Calls from Marriott saying you won a free trip. Wanting you to say yes and then they hang up. It's a scam and it needs to stop.

I had a call last night that id'd Zaxby's #750-1198. The caller was foreign asking if I was the home owner. I replied "no I am not" and hung up.

Today (April 13) I had another call 750-7957. The call was foreign and wanted to speak to the home owner. I just hung up. Later today we called both numbers back and they have been disconnected.

I don't know if it is anything or not but I didn't have a good feeling about it.

The call was an automated voice saying my car warranty was running out and asked if I wanted to speak to a representative. When I said yes the line put me on hold and then went dead. I called the car dealership and they said the call was fake. The automated voice knew my name and claimed that I had been sent letters, which again the dealership denied as my warranty is not running out. When I called the number back that called me it said the number was invalid. 803-219-1717

I answered with my name and the man said hello a few times. Sounded drowned out. Then said "hello can you here me?" I said yes. And also asked for a name. I said must have wrong number. He said sorry for the inconvenience then I hung up. I am worried that this may be the "Can you here me scam"

after realizing I didn't know this person and he didn't know me I immediately hung up....but he did do the hello hello can you hear me and I do believe I said yes.

Got a phone call and was asked "Can you hear me?" It sounded like my daughter in law and i said yes. Then she asked what prize i wanted. I hung up at that point.

I answered the phone and the voice said "I this is Josh from the customer service department. Can you hear me ok." I was unaware that this scam was going around. so I did say "okay?" Kind of questionable. Now I hear that this scam was going around trying to get you to answer 'YES'. So I hope I didn't mess up by saying 'ok'.

Received a phone call today from local number. The lady said something about her headset then ask if my name was ------. I said yes not thinking and she said because I had visited a resort in the past in Florida I qualified for a discounted trip/cruise including breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 2 nights. She ask if I was 18 or older and I said "I am" and she said excuse me I didn't get that. I repeated it and she kept saying the same thing. I realized then that something wasn't right so I hung up. Called the number back and it said the survey had ended.

I didn't think anything about it being she said my name and she sounded like a real person.

Twice I received a call from the same voice, I didn't realize it was recorded. She said something about adjusting her headset and asked if I could hear her now, and I responded yes both times without catching myself and hanging up.

What can I do about this? I am already on the Do Not call registry but it does not stop any of these types calls at all. I hope I am not about to get scammed out of any money or anything else just by saying the would yes to the question "can you hear me now".

Call from an unknown number asking if I could hear them. I said yes. Automated voice then started talking about something and I hung up. I tried calling back to see if they would answer but all it said was "Thank you, the survey you were contacted for is now complete, press 9 if you wish to be removed from future surveys."
