today 10-05-2018 I received a call on my cell phone, caller # *** said I had won 5 million dollars and a new car but i needed to leave my house go to post office and get a gold seal, that would be my identification when they delivered my prize. I was to call them when I returned so they could deliver my prizes. The number I am suppose to call is 1-876-817-2384. I thought they would probably come in and rob my home when I left. I pray they will not come anyhow i am home alone and seventy four years old.

I received 3 calls from people claiming to be from Publisher's Clearinghouse-September 9th, September 22nd, and October 4th. The callers were John Church and John Benjamin. They said I won $1.9 million and they were paying $68,000 in income taxes so I just had to pay a $2,800 registration fee. They asked me if I had a checking account and how much was in it. I told them yes and gave them a fake amount that was in it. I've been scammed before so I called the BBB who told me it was a scam and advised me to not send any money.

Consumer's Son called:

My elderly mother received a call from a Jimmy Kingston from Publisher's Clearing House stating she won $5 million dollars. He gave my mother a phone number to call and a winning code. She supposedly won a Mercedes too.

Called by a perso who said her name was ANDREA Goldberg. I was to call another number and then ask to be transferred to ANDREA. I told her we had tickets to a concert and we’re leaving. That night when we got home and in bed she called twice again. The last time I told here if she called again I would call the police and report it as harassment.

I received a phone call saying I won the Publishing Clearing House sweepstakes. His name was John Henderson and he said his ID was 11220. He said I won 5.2 million dollars. That I would receive 5,000 a month every month for the rest of my life. He said I would also receive a brand new Mercedes Benz. But then he said I just needed to send $299 for tax purposes. That they will deliver today if I go to Walmart and get a check. I told him I have been a police officer for years, and that I will call the ScamPulse.com to report them. He told me they are with the ScamPulse.com and provided me a phone number for the ScamPulse.com (1-876-421-1583). I told him that is not the ScamPulse.com's number, and will still be calling them.

Some guy call me on the house phone saying I won $2.8 million dollars.

I ask him who am I?  He hung up on me.

Ashley Williams said they had won but to collect they needed to send $3482.00.

Then consumer was told to call John Thompson @ 702-479-0742. Then to wire money to:

Lynne Burfee 23 Crestview Dr East Pine City, New York 14871

- San Angelo, TX, USA

Caller says I won a PCH prize but I have to send cash to a local address and get a tracking number to give to him over the phone and to the person delivering the prize.

Received a letter with Publishers Clearing House logo stating prize winnings of $500,000. The letter included a check in the amount of $5978 to cover "insurance and attorney fees." The check, however was from "Wolach Home Improvements, LLC" supposedly drawn on Town & Country Federal Credit Union, 257 Route 1, Scarborough, ME 04074. We did not deposit the check. Tried to call the number but the recording said it was not set up.

We received a letter proporting to be from Publishers Clearing House with a realistic looking check for $5852.00 for "insurance and attorney fees" from *** on a *** *** *** N.A. chech with instructions not to tell anyone before calling one of two numbers with a security code ***. We supposedly won $500,000. The numbers are: actually to Amtrak Customer Services and Magic Jack, an unassigned number.

They said I won 5 million dollars, and a car and a bunch of other stuff. However, they requested $499.99 money order or check. Sounds like a scam to me.

- Tucson, AZ, USA

A man called me today stating I had won the big money prize from Publisher's Clearing House but I needed to go to Walmart and give them $2500.00 to "register" to receive the prize money today. When I told him that I thought he was trying to scam me, he insisted he was legitimate. This went on for several minutes because I wanted to see how far he would take it. When he realized that I was not going to give him any money he told me to some explicit words and hung up.

The individual call me on September 14, 2018, at about 3:15 PM CDT. He said that he was a Publisher's Clearing House employee named Paul Cooper and that I was a winner of $3.5 million and a BMW X7 Jeep. He gave me a PCH Badge no. of 3178295 and said that my winning package no. is 220204VUS. He further said that a team lead by a Bobby Jenkins would deliver the check to me and that I need a proof of my identification. I was to submit a registration form to PCH in the form of a US$362. Walmart to Walmart transfer. The payee for the transfer was Cloyd Sanford in Tullahoma, TN. The telephone no. that I referenced above is the one I copied from the caller ID on my telephone. The other information is from notes I took during the conversation.

- Saint Louis, MO, USA

Received a phone call from some one named David Moore (did not speak English very well). He stated that I had won $850,000.00 and a Mercedes. All I needed to do was get a cashiers check for $1800.00 and they would send me my winnings. I told them I would have the money for them and give it to them once they brought the gifts. They kept saying they needed the money first. I asked to talk to a supervisor and they put someone by the name of Bobby Brown on the phone. He kept saying the same thing. I finally hung up the phone. Then they called back 3 other times. My daughter answered the phone and told them not to call again and we were going to report them. Then my daughter called the phone number and it said thT it could be accessed at that time. Then my daughter blocked the number from my phone.

in message(s) like this, the scammer says that you have won a prize of $850,000. They also want you to reply with:

your name

address

phone #

gender/age/nationality

They stated we won 10.5 million and no taxes to pay on it !! delivered today with a brand new Mercedes Benz! If we gave our credit card information and paid her a $350 fee! Lol we knew better and told her we would pay her that fee as soon as we got that check and that new car! Then she hung up on us!
