pass-travel-usa.com is set up as a website to renew passports. They asked for personal information (name, address, ssn, parent and spouse information). Credit card info was not submitted thankfully. The cost of the passport renewal was less than normal price which tipped me off ($60 or book and passport card instead of $160)

I went to renew my husbands passport, this looks like an official government website, it was at the top of the page. I had heard that they were doing an online renewal process so I thought this was it. I filled everything out and thought I was paying for the renewal fee, turns out they scam you to pay for them to fill out government forms that are 100% free.

This website is first on the google search to renew US Passport. I was charged $60 for what I thought was online application to renew my sons passport and pay the fee to expedite the process. I gave out my son's social security number. I was told would receive an email with application and receipt. Did not receive. Went to US post office and was told you cannot renew online for passport. This is complete scam. On the website you are only allowed to call the company once you are a customer.

Google first link took me to this site. Site is fakes the look of the US Government site. Site asks for information required for a Passport and then charges a processing fee - which is not applied to passport application fee.

Looks like a government site, charges to fill out passport renewal form

A family member found a professional looking website with links near government sites to renew my passport. They were fillable, official looking forms that seemed reputable, I filled the out, paid the $69 fee and, unfortunately, my family member paid for this 'service' but never received anything.

- Cincinnati, OH, USA

The company presented as connected to the US government handling passport renewals. I searched for passport renewal through google and did not do my due diligence before selecting this site I also unfortunately provided my SS # as well as a payment for the fraudulent services.

This scammer pretends to be a contact for passport renewal.

This website looks like a government site to renew your passport. However it only asks for information and auto populated a form for $62. I am considered that now my identity is compromised as it asked for my social security number.

I tried to renew a passport for my daughter online. I put in her full name, date of birth, social security number, passport number, and address. My credit card company flagged it as fraud when I tried to pay and denied the charge. I am worried that they now have all her information - she is 9 years old!

The website pretended to be the government website for passport applications, including an option to pay for the passport *with insurance in case it is lost or stolen. I input all of my kids's personal information, I paid for the passports online, and took the applications to the post office to send and then realized my error when I had to mail a check with the passport applications.

I searched for the website to renew my passport online using Google search. The website pose as a official government website or third party application service. I entered in information for my child and used my credit card to pay for the service. The payment didn't go through because my bank recognized as a fraud site. I am afraid that the information can be use to steal my identity or my child's identity. The website needs to be banned immediately.

I did a google check to renew my passport and this was the first page that appeared. I already contacted my credit card agency, but I did put sensitive information like my SSN

This website is incredibly deceiving. You enter the website thinking it is the official passport website because it appears at the top of the google search. When you enter the site, the first thing you see are the forms for renewal, first time and lost or stolen passport. You choose the forms that are right for you and fill everything out and then you get to the point where you have to pay and you assume you are paying for the passport book or card but then once you pay for that, they send you the forms to download and print and when you get those forms you realize you still have to send $130 dollars for the actual passport book which you thought you had paid. So basically, they charge you $90 for something you're supposed to do for free. What's also incredibly scary is that you provide sensitive information when you fill out the forms (social security number) so I'm terrified that I am going to have my identity stolen. This website should not even exist. Everyone is getting scammed and because their little fine print says they are a third party organization, it's ok but this business should not exist!!

- Erie, CO, USA

Filled out forms to apply for a new passport and hadn’t heard anything about application being accepted and looked into the website legitimacy and am unsure if it is a middle man for passport forms or a scam. Gave personal information and credit card information

I googled renew passport online. I completed the forms including all of my personal information. I did not realize this was not the government website. I paid the fee that I thought was the fee for the passport. I did not realize until after that the fee was not associated with the passport but charged for the form filler which is no cost on the actual government website.

I did a Goggle search for passport renewal online. The page had a green score from Norton. There were three option buttons. I clicked the button for renewing a passport, Form DS-82. I completed the information required. At the payment page, I foolishly paid for the passport book (fortunately without the additional cost for insurance). It wasn't until I received the passport packet via email, that I realized I was still required to pay the US Department of State separately. I was duped by the website's deception and am now concerned about identity theft. After I lodged a complaint with the FTC, I was offered a refund; however, while I wait for the refund, it does not remove the concerned I have about my personal information.
