a website that had McAfee name, had me type in a code and then told me to hit "run" on the download. All of a sudden I seen "Joining session" pop up. I realized the scammer was trying to get into my computer. I told him I'm not running the program and asked him to send me an email to cancel the order. He said that's not possible and running the download is the only way...so I hung up. The end.
