Caller advises they dropped their headphones and asks "can you hear me now?". When you say yes they go on to say we've won a 3 day cruise and discusses what's included in the package

They record you saying "Yes" to their First Question: Can you hear me OK? Then when you call the number back it tells you that the survey is over. The recording of you saying yes is used to purchase items and charge them to your phone bill.

This was a "hello, can you hear me. . . oh sorry, there's a problem with my headset" call. The caller named Emily, who sounded pre-recorded, then said that I had stayed at one of their resorts in the past and that I was eligible for a vacation package. I did not respond and she kept talking. I then said "please don't call" and disconnected.

The 804 area code made me believe it was a local number that was calling me. I have been getting more and more calls from numbers/businesses that appear to be local even though they are scams/non-local.

Call is from local area code. When phone answered, female recording states "this is from the warranty department, can you hear me ok?" I read about this possible scam in a newspaper article and hung up immediately. The same number has called 3 times in less than 24 hours. No additional attempted calls from this number have been answered.

Young perky lady says: "There's something wrong with my headset. There we go. Can you hear me?"

Like an [censored], I said yes, and then remembered I read about this scam in the newspaper just last week. We'll see if any damage comes up in the future. I could kick myself for falling for this scam.

The above number called and a recorded female voice said "Hi, can you hear me ok?" I said "I can." I realized what I did and I hung up. I did not recall what the call was about.

I received a call that started out with, can you hear me, then said this is Alice from the warranty department...I hung up.

Caller says they want to talk about my warranty and asks if I can hear them. After saying "NO" they say my warranty is about to expire and asks again if I can hear them. I hung up and never said "YES".

They called me several times over the last few days from the same number. I only answered it once.

On several occasions, most recently on 2/11/17 at approx. 3:45 p.m. a female caller from a local area code has called and after answering, she says oh, can you hear me, I am having problems with my headset. I have hung up and not heard the remainder of her scam.

When my mom answered the phone, the caller introduced himself as Josh and asked her if she could hear him. She did not answer. She hung up.

Received a phone call from 804 665 9484 on Thursday, February 9 around 3:45 PM. I answered hello, voice on other end said, " Hello, this is Josh from Customer Service, can you hear me okay?". I immediately hung up without responding in any way, as I had heard reports on the local news about this crammed scam. I usually do not answer calls from phone numbers I do not recognize, but did answer this call because caller ID showed area code 804 which is area code for Richmond VA area where I actually live.
