I am calling to report a call I received from Whitaker CA. The caller claimed to be someone from Social Security. I know it is a scam. They wanted me to call them back right away. 562-395-0102. I know this is fraud done on Social Security. They try to get people to give out information. I wanted to report the phone number that called. I called the number back. Message stated this is Social Security leave a number.

I received a call on my cell phone. The caller stated they were with Social Security. I could not understand his name. He had an accent. He said I was accused of drug trafficking and money laundering. He wanted my name and Social Security number.If I did not tell him my name and my social security number there would be a warrant for my arrest and jail time. I said Social Security does not call people. He kept asking me for my name and number. I did not give any information out. My caller ID showed 1-940-489-4134 and Angle TX I hung up on him. I called the number right back. The number did not go through. I got a busy signal. I called a second time. I let it keep ringing and someone answered. They answered Social Security office. He wanted my name, social security number and phone number. I refused. I said you have to tell me what this is about first. I said I don't understand. Social Security does not call. He sounded like he was reading something off. Then he threatened me with jail time. He said somebody has got your Social Security number and is using it. That is why he is asking me.I don't let anyone scam me.

On 1/26/19, I received a call from someone with a foreign accent identifying himself as from the fraud department of Social Security, stating a car had been found on the Mexican border in Texas that was rented in my name, and in the car they found 6 lbs. of cocaine, and blood, and I was going to be charged with drug trafficking and possible murder. They had my full name, my address, and my telephone number. The caller stated they knew it was fraud and not me, but needed my Social Security number as proof, because they know my record is clean. When I refused to give it to him he became irate and stated that he would send me something in the mail, (because he knows that Social Security does not call, but in the meantime before it arrived they would be reporting this and a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I refused to give my Social Security number, and told him to send the mail he needed to send and I would take it up with my local police department. I received another call this morning from a different phone number, 325-218-4871 and the same message was left. I have blocked the numbers, but I am sure they will call again from a different number. The message is a recording stating to not ignore the message and call this number before we begin with legal proceedings against you. The prerecorded robotic message is a woman with no particular accent. Thank you,

Today I received two Calls from 214-613-3866, it was a Recorded call stating that my Soc. # had been used in a Fraudulent scheme, and I should call that # back and someone from the Social Security Administration would walk me through, All I needed was my Soc. # so they could track the Problem, I knew this was a scheme to get my Personal Information.

Message left on my recorder by a robo caller machine at 1:36 p.m. 01/09/19: "This is a message from the Social Security Administration, your Social Security Number is being suspended due to suspicious activity in the state of Texas. Please call us at your earliest possible time to discuss this matter 425-286-8832" Machine hung up.

I know that the SSA does not call you, I have a tough enough time getting someone to answer when I call them, as I have to try to out wit the answering machine and sometimes the transfer machine to get to talk with an agent.

I just thought that you might include this number in the multiple numbers on file with the same/similar scheme to steal identity.
