Called and left message, said I was going to be arrested because I did not file taxes. This was the second call I received.

I keep receiving calls and Voicemails claiming that I owe taxes and can be arrested for failing to pay. I know that I do not owe any taxes. A ScamPulse.com employee researched the telephone number and found numerous reports similar to mine.

The message the scammer leaves states:

"This matter is very serious emergency and time sensitive we are calling you from investigation team a virus we have just received a notification regarding their tax filings from the headquarters which will get expired in next 24 working hours and won't get expired after that you will be taken under custody by the local police as there are 4 serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment we would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you the number to reach us in is 530-388-5286 I repeat 530-388-5286 thank you."

Caller claimed there was a warrant for my arrest and that I owed about $4,900 to the IRS. He explained there was a discrepancy on my taxes from 2012 or something like that. He said his name was officer Mark Taylor badge number blah, blah (he gave some number). He asked if I did this intentially. I told him of course not. He said to listen to him all the way through. I stopped him and said I think he's trying to scam me. He said "I do not have time for this [censored]!" Then he hung up.

Called saying they were with the IRS in reference to my tax return and I owed a lot of money I needed to contact them at the above phone number to take care of this debt before I was going to be arrested.

Received a voicemail from this number warning me that my personal property was being monitored for possible legal action & told me I had to call that number. I did & it was a loud call center that sounded oversea by accents. While trying to get info I was hung up on numerous times. One person said they were with the IRS and I owed them money for a loan. I have never had a Federal loan so I know that was the first sign. Then they insisted on my name & said they could not bring me up by phone #.

- Vacaville, CA, USA

These past couple of days I have been receiving several called voicemails saying that there are four serious allegations on my name at this moment and for me to contact them to discuss the case before taking any legal actions against me. I finally decided to call the number. A male with a foreign accent (like from India) answered. I asked them what the issue was and he asked for my name. I gave him a fake name and then he tells me that he is an IRS agent investigator telling me I have not paid my taxes. He even went to tell me he is Federal Marshall and provided a badge #. I told him that the IRS never notified me by mail as they do not call. I then told him to quit calling me and trying to scam me for money. The person then said "[censored] You" a couple times and then hung up. I would call back and the person who answered would ask me why I keep calling back and hung up. I still get automated messages from the same Number plus a new number started today of

615-326-5808 from Dickson, TN. with the same message.

- Pleasant Hill, OR, USA
