The recording claimed to be from the IRS and said an warrant for my arrest had been issued for failure to pay taxes. I had 24 hours to resolve the matter of $5000.00. I knew it was a scam so I hung up the phone.

Scam Tracker taken over the phone by ScamPulse.com Staff: The consumer stated that she received a call multiple times from 518-557-5960. When she answered it was an automated message stating that it was the IRS calling over a time sensitive matter. They stated that she needed to contact them immediately or they would be forced to send officers to take her into custody. When she called the number back the person who answered the phone disconnected the call.

On 03/17/18, I received an automated call from phone number 347-966-3947. It was a woman's voice stating that this is my final notice. If I don't respond, the IRS will be filing a lawsuit against me. It stated that I must call 347-966-3947 immediately to avoid the IRS taking action against me.

Recording stated that a warrant has been issued for filing a tax return that was for too much of a tax refund. I filed a tax return and in fact had to pay the IRS an additional $187. I know full well about the scam and did not return the call. I am sure they would have asked for me to send them the overage.

Received numerous calls from this number as well as 0000000000 number with exact same automated threat and harassment about warrants and arrest for failure to pay debts, none of which I have. I have ever answered nor called back but it is annoying and now getting to where I feel threatened.

They called my cell phone and it was a. Recording. They stated I and my family were in serious trouble with the IRS and I needed to respond to this message as soon as possible.

Received a call stating he was from the IRS and that he had been trying to reach me for days. He said that my name was being turned into the IRS for Tax Fraud. He left a number that he could be reach back at. When I called the number, I asked who it was and he identified himself as the IRS. I asked him for what state and he said "your state". I said it sounded like a scam and he just kinda laughed. I hung up the telephone at that time.

Caller ID said “ Washington DC” they left a message for me to call immediately regarding my taxes.

I called back a total of 11 times. The 3rd time a man with a heavy accent hung up on me when I asked “why do you keep calling me”

The 7th call I made a man with a British ancient answered and I also began questioning and he hung up on me.

The 11th time calling back I took a kinder approach, I wanted to see what was going on and not get the call dropped again. The lady spoke eloquently (at first)....

She began with her name Henry (?) and a badge ID #, then gave me a case # and aid I was being investigated for tax fraud.

And this was a recorded call, and after this call a warrant would be issued for my arrest for fraudulent taxes. And on and on and on....

She later said if I wanted to clear this up, it would cost $8,120 and asked if I had those means. She later followed up with “if I didn’t want to take care of this right now then I would have to come to Washington DC and fight the IRS”

This call took over 40 minutes!

So annoying!

Called claiming to be from irs said I owed a large amount of money and all my accounts would be frozen. I never received any certified letter from the irs informing me of any tax issues. Just this random phone call from New York New York

Claims to be from the IRS Investigation department. When I told them I was pretty sure the IRS would send me a notice by mail the lady on the other end started cursing and telling me [censored] stupid, [censored] and alot of other stuff. Was not even using sentences to say these things.

They called claiming to be the IRS saying the IRS was filing a law suit against me, that I had a warrant for my arrest and that my license and everything had been suspended, they used the names as David Watson and the other mans name was Mark Rosa they had to of been from overseas I could hardly understand them anyway. They told me I owed 7000 and that I had been audited and so forth. They said I had to go to the bank, get the money alone, also told me I had to go to a location alone, that is when it became really scary, I hung up and called my dad home immediately, of course he knew it was a scam, we called our warrant admissions I dont have a warrant, so please if anyone says they are from the IRS hang up because it is a scam the IRS DOES NOT call you ever.
