* As soon as I said "NO" in response to the 3rd question, the call was disconnected.
My mom recently had told about the "YES" scam after reading about it on FB, and they attempted to scam me today! I know better than to ever give any kind of personal/credit card information to anyone - no matter what!!!

They call me about 7 times a day from all kinds of numbers. My daughter in Law, son and myself have told them we haven't got that computer anymore. Stop calling or we are going to report you. They don't care. I asked them to please refund my money. They said they needed access to my bank cause the don't use checks or money orders.

They then asked two more common questions but then immediately hung up with a "thank you" the moment I said the word yes. Those questions were: Is your address xxxx? Is your phone number xxxxxxxxx?
As a museum with a publicly available phone number we are often targeted by various scam emails and I have done some research into the various scam types circulating. This phone call seems likely to be something similar to the scam detailed in this article. http://www.omaha.com/money/this-phone-scam-just-needs-you-to-say-yes-hang/articl...⇄ />
Noticing the similarities immediately, I regret even responding to them at all.
