NMG Refinance Scammers

Called claiming they were authorized by multiple lenders to call me about a refinance I recently looked into (I did). I asked if they were a lender - no answer. I asked if they were a mortgage broker- no answer. They just read from the script. I asked if they were a mortgage broker registered with NMLS. After a long pause, they said yes. I said, really, I don’t see you listed on the Consumer Access page. Then they hung up on me. This happened twice in two days. They are scammers.

Multiple people have called int he past few days from a company called NMG. All the calls started with "Hello, this is [person] on a recorded line. Now, you still owe [amount] on your mortgage in [your state], correct?" When I told them to stop calling, they would continue calling. They would talk over me as well when I told them I was not interested or to request they put me on their internal do not call list -- not sure they heard that part, since they would hang up if I responded at all aside from their Yes/No questions, which I did not indulge.

Woman called saying “Hi it’s [I forget] from NMG. Then she started right off by jumping right in and asking me to confirm mortgage info. I told her to fcuk off, then I hung up. These people are thieves, plain and simple.

NMG MULTIPLE CALLS BY NATHAN AND A JOE, REFINANCE SCAM

Calling me multiple times and states he calling in reference to me I quiting on refinancing my home this has been going on for several months ? They refused to give r me a call back number yo verify that it is truly a company and to speak with owner to verify his call he stated he didn't have a number for me to call back ? I'm blocking the number and they come up with another #, we go thru the same thing. I can't take this anymore ..they won't stop , phone cpany won't do anything ?

NMG - Sketchy Calls

I work in an office and "Ron" (male, North American dialect) called for a colleague. Once he called and declined to explain what he called about. The following week, "Ron" called again for the same colleague and I let "Ron" know he wasn't in. Then, he just proceeded with his spiel (on a recorded line) and asked me about current financing on my colleague's property Montana property (as if I know any information on that). I told him I was unable to answer those questions. He apologized for bothering me and ended the call.

A man named Nathan called asking me if I still owned my property in SC and I did say yes, then I thought it was very suspicious so I told him I was not interested in speaking with him and hung up. Please tell me that I didn't just say yes to having fraudulent activity in my life 4.29.22

Yes they have tried getting me I told him before I answer anything he will give me a number so I can call it back to verify he stated he couldn't do that , I also think they are hacking phones somehow while having me on phone they call and won't say anything on other end when i answer so I have filed police report..I'm keeping records I'm going to get this person if it's last thing I do ! I'm so done with this...yhey keep trying too! He had a guy call the other day Nathan called yesterday and they called today but this time didn't say anything i am officially done putting up with this !

Man named Nathan stated he was with NMG calling regarding a property I own in California worth $100,000. I have never owned property or had a mortgage. He stated that he received my information in a request to refinance my mortgage. It took telling him 3 times that I have never owned property or had a mortgage before he asked it I wanted to refinance other debt. I ended up hanging up on him.

(Did not recognize phone number, was not verified by my phone carrier though it did not have a scam alert either)

#1 Red Flag.

Male, American accent on the phone claims we are on a recorded line and states that I owe $100,000 on my mortgage, then follows with "am I correct?".

#2 Red Flag. (I am not refinancing and do not owe $100,000 on my home. If he is legit I would assume would also know how much I owe on my home.)

I asked who NMG was? He says a refinancing company.

#3 Red Flag. (Never heard of NMG. Do a quick search on Google and nothing pops up.)

I tell him that I have never heard of NMG. He says that the company is just called NMG.

#4 Red Flag.

I tell him that I am not refinancing. He hangs up.

Back traced the number and it was for a law firm in Charlotte.

#5 Red Flag.

Redialed number and it was busy.

#6 Red Flag.

The caller claims to be calling about my refinancing and knows how much I owe on my home, but I have never contacted them. He also continued to tell me about how much I owe on my home and say that they were helping me out even after I said I was not interested. Would not stop very aggressive.
