Puppy Scam Reports & Reviews (605)

Your basic pet scam. Thankfully I didn't fall for it.

My parents contacted the scammer using the website form to buy a beagle puppy. The transaction was made for $800 through Zelle and the beagle was supposed to be shipped 11/18/22 through fast https://www.fastlineairrelocation.com/ (which is also a scam). When the puppy was supposed to be shipped, they had an issue with shipping that required an additional $650 to be paid before it could be shipped. Luckily, I was able to stop my parents from paying that. The website is also a duplicate of another website https://karlsbeaglepuppies.com/ using same pictures, names, ages, etc.

We spoke/texted/emailed Willie Johnson regarding the purchase of an english puppy. Paid $ after signing contract, then asked for more money upon transport

Yorkie World.com (Anna) advertised beautiful Yorkies for sale on the internet. I selected a pup and she was going to ship the puppy to me. The only contact with her was e-mail or text. NO PHONE ! After several communications, I had a few questions when it came to the payment. She gave me phone #405-454-7778 in Oklahoma and suggested I speak to her husband. When I called, we had a very bad connection. A man answered with a heavy island accent. I asked if he spoke Spanish and he said no. So, I asked where he was from, he answered German. I couldn't understand him and suggested his wife (Anna) call me when she came in from work. She never called me. No return phone calls ever during our communication . I checked with ScamPulse.com and found a previous complaint about them scamming. I was so relieved that I didn't send them money. I continued searching for a pup and found Yorkie World had another website under the same name but had a different phone number 717-539-7096 in Pennsylvania. I hope this information will help others. BEWARE AND ASK QUESTIONS.

There is an ad listed on facebook that she was given away 8 yorkies puppies. I text her and she stated she had four left. She stated that rehoming fee is $200.00 and pictures of the puppies that was available. I could not pay when I text to find out the information about the puppies but we agrred when I get paid today on 11/18/2022 to contact her and she would on a female pup for me. I contact her today, and she stated it is $200 and I could send her $100 for reserving the puppy. I sent her $100 via zelle to [email protected] own by Nicole Devico. Sent the confirmation that I sent the payment. Then Mrs. McCray stated that I need to send $120.00 now for paperwork which was not mentioned in the beginning. I stated to her no I am not sending you anymore money because you were not honest with me. I asked for my money back and she refused to send it back to me. Now she claimed she is legit, but she will not refund my money. She had asked for my zelle history and I stated that I will not send her my zelle history. She continues to stress that I need to send $129 for paperwork and uploaded the paperwork American Kennel. I do think this is a con because if I kept sending her money, I would never receive my puppy that I wanted. I will try to upload the entire conversation that we had. i have tried to upload the pertinent information unable to copy everything but if you want me to come in and discuss this some more I would be happy to speak with you.

I just sent you how the conversation was going and where she states that I have to send $120. Will you be able to help me with this problem? Thank you, ******* ******* ********

I had found the website to adopt a dog for christmas. the website seemed to be legit. after reading testimonies i decided to purchase a dog, which became a complete scam. i already have the bank and police investigating my case. i would like nothing more than the website to be taken down before another innocent person is out at least $1000.

I was looking for a pug puppy. I came across cute puppies near me small breeds on Facebook. I asked about a pup and the seller contacted me right away. The seller said I needed to pay for half the pup now and the rest when the pup was delivered. They told me I had to pay 300 which I did through Zelle. 500 for the transfer of ownership papers. Shortly after I got a tracking number from blue waves logistics saying that I needed to pay 550 for a special crate. Then they needed 625 for a refund document because some of these charges were 95% refundable. My funds would refunded in the form of cash. Then they called said the pup needed to vet checked and needed to have a vaccine 920. That’s when I said I don’t have any more money to give. I’m canceling. I had to pay 190 to cancel and another 220 to change the delivery form.Saturday they told me I needed to 500 for reversal of ownership papers and 241 for feed and care of puppy. I all of these fees except the 920. Today the supervisor using phone number(223)308-9559. Said that the reason why I couldn’t reach the seller and they couldn’t is because the puppy was stolen and I have to pay 8,000.00 so I don’t go to prison.

I found the website online and decided to get a puppy through the website. The website looked very real to me. I was messaging through text and my email and ask the business owner to call me. I even spoke with the person and he assured me that this was real, and he was going to send me the puppy from Florida to Tucson via airplane. I was supposed to pay half upfront for the puppy which was $400. I sent it through Zelle which came out of my bank account immediately. I was supposed to give the other half when the puppy arrived here to Tucson. An hour or so after I gave him the money I started getting messages that he wanted the other half because there was a problem with the flight crate the dog was supposed to come in. I told the man we had a deal and I was not going to give any more of the money upfront. At this point I realized it was a scam and started asking him if it was a scam and then he never message back so I am out the $400 and I reached out to my bank to let them know what happened and they are working on a claim for me .

This was a scam for a puppy that was available after another person supposedly cancelled. The seller would not facetime, used a site ending in .site which I have read is a red flag, used zelle, when the payment said pending (they asked for a screen shot) they insisted we call the bank to have them release the funds immediately. They have stopped replying will not return the money.

