I received a call from (646) 968-0570.

The woman spoke broken English stated that I had qualified for a grant of $9,200 which according to her I would not have to pay back. She stated that I was randomly selected because I am a law abiding citizen who pays my taxes and has never been bankrupt. I was very suspicious so I did not give any personal information. When she asked me for my name, I than asked her who she worked for and she stated that she worked for the government.

She gave me a confirmation number and told me to call 202- 656- 6270 and a man would walk me through the steps of getting me the grant via western union. In suspicion I looked up recent scans and came across the same story. i did not call the second number. pretty sure they were gonna ask me for money.

Someone called and got my mother to send over 1000 dollars in 100 dollar iTunes cards and he promised her 50,000 in federal grant money. He tricked her into giving all her banking information and I need to know who to report this to and what I need to do now. I told him I was reporting him and he said I know I did wrong please don't report me and I will leave her alone.

I got a call Tuesday, saying I won a $9000 Grant. They wanted to take me through the process, go to drug store and get a Steam card, like a pre-paid card. They put the grant money on that card. When you get to Walgreens, call them back for further instructions. Brandon Cove, x. 1027. They asked if I was single or married, and if I lived alone.

"Stan Walker" called me today and said we had won a grant from the government for not being in trouble with the law for $9,000. He then told me I needed to send them $200 registration fee via prepaid Walmart card and Western Union. He gave me a verification number of VL3H7. ScamPulse.com has advised this is a scam

I get calls every day saying I'm qualified for a $9000 grant. I keep talking to the senior officer. She says if I send $200 I will get $9000. My confirmation number is GS1298.

I run a business, and received a strange call from 303-020 telling me I had been chosen for a $9,000 grant. It sounded like it came from India, and I was provided with a confirmation number for the account manager. I knew this was a scam, and did not fall for it.

A guy called me said that his name is Tom Willams, and I was chosen and approved for a government grant in the amount of $14589.00 , I asked do I have to pay anything , he said no.

Then he asked me if there were any stores near me , I said yes , he asked me go to the nearest store because in order for me to get the grant I need to finish registering the application , and I need to get a voucher from the store , he stayed with me on the line until I got to rite aid drug store , then he told me to get three gift cards $100 each called steam, or iCloud prepaid gift cards , he said that money will be refunded instantly as soon as they deposit my grant money into my bank account, I told him I don't have that kind of money , he asked me to go to Walmart and give them a check for the amount for the cards, of air etc they didn't take my check because there are no funds , I got the money from my son and payed for the cards, he asked me to give him the numbers on the back of the cards, I did , that was his supervisor named Mark.

He put me on hold for a min then told me that while he was transferring the money to my account the gov put a hold on it because my state requires that any amount over $10000.00 I need to pay taxes on it , he said that they are going to pay the taxes which came to $4000.00 but I have to pay $500.00 for some kind of gov fee to release the money or they won't release it, I told him that I don't have that kind of money and I think they are scamming me , ofcource he denide it and put me on hold again , came back and said I can pay only $200.00 , I said no , he said I'm going loose the $300.00 I paid and he's going to close the file , and said when I have the money to call him so they can deposit the money to my account +the $300.00 I paid.

I said I want him to give me back the money I paid he said he can't because they already paid it to the gov.

That's all what happened, I feel like an [censored] for believing them, but they were very convincing ll

We got a call offering us a grant from the government. We were selected out of 20,000 people. We were to get $14,000.00. He said they would put the money in the bank, and we would send it back, and they would refund it.

On Friday, 9-29 about 5:30pm or 6pm a guy called me and asked to speak with me and his name was Ron or Ryan something like that from . Then he got to explaining to me that I got selected to get a grant from the government and don't need to pay it back. Then he said that he had to switch me over to another representative that could give me more information. That's when they told me how much it was $14,566.00 I believe. Then the lady Kim Johnson called me and went on and on and that's when she told me I had to bring $350 with me to Walmart or Walgreens to confirm the transaction, but the money never leaves my hands. I asked why did I need $350, I don't have $350, so she is giving me until Friday to get the money and she'll call me back. That's wehn I explained I don't have $350, and she said can't you borrow it, and I asked why do I have to have $350 for a grant that you are giving me. She said you don't understand, you are not listening, and I said why do I need $350. Then that's when she said I will put your application on hold until Friday to see if you come up with the money. She gave me her number to call her back on Friday, 10-6-17 202-417-6246 x0229. She gave me the address she asked me if I could come to Washington DC, address she gave is 202 Independence Ave Washington DC 20201. She said in order to get the grant, I had to bring the $350, and she said can't you borrow it. She says you are not listening the money is not going to leave your hands.

I am 83 yrs old. I've been receiving calls from the government. The guy is tough. He's very hostile and aggressive. He is very nasty. He said he's going to turn me into the IRS.

Received a total of 10 calls from these people claiming I was being awarded a Government Grant. this one said it was for $90000. I had 3 options to receive it: give my bank info, check ion mail, or cash. I said to send the cash. The said first I need to got to Walmart, Walgreens, etc. to purchase 2 money cards, $100 each, and call them with the code and I will be sent the money. Said their name was Kevin Smith. This is a scam.

I received a phone call that I had won a government grant in the amount of $9,700 and I needed to go to Walgreens and put $200 on a card and call them back.

Received call 9/22/17 @3:27pm

Scammer left message to call back and claim free grant money you are not required to pay back. Upon calling the scammer back a male answered the line saying his name was Mark from the federal grant department, again he explained I had been selected for a government grant, prior to me mentioning any personal information. I was then placed on hold to be transferred when the call dropped. I tried calling back and was hung up on by a woman.

They called and said that I qualified for a government grant in the amount of 9,200.00. Only 2 ways of getting it was to give them my checking account information or buying Wal-Mart credit cards.

I received a call saying was from the government. They said I was chosen for a grant of 9000.00 that I did not have to pay back. Thought was very suspicious so I hung up.

received a call at work from someone that did not speak good English stating I had been selected by the government for a grant to help with school. She stated I could choose where I wanted to get my money from ( Walmart, Kroger, Western Union). She gave me a confirmation number AR405 and a number to her boss of 202-854-9681. She asked that I not hang up while she got her boss on the phone. I hung up and see called back. Someone in the office picked up and told them I was not available at the time, she cursed the employee and hung up.

***Scam*** Calling people saying they are from the US federal Grants department. When he asked for me to pay $250 at a Western Union i said, so you want to scam me out or $250 and he said watch your mouth and hung up on me. I called back and told the guy that answered the phone that ya'll are a bunch of scamming Camel jockey's,,,,,he said F-you and hung up.........now i get a busy signal when i try and call back...

I was contacted by telephone and this foreign speaking lady told me that the government randomly picks 16 indivuals each year for government grants in the amount of $7900 dollars and that I had been chosen because I had no prior arrests or filed for bankruptcy and for that reason I was to receive a federal grant and how did I want it by check, cashiers check,, or by direct deposit, or by mail and she gave me a code of somekind to validate the federal grant and told me to be sure to give it to the case manager that handles the grant money and she gave me a phone number to the federal grant case manager and it was 360-203-0368 and also the number that she called from was an invalied number and it was 202-147-5555. I didn't follow thru with it because I felt that it sounded to good to be true nobody is going to give you $7900 dollars, they have continued to call and call and I just hang up and refused to answer the call. I didn't receive anything because I didn't go that far, I didn't call that number I was afraid to so I just let it go.
