My husband received a phone call today from an unidentified male stating that a hospital has filed collections and they would like to "represent"us in this matter. Stated that their law firm would get this take care of for us asap. My husband sent me a text asking me to call him on his office number to see if we could figure this out. After I start asking questions as far as what hospital this was from he finally answered that the hospital was out of WA from 2003. This is the first time we have heard of any charges from the said hospital. I called the hospital to see what was going on and was informed that 1) they didn't have us in the system 2) statute of limitations is 6 years and 3) it was more than likely frad. I called my husband back and the guy was trying to use scare tactics stating that we would be served with papers in the next 2 weeks and that it would cost us more to fly back and forth to WA to take care of this matter.
