Received an impersonator email claiming to be from paypal that came from email address: "n?o?-rep?ly@s?e?rv?ic?e.p?a?y?pl.?c?om" stating that my credit card was declined. I never purchased anything recently, or using paypal for that matter. The email was a credit card/phishing scam.

Received another "invoice" that listed PAYPAL. I have no PAYPAL account.

Your Shipment #6164750808-ISMDNCISD (IdeaPad Duet 5i detachable laptop) is on the way. A review of your order is required.

Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5i detachable laptop boasts a high-resolution, 12-inch display - $750.00

This is the 3rd one I have gotten. I managed to save all 3 to a PDF file and blocked out my information. Maybe it might be helpful. I have been tempted to call the phone numbers but I am not in the mood to deal with crooks.

Received an email, stating that it was from PayPal. The email stated that an order for an iPhone 13 Pro had been place the day I received the email. The email contains an Invoice ID number, a purchase date, a delivery date, the type of phone that was purchased and a phone number at the bottom to contact the accounts department to express your issue, either to exchange the item or cancel the purchase.

The email appears legit at a quick glance. But on further inspection, the e-mail that it seems to come from isn't a PayPal email, but looks more like a personal email. My name or physical address is also never addressed in the email, instead it simply says "Hello PayPal Client." Some words are capitalized, and others aren't. I didn't call the number, as it's more than likely a way to collect your personal information.

Provide receipt for something I did not purchase. Something similar happen to me before. Once you contact the to betray assisting to obtain refund. They show during the process they they have provided an overpayment to your account. They also have control of your computer once access is granted. You can physically see the funds are in your account. They also indicate that they could not reverse the transaction and that you would have to obtain gift cards for the difference. Email: [email protected]

This email keeps popping up into my mailbox for the last few weeks trying to get my personal ID. Please see first attachment. When I clicked the blue button "Log-in to PayPal", it took me to a very suspicious foreign language website:

I received an email from company claiming to be PayPal telling me that my order had been approved in the amount of $504.83 and that my parcel details would come soon. I do not have a PayPal account and when I called the number listed they asked for information on things that sounded suspicious so I ended the call! I immediately called my financial institution and they verified my account had not been hacked and gave me the correct number for PayPal and they verified that it was fraudulent and not sent by them.

I received an email stating a $790 payment was made from PayPal and would be taken out of my acct in 3-4 days. With an auth number and name and phone number to call. So I decide to call this number and it says thank you for calling PayPal a rep gets on the and he's asks for the last 4 of the auth code which I did give it to him he's says oh yeah I can see so what we have to do is get your IP address and download these two apps to stop this transaction. The apps he had me download were anydesk and Revolut I proceed to do what he says and the next thing I know I've entered in bank stuff and social security number and it isn't until the very end of our conversation that he's like ok we are going to deposit $500 for helping us catch these hackers and that’s when it finally hit me I was being hacked. He's trying to reassure me everything is fine I'm like oh no...he hangs up on me I call back several times and they just keep hanging up on me. Immediately withdraw all Chas on any accounts I had and closed all credit and debit cards. I did a factory reset on my phone and updated all apps and accounts with new passwords. I have also contacted the credit bureaus to flag my credit reports.

[[BBB TRANSCRIPTION VIA TELEPHONE CALL FROM 2/14/2022]]

Consumer received an email from the company on 2/1/2022. Claiming someone tried to use her Paypal account to purchase a gun for $449.00. Asked consumer to add information via c-prompt. Consumer thought that made some sense. Consumer filled in $49.00 to the "business". Business said she entered $4,449.00. He said he was going to give her money back, but never did. Consumer lost $5,000.00. She did the payment through Zelle. Money is gone. Consumer reported it to her bank and wanted to report it to the BBB.

I received an unsolicited email from "PayPal" Help & Support Desk, which contained an invoice from a recent MacBook Pro M1 Max. I checked my account to verify no purchase had been made, then Googled the phone number provided and saw many scam warnings. Other red flags included: an email address that was used came from a Gmail account instead of a PayPal domain; misuse of capitalized words; odd grammar; PayPal was hyphenated and logo was pixelated; and of course, I did not purchase a MacBook Pro!

I received an email from PayPal to confirm a purchase of $500 to ebay that I have not made. I don't have a paypal account either. They listed a phone number as well to call for assistance that I have not called. I looked up an item the other day on ebay and am assuming they got my information from that.

They purposely send your order to the wrong address so you can call and request a refund. They then take over your phone using an app and start cash apping themselves and requesting payment from ppl.
