Then the call said her name was Emily and she was calling because I had recently stayed at a resort. I tried to interrupt by saying Emily, Emily and the call just kept going so I hung up. Then I realized I had probably been part of the YES SCAM. I live in South Carolina. Made this report immediately. Don't know the extent of the scam to me at this time.

An automated voice called, saying it was a "final notice" on our cars warranty expiring. It asked if we would like to speak to a representative 3 times in a row. We finally said "yes" and the call immediately hung up. We called back, and it was an automated voice simply asking if we wanted to be removed from their "list".

- Boulder, CO, USA

I believe that this company was trying to get my recorded voice saying the word "YES" so that they can make charges to one of my accounts. They offered a free trip to Florida/Bahamas. But, I had to answer 3 questions to qualify. 1.) Are you over 18 years old? 2.) Do you have a house hold income over $40K? 3.) Do you have a major credit card to register with the hotel front desk? Obviously, the answer to all 3 questions was "YES". So, they now have record my voice saying "YES" 3 times. I understand that they is a scam in which these people use my recorded voice to charge things to one of my account. UGH!
