My elderly father in-law received a letter saying he was the second place winner of the 100 Million Dollars Super Cash Giveaway Promotion sponsored by Readers Digest, Mega Millions and Multi-State Lottery Association. The total he won was $500,000.00 CONGRATULATIONS! They enclosed with the letter a check for $5,942.00 to cover insurance and attorney fees. He just had to contact my Claim Manger without delay BEFORE depositing the check at his bank for further information on this prize.

It then listed two different phone number and a security code. When I called, a man finally answered after several calls to the phone numbers and once I told him that I was so excited for my father in-law, and wanted to know what he had to do next, he said he would have to transfer me to the "winners" line. I was then transferred to a disconnected phone number. These people are lower then pond [censored]! I took the check, letter and envelope to the post office so they could pursue federal charges. I'm not delusional to think they will do that but that is what the FTC told me to do.

says i won a prize and they said they got stopped by a state marshall and need to pay $2500. I sent them $1300 over night express.

Scammer called me on CELL PHONE. Said he was Mark Wilson. Said I was 3rd prize winner in Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes and had won $155,000 plus a motor home. Delivery of a Registered Check and the motorhome would be made the next morning. Said our bank would need to see registration, required by law. (Not a PCH requirement, but legal requirement.) To get that registration I would need to go to Walmart and make a Walmart to Walmart transfer of $998.75 on a debit card to Melvin Tinklenberg in Texas. He said I was to save the receipt to get the money back after the deposit was made.

He had me carefully write his name and phone number, a Package Code, a Receiver Code, the Winning Number, a Confirmation Code, and a PIN Code. I was to call him and give him the Reference Number highlighted on the Walmart receipt after making the transfer. I made the transfer, called him, then cancelled it (getting my money back.) He gave specific instructions for the next morning: 1. Be fully, appropriately dressed, 2. Have three forms of identification, 3. Have the codes he just gave me,

He called the next morning to confirm that all was in order. He had told me who was going to be present, including himself. (His phone call was coming from Jamaica. He said that was in New York.) When I told him Pub Clearing House says they do not require any money to receive the prize, he carefully explained again that the money is still my money and I will be able to get it back after the deposit is made. When I told him I didn't believe him, he went through the explanation again. I discovered that the explanation was a recording with pauses for my responses (any response), then the recording continues. He was not then actually on the line.

Two or three days later, I received another call from the same man ON MY HOUSE PHONE. He introduced himself the same way with the same name. When I told him I had talked to him only a few days ago, he verified his name, Mark Wilson, then hung up.

I received a call froom a Mr. Bob Turner who said I wont $850,000 with Publishers Clearinghouse. He said 99% of taxes were covered but I would just need to send $399 at a Walmart. He said they were just 30 min away and that I needed to hurry and get it done ASAP. I took down all the following information:

ID #2971

A man called my boyfriend and said he was with Publishers Clearinghouse and said that I won $5000. He said he would get it through moneygram and they would come to my house and present him with it too. He didn't ask me to send anything except what bank I had. My boyfriend is not all there mentally so i handled the call which the guy didn't like. He kept wanting to talk to my boyfriend since he's been picking up the phone before. Knew it was a scam and told him that but he was very persistent about it not being one. I called the BBB to report it

I received a call today on my home telephone. Calling from consumer clearing house. I do not have the phone number. The call sounded far away. Then they transferred me to another representative. The caller stated I won $500,000. A courier would come August 8 and deliver my check between 9:00 -11:00 A.M. They did not ask me for money. They asked me how much money I had in my savings and checking account combined. They read off several levels. I told them I would not answer the question. I did not send any money.

I was supposedly notified by publishers clearing house that i was a prize winner and that it would be delivered to me. The prize was 5.5 million dollars and a Mercedes Benz. The prize would be delivered after I made a payment of $375. I called the business bureau to confirm and found out it was a scam.

Called me on my personal cell phone telling me that I won the Publishers House Sweepstakes, 2.5 million, and a brand new Mercedes. Said that they were based in Clarinda Iowa and would bring the money and Mercedes after I money grammed them $485. They wanted me to gram the money to Dayton, Ohio to a Kenric Chambers. Persons on the phone sounded like they had Jamaican accents.

A James Wilson representing Publishers Clearing House Company indicated he would visit with a 4.1 million $ check. But a $2500 check needs to be made out to a Merchant's Bank where it would be held as a one% tax for the IRS. They are in Madison and will visit in about 1-1/2 hour.

I recd a phone call at 12:25 this afternoon and I spoke w/Christy who stated I won 3.5 million dollars but I had to send $800 to Kimberly Daniel at 7821 NE 21st st, Gainesville, FL 32641. Christy told me it wasn't going to be public; it was going to be private. If I did it tomorrow, I would have to FedEx it. I told her I would have to make a few calls and hung up.

Received a letter from Publishers Clearing House saying I was a second place winner and had won $75,000. They enclosed a check for $4,823.11, and said must be deposited into my account only after speaking to the claims agent. I am suppose to call a Mr. Michael Austin at 877-315-6071. He would then process my prize. After looking at several similar situations on the ScamPulse.com website, I never made the call. The stamp on the envelope was Canada with no return address. The check Total Fina Elf ESPP Shareholder services, Troy, Michigan

Scammers name is James Anderson and he claims to be with Publishers Clearing House. He claims that the person he is calling for has won a prize car and an unspecified amount of millions in prize money. That seems to change with every call. In order for someone to claim prize money, they have to “pay” for the prize money.

I got a call yesterday and 14 more today from a man, David Silvera, w/a foreign accent saying I've won the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes sponsored by the ScamPulse.com and H & R Block. He said I won 3.7 million and a Chevy Malibu. He said I would need to pay $294 for a government stamp on the check. He asked if I wanted it advertised or kept quiet. He said I wouldn't tell anybody about this till you get your money. He told me to go to Walmart. He said I will be on the phone with you every step of the way, we will do this together. I said I can't believe it. He said well you're getting a lot of negative thoughts from other people. He said the people giving you negative advice are just jealous. He gave me the check number, and said I would get $7000 today. He said David Sayre, Andrew Goldberg and Barbara Gordon from PCH would be at my house with balloons and roses.

- Fort Worth, TX, USA

They contacted me through my friends Instagram account stating that they just received money. They gave me the number to call and information to give them. They started all you have to do is pay the deliver fee.

- Richland, WA, USA

Called at 5am pacific time and woke me up. Told me I had won 5.1 million dollars and a Mercedes car. I told him it was rude to call so early and he said that he would call me back in a half hour. It seemed like he was trying to get me to say yes. I did not. I called the Jamaica number back and expected no answer but that same person answered. It has been over half an hour and no call back.
