Since my car wasn't running, one of the salesman drove to my house to pick me up and bring me to their location in Rancho Cordova to test drive a couple of cars. I loved all 3 cars that I drove it was so hard to choose the one that would fit me the best. Alex the salesman that helped me was very helpful with breaking down the details and helping me make the right choice. The car had only fifty eight thousand miles and it drove like a dream. The only problem was the small crack on the windshield and they had it replaced the next day a mobile service came out to me.
They re-washed the car for me to have it sparkling clean with a touch up detail. I paid my cashiers check so there was no financing involved, took 20 min to complete paperwork including all the signing.
In all the time I have had this car there have been zero issues other than a minor headlight bulb that cost twenty five dollars. I purchased a reliable car at a good price and couldn't be happier. This company will put every car dealership out of business if they had locations all over the nation. High recommend them to anyone in the market for a used new car.
I called the next day and left a deposit (which they explicitly stated was 100% refundable) because I wanted the car but wanted my tuner to inspect it before purchasing. Daniel said that was no problem and that SHIFT Auto Brokers actually encouraged that. After a few days and some soul searching, I realized the Camaro was not a good fit for me. The Camaro was insanely fast, fun to drive, but not very practical for me. Which I begrudgingly realized.
I called Daniel and told him I ended up with a new truck, and he was super cool about it. He issued me a full refund and was very professional about the whole thing.
Although I ultimately didn't buy a car from them, I would HIGHLY recommend working with SHIFT Auto Brokers. It was certainly not your typical car buying experience. Much appreciated Daniel, and in a few years when I'm looking for another toy, I'll be sure to give you guys a look first. Thanks!

There is also a car dealership called Shift.com. It doesn't appear to be the same company. I believe many of the positive comments for Shift Auto Brokers of Troy Mi are actually for Shift.com, but somehow they are ending up on Shift Auto Brokers review website. Your website is enabling these scammers.
Every single employee I dealt with, in person or on the the phone was clear, kind and helpful. And with the five day, no questions asked return policy, I was glad to be able to take it to my trusted mechanic and make sure it checked out. Mostly it totally did - just a couple minor issues (nail in one tire... low oil) - and when I contacted SHIFT Auto Brokers to tell them, they reimbursed me for the cost of both the tire fix and oil change. Also a huge plus that they deal with all the DMV stuff and paperwork.
After years of only buying vehicles off of Craigslist, working with SHIFT Auto Brokers has been a far better experience. Don't have first hand experience with selling a car with them, but I whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone in the market for a new used car!

One suggestion to SHIFT Auto Brokers... I got a text after I chose my pickup date / time that said I was sent an email w/details. Well there was no email... which was a little worrisome. Tried texting back to the roboSMS and then tried the website robo chat which had no idea what I was talking about. Suggestion, either actually send an email w details or have a way to see them in the website transaction.
Once Holly called me all was well, but that disconnect and inability to reach a rep is probably driving your negative reviews.

I requested a date of 5/23/20 and time of 11:00 am for my pick up about a week in advance. (Filling out the paperwork online and getting approved was easy) I arrive about 15 minutes early and was immediately greeted by a SHIFT Auto Brokers advocate. He knew what car I was there for based on the timeframe. He made the process a breeze and talked me through it with great detail and professionalism. Although I had already signed most of the paperwork online there were a few DMV/REGISTRATION papers to fill out which took a few minutes.
Once all the paperwork was completed I was handed a coin to insert into the "vending machine" to retrieve my car. You can't really see the machine in action from the inside of the lobby but they do have a tv showing the process. The car is brought down and does a runway like walk towards and even makes a full 360 turn. Then the car enters a designated bay where you can go to meet it and inspect it.
After inspecting and approving it the keys are handed over and you're off! My particular vehicle had a few gifts inside from SHIFT Auto Brokers which was very thoughtful.

I found the car I bought on Autotrader and sent a message to check availability; Michael from SHIFT Auto Brokers responded less than 5 minutes later! Not only were his responses quick, they were always thorough and helpful. I asked dozens of questions and Michael was able to answer all of them without making me feel like an inconvenience. Since this was a long-distance, sight-unseen purchase for me I wasn't able to inspect the car the way as one normally would in-person. But the excellent photos on the the Southeast website were helpful in building the confidence to make the purchase. The last step before committing to purchase the car was arranging a pre-purchase inspection at a local dealership, which Michael had completed within 24 hours (impressive, given that this was just two days before Christmas). The inspection came back clean, and I sent Michael a reasonable deposit to hold the car until I could travel to Florida to pick it up.
A few days later I flew to Ft Lauderdale, and Michael had arranged for a car service to meet me at the airport and drive me to his building. When I arrived I was blown away by the car - it was just as pictured, no surprises! Rich's building is really clean and nice; he runs a tidy operation. All of the cars in his showroom were really nice too; he is very selective about what he sells. We took a short test drive, Michael filled the car with gas, then we went back to quickly finalize the paperwork and send me on my way back to Atlanta!
I would absolutely do business with SHIFT Auto Brokers and Michael again. If you are an out-of-town buyer, don't have any hesitation - Michael will take care of you!

I don't care if your husband, mother or neighbor's uncle does all your repairs and maintenance in the driveway, give SHIFT Auto Brokers Auto + Tires a visit and you'll be a regular for sure.
The concierge Anthony met me right on time for the appointment (coming in a Lyft) at my apartment parking lot, did a thorough evaluation of the car, then went with me on a test drive and came with an offer with reasonable deductions from the initial price. There was no bait and switch, they worked right off the quoted price and made a few reasonable deductions. I did keep my car in good condition for the 5+ years I had it so it does pay to maintain it well when selling it (and providing both key fobs). I agreed to the price, signed the pink slip and his ipad, provided my banking information and was advised I would have the money deposited in a few days. There was a $100 bonus for selling them the car on their first visit. He drove off with my car and I received copies of the contract by email.
In the contract there is a 24 hour waiting period where they inspect the car at their base for any frame damage, title issues, rust and major mechanical problems (and unresolved safety recalls) before releasing the funds to you, so if you try and hide something serious they can return the car to you and void the deal. The next day I received an email saying the funds are being released and all is good.
That was easy as it gets. Kudos to Anthony who was very professional and his back-office support staff that made the whole process take only about 90 minutes. Sure beats me having to drive the car somewhere, then waiting and Ubering back after the sale. And yes I did get paid the agreed upon amount into my bank account on the second business day.
I would recommend them to everyone as a potential alternative to Carmax and Carvana. SHIFT Auto Brokers is a business that acts with integrity to car sellers and presumably does the same to buyers. The used car market is a huge business, and the more competition we have the better.
