Vehicle Services Division Reports & Reviews (146)

I received a bill for $199.00 for vehicle protection plan from Vehicle Services Division, no agency/company, address, website or name of anyone from there, just a 1-888 # which I assumed was a fraud. I googled the # & found it's fraud/scam. I always do this before I'd pay anything of give personal info.

I've been receiving these letters in the mail multiple times. Each time they have a different year/make/model of cars I've never owned, one being a 2021 Nissan. They ask for VIN and current mileage. It is signed with a stamp named Richard Thomas, Program Coordinator 1-800-851-0673, which is the same number they want you to call. Such a scam. I hope they get closed down before too many people fall to their scam and lose money.

LUCKLY I DID NOT HAVE THAT AMOUNT SO I ASKED FOR SOME TIME TODAY , AND HE TOLD ME IN A VERY RUDE WAY THAT HE COULDNT WAIT , THAT I WAS GIVEN ENOUGH TIME , THEN I SAID " IM SORRY I DONT HAVE THAT AMOUNT AND HE SAID " YOU ARE THE ONE WHOS GONNA BE SORRY , NOT ME " THEN I REALIZED THAT IT WAS NOT A REAL COMPANY . THANKFULLY I DID NOT PAY AND THEN I DISCOVERED THIS PAGE! PLEASE BE AWARE! IT IS A SCAM!

I got a letter in the mail and I had not even bought the car yet. Only test drove it. They even sent a check to register the vehicle. The notice was sent on the 9th and I didn’t purchase the car until the 23rd. No return address, no email, nothing.

LOL - I don't and never have had a car! Some sort of "servace contract" Program Coordinator 1 - 888 307 1175 Mark Smith "lol and be at RISK for financial liability" (I used to work for NYC lawyers!

I also got a physical letter in the mail although they did not have my apartment number, telling me that my nonexistent 2021 Mazda CX – five has an upcoming expired factory warranty. It looked like spam but there was no business name. I called simply to find out who it is and I can’t make out the name of the group on the message. I did not leave one. Thank you for verifying that this is Spam. I’m curious that I am on their list.

- Westfield, NY, USA

Mail received with a vehicle registration fee voucher for $199.00 for a vehicle that was not registered. Stating the coverage on this vehicle is going to expire when it's not even registered.

When I bought a new car and wanted to switch insurance companies, I got a letter saying my insurance was about to expire and I had to call them right away. I thought it was a legit company so I called. After talking about the year and model of the vehicle, they hung up impatiently. This is ridiculous. Don't be fooled, if you get these messages, don't reply to them

"Steven Wilson" put his number
1-800-298-**** instead of
1(800) 298-**** Dead giveaway. So after they get your $$$ they cancel service because "your car doesn't qualify" & you can't claim fraud because you authorized the payment. If it was sent to me I wouldn't care as much but they tried to scam my mom & my dad recently passed away & that Makes me want to ask my coworker to work her forensic magic & find the printer used & pay Mr."Wilson" a court sanctioned visit & issuing my own final notice.
SCAM: After you pay you don't qualify.

Guys, I got the same email too and I'm a college student so I'm kind of new to all this stuff and I assumed they are a somewhat formal agency and called. They asked for my vehicle information and were talking about warranty coverage. The man that answered my phone call was just so impatient and literally hung up on me after 2 minutes because he lost patient explaining what they are offering. It's just so ridiculous and annoying that they are trying to spam but they r kind of stupid. Stay aware and make sure you check the mail sender before you call or do anything.

So I keep getting these in the mail and it's driving myself crazy. No clue how they got my name and address? I don't even have or even own a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

This letter just states, our records shows that you have not contacted us regarding the vehicle service contract on your 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. You are receiving this notice because your factory warranty expired or may about to expire.

Call 1-888-413-6075 with Vin, current mileage before December 2nd
Sincerely Mark Smith (Program Coordinator) 1-888-413-6075

Wrong vehicle, No email, No return address, and two different numbers? Sounds fishy

Yeah if anyone encountered the same thing. Possibly a scam for your real info.

I got a similar mail stating the same thing but there is no return address. My name was spelled wrong along with not even the right year of my vehicle. This is the second letter they have sent and this one says FINAL NOTICE. Good, let's hope these scamming [censored] don't send anymore of this scamming mail.

I received a letter from this company stating my auto insurance would be terminated unless I responded by 11-14-2022 with my current mileage, I am a senior, Interestingly, I received letter on 11/17/2022. The letter seemed important so I called, he verified my VIN # and ask for mileage. He then said he was going to try and get me the premium insurance I needed, I told him I was happy with my coverage……and he said “your car has no insurance”! Not true, I do! Scammer!

I started receiving letters & post cards from these people over 1 year ago. Now they have same info but new signature. JAMES WINTERS I'm curious how to report them to USPS for fraud. Any ideas?

I had them and was never giving the company name or the person that I was talking to. I was told that my warranty had expired and I can use an credit card today to restart my warranty that will cover my vehicle for 5 years for 455.00. I told him I don’t have the money right now. Then he ask me when do I get paid next because they can take my funds out of my account when I get paid that it would be easier on my to not forget to pay them. I said sir no way would I every give out my bank info to a scamming company who can’t provide the correct info. Please find another job to do before you scan the wrong person and you and the company would all go to JAIL.

I got multiple letters (same ones as shown in these photos) notifying that I needed to contact this number before my factory warranty expired. They forwarded me to customer service to report the VIN and mileage of my newly purchased car.

Unfortunately, I was naive and I fell for their scam. I should have known to verify with my seller how payment notifications for my warranty would be issued. I should have also been suspicious when my payment was initially declined by my credit card company. But I provided my credit card information to make a payment of $193.74 that was supposed to cover 18 months of warranty. One month later, my credit card company notified me that another charge was made-- and declined.

When I tried to call back the number, they again forwarded me to customer service. Customer service started making excuses about not being able to access my account due to connection/technical issues. It was then that I looked up the phone number and "Richard Thomas" online, only to find out this was a whole scam. Thankfully, my credit card company is handling the issue, but I've learned my lesson!

VERIFY--do NOT share vehicle details or make any payments!

Thanks for James Winters wrote me and I’m so glad I listened to the Lord’s voice and told me to look up his name and the phone number and I saw the paper that you shared that it’s a scam. I was going to take the paper to my dealership to look at it but when I heard God’s voice I throw it away . Thanks again for sharing.
