The representative asked me for my name, birth date, and social security number.

She stated that their is fraudulent activity going on under my name and if I don't give her the information, she will call the police to have a warrant put out for my arrest.

I was offered a super deal from Direct TV cutting my monthly bill in half for two years. All I had to do was pay 4 months in advance with Amazon gift card. I fell for it hook, line & sinker.

Good morning there is a company going around portraying to be a at home business. They will send you everything as if it’s a legitimate business. I was known to be a logistic agent where I received packages and I had to check and make sure everything was in the package that was listed to be shipped. The company paid for the labels so all you had to do is check it and send it back off. I did this for about 2 weeks before I was offered a promotion to a logistic manager at this point I would have access to banking information and everything I need to make purchases for the supposed client. I got a letter and information to get a business bank account open. Once I started to inquire about the payment for my funds the supposed company started to insist I get a account open. I asked for a paper check to be mailed to me and they said it will take to long to get to you just open the account and we can put the money in it. I also asked for a employment verification letter for the time I was there and I was told they the GM was out of the country and he has to sign off on the letter. I never received anything not even a check. I started to do some research on this company and they don’t exist but now they know everything about me. Please do your research first before you try to get money fast

Phone call from 800-288-2020 stating they were att/directv. Offering to Upgrade my present plan to premium with all the movie channels, nfl ticket and a $150 Visa card. All I had to do was call their billing department at 888-401-6381. I did that and what the deal required was a $360 Amazon gift card up front to them to cover the first 4 months and after that my monthly bill would be $89 for the next 2 years!

Would you please investigate and warn the public! Thank you.

Received a call from Directv regarding an Amazon promo they were having. It was a special promo just for current Directv customers, which I am.

Promo was buy an Amazon gift card for $360 then call the Directv billing department, give them the code from the back of the gift card then my account would be prepaid for 4 months with billing after that for only $89.99 a month. Plus I would receive a $150 gift card from Amazon if I completed transaction by 6PM today.

This sounded too good to be true so I called Directv customer service. They advised me they had no such promotion.

The caller ID listed the phone number as Directv but the billing number they gave me (888-391-7563) was not a Directv billing number.

This People are calling Direct TV and att customer telling them if they pay six months in advance they will cut your bill in half for the next 2 year. What surprise me is how much info on me they had. They ask the customer that the bill has to be paid with a ebay gift card since ebay has a deal with Direct Tv. To call them back with the gift card number. Here are at least 2 number they calling from. 1-855-863-0217 and 1-888-585-0825. If you call those number they actually have Direct TV and ATT message making it look real.

I get calls several times a day from different phone numbers, saying the have an "employment" opportunity for me. No matter how many I block, they call again from a different number. I finally decided to find what company was calling me, and it turned out they said they were with Lyft and offering me a job as a driver. I told them I would report them to the ScamPulse.com and they quickly hung up on me. I don't kow what they were planning but luckily I did not give them any personal information.

Scammer called identifying themselves as direct tv offering a reduced rate and additional channels for 2 years in return for upfront payment of 4 months. Scammer provided promotional code and instructed that payment was to be made with Amazon Gift card. I had to purchase Amazon gift card and provide them with the claim code. They stated that it would take 24-48 hours to process. While i did contact Direct TV to confirm offer I did not tell them that I was requested to pay with an Amazon Gift Card which is contrary to their practice.

Direct tv offering free services.

I was on job boards like Indeed and Glassdoor when I applied for a data entry clerk for Ethicon. This is the email I received. It already seemed sketchy so I decided to see what happens with the Skype account. We messaged for an hour, he told me all my duties for the job, the rate and hours, asked for my full name and contact info and i was immediately hired. There is no office in Texas but he says they are “working on it”.

He said he would send me an email confirmation of everything and I will be getting emails and items in the mail soon for my job. That was this morning, and I still have not been sent an email.

Everything about this seems off and like a scam.

Called eldery person. Said win 1.5 mil, Mercedes, etc. Had to purchase Amazon gift card for verification. Was very persistent

The caller ID popped up saying it's a Tarpon Springs number, when I answered the phone the caller claimed to be with Direct TV. They offered me about $700 worth of rebates if I went with their services, I told them to call me back at 2pm and let me speak with my wife. Well 2pm came and went, no call back. We figured this was a scam to get your info while on the phone with you.

"Tabby" called my cell phone claiming she was from AT&T and she could offer me internet through Directv. At first, I was happy to hear this was an option. ( We just called to make a legitimate appointment with AT&T 2 days ago) She knew this info and sounded very professional until she started asking things like SS number and there would be a one time set up fee so she needed credit card number. Of course I said I didn't feel comfortable giving such info, so she gave me a supervisor number "Sean" who answered on the number 1 800 531 0795. He answered the phone "Internet service" So then I knew it was not legitimate. When I questioned him, he hung up.

"DirecTV Promotions dept" called to offer a rate of $89.99/month including taxes and fees for 2 years on an upgraded package including all the movie channels. All I had to do was pay for the first 4 months up front with an Amazon Gift Card. I told "John Murphy" that I thought it was a scam because, first of all, he's not Irish, he's Indian. To which he responded that he was from the Philippines. Secondly, paying with an Amazon gift card is super sketchy. He gave an explanation that Amazon was sponsoring the promotion to promote their "new" gift cards. I went along with it just to get all the info to investigate later. He gave me a promo code and direct phone numbers to DirecTV billing and the promotions HQ. Offer was good for a limited time (4 more days), but if I paid by 9pm today I would also get a Visa gift card for $150 mailed to me.

Got a phone call midday on a Thursday from a man that sounded like he was in India. He said that he knew I was a Directv customer and he had my info from the account, (address etc). He claimed that he was calling to offer a promotion that would lower my bill and give me more channels. When I agreed to take the offer it turned out it needed to be paid in an Ebay gift card, which he stated was the sponsor of the promotion. When I returned the call to pay the 280.00 for the 4 months ahead the call center was realistic and they had every bit of info that I would expect, they said wait 24-48 hours for the account to change. I waited and then called the number I used normally to inquire and they informed me no such deal exists. If you call 888-344-2611 it is the scam center, you would be hard pressed to imagine it was all fake. There is no difference in the greeting or reps from the real site. They have all the bases covered, I am in somewhat of a shocked sensation at the effort of criminals, they really put on a good show, must be lots involved. The fact that this goes on right under ATT/Directv noses says something about the company.
