I got a call from a man with an Indian accent pretending to be from the IRS. He had my names and address, and wanted the last four digits of my social security. He said I owed back taxes and if I didn't do something by the end of today, he would have the police come to my house with a warrant for my arrest. I told him I don't owe back taxes and he asked if I was sure. I asked for his name he said Ryan Clerk. I asked if he was trying to intimidate me and he hung up. After which I got 10 messages saying I would be arrested. 5856334206

I have received 2 separate calls from different states telling me that it is urgent they talk to me regarding my outstanding debt to the IRS. Urgent they speak with me as soon as possible to settle before a warrant is placed against me. Only gave a number to call, no specifics on amount owed or using my name. Recorded call.

First call was from Mount Lake Terrace, WA - 425-616-3592 about 1-2 weeks ago

Second call was from New York, NY - 646-355-3450, received today 3/13 at 10:49 a.m. EST

My husband and I keep getting phone calls from people saying they are from the IRS. We have gotten numerous calls, especially over the past few weeks. The most recent call we got, the automated message said that we were on our final notice. We know none of this is true, since the IRS will send letter via postal mail.

Caller left pre-recorded message that I would be under arrest if I didn't call back the IRS. I called to ask them questions and they hung up.

The message left stated "This is the IRS, ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid call. for further information regarding this IRS debt please contact federal agent #8434015306". I looked this number up online and saw others received the same call. I called the number back on another phone and when they answered "internal revenue service, IRS" I told them I was returning a call however I looked up the number online and it stated this number was a scam.  The person who answered the phone paused a few seconds than said "bye bye" and hung up.

A male called and started to leave a threatening message about my income tax return and we owed money to the IRS that was back due. I picked up and informed him that our phone number was tapped and if they called back again that I would press charges for herasment. The IRS does not call to make threat's, you get mail.

Scam Tracker entered by ScamPulse.com Staff: Consumer called in stating that she received a call from someone claiming that they are calling on behalf of the IRS. She stated that they called her in regards to tax evasion and claimed that she owed money. She also stated that they threatened to send someone to take her into custody of she did not resolve it over the phone. They left a voicemail of a recording stating that it was her final warning. Consumer claims that the called out to the IRS and they confirm that they do not utilize third party companies to reach out to consumers.

An automated message was left on my home phone indicating I owe the IRS money and I need to call 1-509-289-2951 to stop a lawsuit against me. I did not return the call or send any money.

They contacted me and left a message for me to call them, so I did and they asked for a File or case number. I told them I didn't have one. They said there was a law suit against me and they asked if I had been filing my taxes every year I told them I was on SSI I don't file taxes, and they said they would make the note on my file and told me to have a nice and hung up.

Caller threatened me with arrest if I didn't pay past-due taxes asap. I didn't call the number back for instructions. I called the local police and was told by them to contact the BBB.

Received robo-call 10.15am 9 Mar 18 saying I am being sued by the IRS and to call back immediately. I contacted my accountant and did not return the call.

It was a robo-call that threatened a law suit against us from the IRS. It did not name us(I am at work). I know that the IRS contacts you via certified mail if they have an issue with any of your taxes. The call also said that we must return a call to their number - 253-473-4792. I did not and will not call this number.
