I received a call and was asked, Can you hear me? I was caught off guard, as I'd just stepped out of the shower, & instinctively said yes. Then I recalled hearing about the scam, immediately said no, & hung up.

I was told to deposit money in my account remove it and send it to peace Kadogo Herman in Calgary Alberta canada to see how MoneyGram is running in my area after a few days after I did money was withdrawn from my account which put my account at a negative balance.

They sent an email telling me to deposit their check or money order for $300-$400. Deducts wages have the rest for the evaluation. I'm not stupid enough to do this. I hope you all can stop them.

- Richmond, VA, USA

I was emailed about being a Walmart secret shopper and I would receive $300 once completed and will continue to make more as time passes . All I had to do was provide my age address and phone number and I would receive the letter that's pictured below.

Company offered me a position as a store shopper. Sent me an initial check for $1995.19. I deposited the check in my bank and then called them to discuss if this could be a scam. They asked me if they could put the check on hold until they could determine if it were legit. The next day the bank (Wells Fargo) called me and told me it was a bogus check and I send them all the information I received. They backed out the check immediately and sent it to their investigation team. I had been applying for work at home jobs when I received this. Very upsetting. After I went through all of this with the bank, I never heard back from this criminal again.

Price is not MSRP. It states it's $218 plus tax and shipping. Clearly a scam and Price Gouging. Should be investigated and warned. Item should be $34.99

Redeem Now!

_______

All of this was in a broken line box. I did fill out an offer that I thought was from Walmart for a gift card several months ago. Now, when I clicked on "Redeem Now!" a message came up: 404 File or directory not found. I thought something was wrong because 2 words were misspelled (Numder and informations). I printed it and took it to our local Walmart store and showed the manager. He said others had come in with similar letters and suggested that I contact the ScamPulse.com to get the scam known in our area.

I will click to unsubscribe on the email and delete all of them. The above address was listed at the end of the letter and location was Colorado Springs, CO 80905 US

Walmart is now requiring customers to surrender their social security numbers in order to write checks for their purchases. My bank has told me NOT to give Walmart or anybody else this information because it is NOT necessary in order to verify my identity.

was offered 1993.43 dollars in a check to be a secret shopper. and had to complete tasks.. after the check was cashed. which was to send money to a tom w through western union.... had my bank check out the check it was not legit...

To cash check in your account & purchase items from stores. Also received a check from Walmart Inc. for 1,998.57

I received a letter w a check for 1,998.57 stating that Walmart the Gap, Pizza Hut pay to shop in their establishment and report the experience. First you get to deposit this check and take the first 350.00 then you complete the 2nd and third assignment you get paid.

The caller, "Samantha Williams", claimed I won a $100 giftcard from Walmart. When I asked how/why her tone changed of one with slight frustration and said I shopped at Walmart, Home Depot and Target. I responded, honestly, in saying not often so unsure why I was picked amongst all other customers. Her reply, a bit agitated at this point, was but you HAVE gone at least once. She proceeded to ask for my full name, birth year, address and credit card number for a $3 activation fee- that's when I knew my hunch was correct. I wasn't allowed to speak with a supervisor and her final words were a bit threatening saying, "we will call you back until we have your complete information."

Got called and told I won an reward through The Gaming Federation, didn't get the last part of the quote on quote business, gentlemen didn't speak good English. He had another gentlemen with him, sounded like their home. Both of them didn't speak good English. Got rude, pretty much called me stupid, insulted me, I asked to bring in my local law enforcement, they said yes but wouldn't give me any of their credentials. They are in the same city and state as me, so it is very alarming! I've lived here for nearly 20 something years and never heard of a business or rewards center like this, so be weary! I'll include the phone number they called me from in a picture. They said they pulled my name up from shopping, like Walmart, any gas station, etc.

Last month I got a call from 786-509-6378 claiming to be Walmart. I was told that I had won a laptop but needed to send $280 for taxes and shipping. I though it would be a great gift for my kids so I agreed. I never received the laptop so I never sent the money. Now I"m getting calls from 408-650-7090 stating I still owe the money and threatening me that if I do not pay, they will have someone come to my home and put me in jail.

- Frederick, MD, USA

I had interest to be a part time secret shopper from what looked like a reputable company . The email used to contact me looked questionable. Also I researched the company via consumer affairs and looked up Walmart mystery shopper scandal before I proceeded any further . Now, however, they have my email, cell phone and home number and I'm afraid to be contacted.

A caller called from an anti-fraud department of Wal-Mart mastercard. He told me that a charge of about $500 was made to a card that doesn't actually exist. He gave me my address and asked for my date of birth. I replied asking him where he was calling from and he hung up.
