They said they were calling from Social Security and they need my Social Security number in order to help me. I spoke with a man and I refund to give my Social Security number. I received a message on my cell phone. The message was difficult to understand. There was a lot of background noise. The caller said he was from Social Security. The phone number in my caller ID 775-299-4565. He gave his name. Benjamin Wellingstin. He gave badge number 502030. My caller ID showed Debt Collector with the phone number. I was to call them back. When I called them back a man with an accent said my Social Security number was being suspended for fraudulent activity and to call them back. He said everything was going to be recorded. He needed some information from me. He asked for my Social Security number. I said I do not feel comfortable. I then said you give me my Social Security number. He said he couldn't. He said he was not allowed to give any information. I said I feels the same way, We said good by and hung up. It did not feel right that my Social Security number was being suspended. I've never heard of this. The call scared me. I did not give out my Social Security number.

They call multiple times and say there with social security and if I dont respond I'll be contacted by the police, I call them back and ask what they want and they just hang up. Continue to call after I request them to stop.

I received a call on my cell phone. It was an automated, female voice. Not sure of the exact wording, but she said they had detected some "fraudulent activity under my social security number." She said to call this number for more information, (914) 353-0583 (also the number they called from). My caller ID picked up the location as Croton-on-Hudson, NY. I did NOT call the number, called bbb instead.

- Geneseo, IL, USA

They called me from the first number every 30 minutes for 3 hours from noon till 3 and left a voice mail every time. Day 2 was exactly the same thing but they called from the second number. I answered one of the calls....and the computer automated message was exactly the same thing as my voicemails. They claimed that my social security card had suspicious activity and they were going to shut it down if I didn't call a certain number. Unfortunately I deleted all voicemails and didn't document that number. I would love to email you the number tomorrow if they call again. Is that possible? Also...one of the sentences they used didn't make sense in the English language which lead me to believe this is from over seas. Also...I never called the number they told me to...so I don't know if they wanted money or not. I assume they would have to clear my card.
