I was hired to get packages in the mail and ship them out. Promised pay and locked out of the system

- Columbia, MD, USA • Feb 15, 2024

I was reached out from Indeed.com about a a stay at home job offer. I worked for about 1.5 months receiving and shipping packages. I was owed $150 for my efforts and then one day the portal to the job was no longer excepting my credentials. I reached out to the “support team” but never had a reply. And to this day, I still can’t get in contact with anyone.

I received an email for a job interview and set up a time and date. I completed interview and was offered the temporary position on a 30 day probation period. Was told after depending how i did i could receive full time position offer. Was sent instructions, information, supervisor details etc. Also sent in my info to payroll and filled out tax forms. I was told i would be paid 2000 base salary plus bonuses if completed correctly. I had to recieve packages and take pics of them plus contents inside and repotlrt all details then had to repackage them print new labels and ship them off within a time frame. I received 4 packages total and did exactly as told. Received them thru Ups and fed ex and shipped them same way. Even had to pick up a package at one point w a pic of an authorization letter w my name on it w some gentlemans passport picture and it was also notarized. My check was supposed to be sent the 12th and was supposed to recieve my final report and know if i was gonna be offered a full time position. Check never came, now nobody responds. One of these items was a fish finder costing over 2000 dollars. Im super worried now as to what they were really doin and if my family and i are safe or what i need to do. I also spent over 300 dollars buying a printer, packaging supplies, fuel to get to shipment centers etc. Really put me in a bind

I did a job through there company. When it was time to get paid they left and will not return my email's or phone calls.

- Addyston, OH, USA • Jan 26, 2024

This company, the (Amazon seller fulfillment LLC ) wrote me on Indeed about a job position work from home having packages sent to my home or postbox, receiving them making claims about the item and they would give me labels to print to send back to wherever they were supposed to go all this has been over email PDF files document employee agreement over DocuSign I thought this was very legit, but I have had a bad feeling, considering they sent me a supervisor name and number with email on instructions on what to do next step-by-step this process has been 1 to 2 days and I will get an email back with my next assignment on what to do. I never had an interview a guy from a different country named (Alex kravic) supposedly this was going to be my supervisor. The labels were going to be through email and also where to return them like FedEx UPS USPS I have not ever heard of a job or everything is through email. Also they told me I would be paid $2000 a month, but I would not receive my payment until 30 days and I could get bonuses and all that then they sent me an email with instructions on how to contact HR to make sure I get paid to write them and they would be waiting on a email from me . I found that very odd i’ve worked in a lot of warehouse and several other jobs and it’s never been this way. I thought it was legit, considering the doc you sign the employment agreement and everything else it seemed as the job would be legit until Alex the supervisor called me and was so quick to get off the phone without even answering at this job was a W-2 or 1099. I felt as he should know that, so I looked into this situation, and I found other people going through the same type of issues and situations as I was directed by this company to do as well I feel like they are just using different names for different companies, but they are using the same direct details on what the job position entails

It’s a Reshipping job scam

- Clarksville, TN, USA • Jan 17, 2024

Receive packages using own address

Unpack and examine incoming shipments

Forward packages using prepaid shipping labels

Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received

- New Haven, CT, USA • Jan 16, 2024

Comes in the form of a job, where you receive packages for them. Check what is inside and then ship them back out with a new shipping label that was provided by them. Paid once a month, if you needed to spend any money on packaging it would be reimbursed. Claim that it is like a paid internship after the first 30 days if you do great you would become an independent contractor. But after that 30 days no contact, no payment and you will be locked out of the account you been using all month.

Same scenario as the previous posters ... The company Marketsplanner offered me a job position through email. The position is to be a marketplace, product manager. The job consists of having items shipped to your home, then you inspect the product. The company will then create a dashboard for you too. Send photos and shipping labels to confirm that you got the item. Then they will email you a prepaid shipping label where you are to re-ship out the item to Amazon fulfillment centers. Supposedly you will get paid a total of $1500 a month including bonus pay of $50 every time you correctly send over inspection pictures. There is also supposed to be a $300 extra per month for boxes, gas, and shipping supplies. I did this for two months, only getting two items unlike they promised 15 for the first month ... but also when the payment date came, my login credentials stopped working. I have contacted the person they list as their VP using a reverse image search of the photo in one of their earlier emails. He is aware they are using his name and likeness has nothing to do with the company plus lives halfway across the country from them. I also have all of the information still such as shipping labels (on where these items came from and where I was to send them), application forms, email address and etc.

They stated that I would be picking up packages and taking pictures and then mailing them back out and for every package that was mailed out before its deadline I would receive a bonus. They would always call to check to make sure that the package would go out and when or what time the package would go out. They would call to let me know that I had a new package in the dashboard and to accept it and to be on the look out for it.

I was told by a friend about a job he'd been approached about on Indeed and the pay was decent and a work from home position shipping packages. I was looking to make extra income and applied for a job with them and was hired. I submitted my paperwork (W-$4, direct deposit form) and signed and employment agreement that said I would receive packages to inspect and ship to recipients all through their portal on freightsctrl.com. I would take a pic of the package and the content to make sure there was nothing damaged and then they would send me a delivery label to download and ship at most UPS or FedEx. I was to be paid on Dec. 29 a sum of $3200 plus a daily bonus of $1 for logging in daily and possible $25 bonuses if packages were shipped in a 24 hours period after receiving the shipping label. Nothin in the packages looked suspect or illegal, just merchandise from stores people ordered. My friend informed me he did not get paid and I started to worry the same would happen to me. I also started having a hard time getting my phone calls returned. Maria finally called me back asking if I'd received a package showing in my que. I informed her about my friend not getting paid and that I was having car issues and could not ship any merchandise. I also had not accepted the task for delivery of this package which was suppose to happen. She said she didn't deal with the payroll just shipping and she would speak with someone about it. I stopped logging in and tried to lof in on the day I was suppose to be paid and could no longer log in.

Thy approach through email with a job as a shipping coordinator and offer a 3000 base pay with 30 for each package after it was shipped out and at first everything seems fine cause all I had to do was wait for a package and wait for them to send a label with the new address but then some packages came back fraudulent when the UPS or FedEx person tried to mark the package as delivered and that when I became aware that it might be a scam and all of a sudden the woman started getting a attitude and when it came around time to get paid nothing they don't answer the phone or anything and now I know that it's probably a scam and stuff and just want people to be aware of this so it doesn't happen to them

Fake job offer and they send you product promising payment after 30 days then payment will every Friday

- Chicago, IL, USA

Was contacted via email by [email protected] claiming that my resume was discovered on a job seeking web page. I replied with interest then was emailed by [email protected] informing me I needed to fill out an application. I was then contacted by phone by a guy for a “interview” we spoke briefly and was told I could start the following week. Was then contacted by [email protected] stating she was my supervisor. After a series of questions and directions on how to handle parcels, I was provided a link to a dashboard called Smart Panel, this is how I would manage any parcels I received. Most times random items were delivered to my home without notice. I took pictures, uploaded the photos of the items and once I dropped them off at either UPS or fedex I would then upload a copy of the receipt. Today 12/21/2023 is suppose to be my payday (30 days from shipping my first parcel) I have received no payment and can no longer log into smart panel as my login is now invalid. I filled out a W2 with my social security number, these individuals also have my banking information.

- Concord, NC, USA

I received a job application supposedly from Amazon Distribution to work from home reviewing packages from new sellers, they sent me a contract and wrote me different supervisors making me believe that I was working and going through a trial period, at the end of the trial period I never received the check they were supposed to send.
