For the past two days I have gotten a call (computer generated voice) stating I owed the IRS. Yesterday the call was from KY today it is NJ. Told me to call 201-912-7037 regarding my case number. I do not know how much they wanted since I hung up and they left messages after that

Individual claiming to be with the IRS threatening me with jail time for unpaid taxes due... Caller id came up as scam when I reverse looked up the number. I was left and electronic voice mail initially and that I should call back the number 844-668-3974

This is a call that say I R S we know that the IRS don't call you. These people will try to make you Believe you own money . The person I have talk to name is Max they want you to think an arrest warrant will be put out if you don't pay . People remember that the IRS Don't make calls to you at home they will write you a letter and give you a case number and years of your taxes due. Mr Max say he is a Sheriff.

Man named Robert Campbell called

and left voicemail saying he was from the IRS. Here are his exact words copy and pasted from my visual voicemail. I live in Maryland, but the call came from Alabama.

Here is transcription...

"The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 256-283-0716. I repeat 256-283-0716. Thank you."

caller leaves at message to immediately call back at a number regarding money I owe. Calls 4-5 times a day. Looked at caller ID on Comcast and these calls do not register. Like they never called. I do not answer nor do I call the number back. Very annoying.

Received a phone message saying its was the IRS and for me to contact this number back before it was sent to my local court house and so I called and he said he was detective Frank and wanted my full name and social so he could pull my file to see why I received the call

Will call and state that you owe money to the IRS threatens to take all your income and put you in jail.When you callback they will hang up on you. They are unable to tell you anything about what you owe or why and when you tell them that you will contact a lawyer to assist you with the matter they advise that they have lawyers available to you and they will handle the case.

I was contact by phone and told the IRS was calling. The representative stated I was being sued and demanded payment to avoid further action. They said the suite was over a student loan but I am 80 years old and hung up when it sounded like a scam.

I received a phone call from a gentlemen claiming to be with the IRS (with a foreign accent) and that if I did not pay my back taxes I will have a warrant for my arrest. I told him that the IRS does not call and that I did not owe any taxes I received a refund last year. He stated that they made a mistake and hung up.
