I keep getting calls from someone claiming to be from PayPal. He said I bought Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency and in order to cancel the purchase he wanted me to go buy a $400 gift card. He wanted to stay on the line with me while I went to the store so I hung up and he has called me back twice already.

I received an email from Paypal stating that the merchant was waiting for payment of $900+ . I do have a Paypal account but have never really used it but twice. Anyhow, I called the number that was on the email and it seemed like they weren't ready to take the call or something and I also got the sense that I was actually calling a home, based on the background noise. Something got my spidey-senses up that made me start questioning him about who he was and demanded to speak with his manager. They are using the Paypal logo and such, and including links and phone numbers that go nowhere near Paypal. Call outside of the email, look up the number and verify that you do indeed owe, or purchased something. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY OR SUPPLY AN INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE. ALWAYS GATHER AN OUTSIDE NUMBER FOR THE COMPANY AND VERIFY TRANSACTIONS.

This morning I recieved an email from someone claiming to be with Paypal.  It said I authorized a payment of $599.00 and I did not.  I called the number in the email and the man tried to get me to gove him my personal information.  When I refused he got mad and hung up.

I received a phone call today from someone claiming to be with PayPal. Told me I received a loan. The man said somebody used my name. He is calling me for the delinquent bill of $789. To dispute charge call 813-799-2007. I called the number back. I said I never took out a loan. I don't use PayPal. He hung up on me two or three times. I said I don't owe $789. I received an email. This is a scam.

I received an email that appeared to be from PayPal. I don't even have a PayPal account. Invoice number XF69B09HHB09. Toll free Phone number 828-263-4019. Charging $447,18 for Norton 360 Standard. Account in my name. Thanks for using PayPal. Also gives a figure $445.843. States to call if I did not do the transaction.

I, M E received an email form this person Marica Garcia stating that I had purchase a Product some metal storage cabinet with lock,

steel storage cabinet with 4 adjustable shelves 72" Product amount $179.99, Tax 43.98, Shipping 23.95, gross total $247.92 pay due date August 10/23.

I, M  E has not order anything like this at all , When I try to contact pay pal , with this ID# 9Q to let them know I that did not order anything . I was unable and want charges to place on pay pal if they are behind all of this I am a senior citizen whom is tried of these kind of people.

They had informatiin on my debit card and amazon. I received an email from ****** that i need to put money in ****** for ******. I called the number that i thought at the time it wasc okay she sent stuff to me that had Amazon on it. They withdrawals of $499.00 times two. Plus my bank charge me for being overdrawn. I was told by Bank to contact you

I received an email of an invoice from PayPal of a $491 purchase ( Asus chromebook) today, June 5, 2023 and which I did not make. I called the number listed on the email to whom was impersonating a PayPal representative, he then was asking more personal information ( credit card number and email ) from me, to go over the charge made. obviously I did not answer.

I RECIEVED AN EMAIL FROM COINBASED WALLET SHOWING A CHARGE OF $570.92 WITH PAYPAY LOGO AT THE TOP. WHEN I CALLED THE NUMBER 888-454-1187 IT WAS ANSWERED BY A DAVID RIZED STATING HE WAS WITH PAYPALL AND PROVIDED HIS CALL BACK NUMBER OF 412-533-4018. HE DID NOT SPEAK VERY GOOD ENGLISH APPEARD TO BE FROM INDIA. HE ADVISED ME SOMEONE HAD OPEND A PAY PAL CREDIT LINE OF $5,000 AND TOLD ME THE ONLY WAY TO CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT WAS TO PURCHACE A $500 GIFT CARD FROM NORDSTROMS. HE ASSURED ME I WOULD GET AN IMMEDIATE REFUND. $500 WAS DEBITED FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT AND HAS NOT BEEN REFUNDED. I CALLED DAVID BACK AND ASKED FOR HIS SUPERVIOR SEAN WHO ALSO SPOKE WITH AN INDIAN ACCENT AND IDENFIED HIMSELF AS A MANAGER WITH PAY PAL. HE REQ I PURCHACSE ANOTHER GIFT CARD IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A SECURITY CODE WHICH THEY STATED WAS ONLY WAY FOR THEM TO CLOSE MY PAY PAL CREDIT LINE. I HUNG UP. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO NEXT

I saw a scam in my email yesterday. When I clicked on the email it did not make sense. It appeared to be from PayPal. It stated, we have received and confirmed your order. We thank you for choosing us as your favorite payment processor. Your order will deliver on February 13th. Call phone number 866-545-5108 if you have further questions. I don't use PyPal. I called the number. The person that answered said it was PayPal. I told them I did not order anything. I was directed to go to a new window and eliminate. They said $466.68 was collected in a bank account. They did not ask for account number. Every time I said I did not know any thing they told me not to worry. I did not give any personal information or pay money. They already had my email.

Sent email to me confirming a PayPal purchase at a Walmart in Texas for a Valentine Week Gift Hamper for $271.49. It said if you did not make this purchase you have 24 hrs to call us to get an instant refund. I did not make this purchase! The name the email came from is Marsha Hodes but cannot see the email address it was sent from.

This was a very convincing Paypal spoof. All links directed to www.paypal.com (except 1 to billmelater.com). The message was sent to "inactive" email account. Sender information includes phone number for Omaha, NE.