An ad was put on Facebook for a cavapoo puppy ready to go to a new home, after someone had cancelled, the seller would not facetime, asked for zelle payment when the payment was pending, told me to call the bank to have them release. The website ended in .site, all seem to be warning signs. Has not refunded the money.

I was purchasing a puppy but after I paid the scammer breeder, the transport company call yo say they would need to have me rent for 1100 an crate to fly the dog in. That’s when I knew I’d been scammed. I was able to speak to the scammers but now the phone rejects all calls. I’ve tried multiple phones.

Offered dachshund puppy 11 weeks 4 days for 700 plus $30 delivery fee

Emailed back and forth quickly but when I asked for the breeders address did not get a response.

All communication was thru email.

I received pictures of the dogs parents plus extra pictures of the intended pup to purchase.

ScamPulse.com Oklahoma confirmed scam. Apparently site was Set up in

Iceland 2022.

I reached out to the company in hopes to purchase a mini goldendoodle for my family. I had to complete an on-line application. Once selected they included detailed information (breed/pictures/video) of the puppy. Provided information on supplies needed and food that the puppy was currently eating. They were asking half off on the puppies since a new litter was about to be born and him (David Athenas) & his wife worked full time. I paid a total of $1,000 for the puppy and transport. Once I paid this fee the seller sent me a text indicating the puppy was at the courier service (Air Compentence Transportation Logistics). The courier service sent me a cargo tracking email (https://actransportlogistins.com/cargo-tracking/) where they gave me a tracking # for my puppy. An hour later I received an email and call from this courier service indicating the crate that was dropped off with the puppy was non-compliant and a $900 depsoit will need to be placed by "Zelle" to transport the puppy. They said this fee would be 100% refundable upon delivery of the puppy. I immediately contacted the seller regarding my concerns but he only replied by text. I said it was his responsiblity to get this cleared up since it was part of my contract. He said I would need to contact the courier service and get it handled. After back and forth through emails to the seller and calls from the courier service I realized this was a scam. These scammers need to be stopped and these websites need to be shut down immediately.

My dad got scammed out of $700 dollars for a puppy. I messaged the person and she tried to do the same thing to me

The individual who claimes to be James gives you multiple account to Venmo, Zelle or google pay money non of which have past transactions. The individual is extremely rude and insults you in order for you to feel pressured to make a purchase. Buyers need to be aware.

Paid for new puppy then got fake information and fake shipping company. Will be reporting them nex.

My mother called this gentleman looking for a new puppy----he calls himself ***** ********** posing as a dog kennel for Labrador Retrievers. The website is 'fake' at https://goldens-pup.business.site/ and he wanted a $300 deposit towards the $800 cost of the dog-----he did not want her to pay in person, and would not accept credit cards. He has a heavy Indian accent, and was very difficult to understand---my wife (on behalf of my mom) paid the gentleman $300 via Venmo, to the name ******* Neiko, which had a Facebook link as FN for the photo, and @victoiredivine as the Venmo recipient. I filed a fraud claim with Wells Fargo to try and reverse the payment, I called and spoke to the Flagler County Sheriff, who confirmed there is not a dog kennel at that home. I also am filing a complaint with the St. Johns County Sheriffs Office, as we live in this area, just north of Flagler County. Thank you.

Scammer seemed legit with constant and thorough conversation for days until after payment was received and then became vague. Minutes before the puppy that was purchased was supposed to be shipped via airplane- there was an outside company with the breeders phone number attached to their website requesting an addition 1500$ for a new crate for the dog to board the plane, in which the breeder states they “ know nothing about “ even with screen shots of the webpage. Then stated they would “ help by paying 50/50 of the addition funds “. The animal was supposed to be taken to the airport and not to my home, and the email kept stating it was being delivered to my home, along with other information which was false including my home town ( which was somewhere 45 miles away ).

I was directed to their website from a Google Ad. I was skeptical at first because the puppies were well below market value for a Klee Kai puppy. They sent a "sales agreement" to me with an address that does not exist. Then they sent their Zelle information (the account was under someone else's name) asking for payment up front. When I asked for a video they sent a video of three puppies playing and a voiceover saying my name. I asked to video chat with them and the dog and they refused, then they sent over another video claiming to be of the dog - however it was the same exact video of the first one with a DIFFERENT voiceover. They clearly just have that one video and have found pictures of puppies online. Also, when I asked for a reference they gave me one and it was completely fake, as the person said he loved the puppy he got then sent two pictures which were not the same dog! Be aware.

These gals ask for 3 parts for payment for puppies after u pay part 1 they put a not available on the puppy u wanted. They pretend to make sure you are verified? To be able to sell the puppy to u even get a receipt with a #. They do a health check with their veterinarian. They would pay for shipping then shipping had a problem with “Department of transportation” then we had to pay for shipping GVM logistic was very deficit they gave us a lot of way too pay for shipping com. phone #’s that Website did not work. Go to a pet shop or someone house may be safer. We where so worried about puppy being at shipping company for weeks, but they assured us she was very happy and taken care of by shipping com.
