I always ignore calls I do not recognize the number. This was a New York number. I sent the call to voice mail. When I listened to the voice mail it was the "IRS". Warning me I had 2 hours to contact them or a warrant would go out to the the local police department for my arrest.

I received a a voicemail and call saying that the IRS started a lawsuit against me for fraudulent taxes. When I called back I was told that they IRS had conducted an audit and I owed approximately $4,786 in back paid taxes. They proceeded to say that they could stop the arrest warrant with the court house if I paid $500 dollars. I was afraid and fell for this. After providing them with the code on the back of the google play card her $500 to stop the arrest. Again, scared and not realizing this was a scam, I fell for it a second time. They asked a third time for more money. At this point I realize something wasn't right. When I realized this was a scam I called google play immediately. They knew the account that the google play cards were activated to but proceeded to say that they couldn't not help me due to privacy to that account. In this situation, I am the victim but yet google play defeats the people doing these crimes and scamming people by scaring them and threatening them. I have filed a police report and also spoke to my bank, ** ***, who said they could not help because I "willingly" gave the money away. I have voicemails and txt messages showing this is a scam and I, unfortunately, fell for this because I was scared. It is unfortunate that people like this get away with taking people's legally earned money and the victims are left with no help.

Right now you and your physical property are being monitored and it is very important that we hear back from you before we proceed in any legal manner. My direct call back number is 510-578-6903. IRS Scam

Called claiming to be with IRS, saying I owe money

The scammer initially called to say that a warrant was out for my arrest from the IRS. When I kept them on the line to ask for more information, they began to harass me. When I hung up, they called repeatedly from multiple numbers and refused to leave me alone.

frequesnt calls claiming to be from IRS stating if payment isnt made they will go to jail

I have a voicemail from someone stating they are the IRS. They said I did not pay my taxes and someone will come and arrest me if I do not pay it. They told me to settle it all by calling 7072717943. I still have the recording of the message if needed.

in 2012 for over $9000. They used a scare tactic on my wife while I was out of town. She sent an enormous number of $500, cash cards giving them the card number which is all they need. Trying to stop the flow we contacted the card company and they offered to help. The card company said that if we could somehow mail another $2300 they would be able to refund toward those transactions. You get one guess. The card company employee took the $2300. Total now $11300. Seems-each time you call you may get another office somewhere in the country. A helpful card company employee informed me that this happens all the time because you will never know which employee you get orwhat States they are in.This is the bestway that I have ever heard of in the USA to finance terrorism.no one can be caught because they cannot betracked. They used my IRS information taken from my mailbox. Since IRS has discontinued listing your SSN on your correspondence. NOW THE BAD NEWS. I got another call last week and I treated them badly. The Department of Human Services is still putting my wife’s and my SSN IN THE MAILBOX OUT AT THE CURB NOT EVEN KNOWING IF I AM AT HOME. YOU CAN BET THAT I RECEIVED NO ASSISTANCE FROM TH IRS. MY MONEY TO PAY TAVES WAS GONE AND THEN I HAD TO GOIN DEPT TO GET FUNDS TO PAYTHE TAXES. AND NOW ANOTHER GOV. AGENY IS BEING VERY LIBERAL WITH OUR Critical information. Somebody needs a new job. I have files with more detail. Copies, photos cancelled cards and bank statements

- Mitchell, IN, USA

Have been called numerous times being told I owe $8,976.

When talking with the caller, they give fake info on themselves but have all my info. They say if you dont pay that there will be warrant for your immediate arrest. They tell you that you have to go to your bank right now while on phone with them to get the cash. But you have to pay on website( not sure how to put cash through computer). Once I refused and said i think this is all a scam they started saying profanity about me and my family. Said they will come to my home- which they do have address for- and get the money from me one way or other.

I welcomed them to come over, I am a legally armed citizen, and told them you come in,I shoot.

- Columbus, OH, USA

I received a voice mail today from a woman who said if I didn't get in touch with the IRS a warrant would be issued for my arrest.

- Cheyenne, WY, USA

I received a voicemail stating the have received a notification regarding tax filing and that I will be taken under custody by the local police, on 4 allegations, if I do not call back. I did not call back.

- Lafayette, LA, USA

I just received (1:40 pm 10-9-18) an automated phone call from 404-900-0460 stating that the IRS has issued an arrest warrant for me and to call 315-544-1985. This obviously is a scam, but I wanted to let you know for others who may not realize that the IRS does not make phone calls.
