Recording said my social security number was frozen due to theft in texas. Press 1 for more information. I pressed 1 and a man with a foreign accent came on the line and asked me my name and said I said why he said I need to get info from me. It seems there is an alert on my SSN. I told him he sound illegitimate and I'd be calling to report. The phone hung up and when I tried to call the number the sound of incomplete call tones, then pre-recorded your call cannot be completed at this time.

Robo call said my socialsecurity number has multiple fraudulent id and my account was frozen. They want me to press 1 to speak with an agent

Phone call advising that social security number has been compromised

- East Flat Rock, NC, USA

The calls start with a professional sounding recording stating they are calling from the Social Security Administration and that there has been a problem with the account and it has been cancelled. Today, 08/24/2020, is the fifth time in two weeks that I have been called. The first two calls, I was unavialable to answer so they left the recorded message on my phone. The third time I answered but no one answered on their end. the fourth time when prompted to select 1 to talk to a representative I hung up. Today, however, I selected 1 to speak to the representative. A man who spoke understandable English, but had a major accent, answered the phone. He kept asking leading quesstions like: Why are you calling me today? Is there a problem with your account? and What can I do for you today? After the first question I answered 'I don't know you are the one who called me.' I answered each question vaguely to see how much he would say. He did finally state there may be a problem with my SS account and asked me for the last four digits of my SS number. When I said, 'No I don't think I want to do that.' The phone went dead. During the call I could hear foregin voices in the background talking like it was a call center. The number comes up on my caller ID from Vermont. The two numbers they called me from today are; 316-208-0783 and 314-685-8219.

I'm called several times a day saying there has been fraudulent activity of my social security number in another state. I've not returned the calls, when I pick up it is an automated message.

At first woman's official recorded voice says, that suspicious is going on with my social security account. If I want more information to click 1. After I did at the first time I heard a mail voice with suspicious accent, probably, Chinese saying Hi and after that I decided that it is a scam and hanged up. After that I called Social security and they told that everything is fine with my account and they know about the calls. ..i blocked the the number and they started calling me from different phone numbers that I put on the list. I blocked all of them

- Fort Mill, SC, USA

The robo call says that my social security number has been frozen due to fraudulent activity and tries to get me to speak to a representative to take care of the problem.

I have been getting 5-10 calls a day. Each time it’s another number, but I’ve started keeping track of the numbers.

- Charlotte, NC, USA

I received a call saying that an arrest warrant had been issued for my social security number, and that I needed to call the number listed. My telephone identified the caller as **** ** *******.

- Cornelius, NC, USA

On 7/28/2020 I received a call saying my social security number had been suspended because of suspicious activity. I was encouraged to call a number (I didn't record it) and I hung up on the caller.

I received two calls within several hours of each other and quickly hung up and deleted the numbers each time. The caller noted that there had been some sort of suspicious activity with my Social Security card, at which time I hung up. It sounded like an American caller on the recorded line.

your social security account has been hacked. We are getting call at least 5 times a day

- Harrisburg, NC, USA

I have received multiple recorded calls from what is termed the Social Security Administration, saying my account has been fraudulently used and they are locking my account until I press 1 to speak to a representative. All have been from the same area code and first three digits of 773 with different last four digits. These numbers are cell phone numbers. When I called one number back the person answering says they did not make a call to anyone. Someone is piggy-backing on peoples cell numbers for these scam calls. I did not press the number to speak to any representative, I just hung up but blocked these numbers.
