- Livermore, CA, USA

I received an invoice for services I use regarding my website. They referenced my website specifically.

Web Host Agents send out statements with a due date as if you owe them money when they are actually trying to solicit business. An unsuspecting employee in accounts payable might pay this because it looks like a bill with an actual due date.

- Oxnard, CA, USA

Business has received via mail, what looks to be an invoice with due amount. It describes a renewal to a company we had no connection to. If a payment is to be submitted erroneously, you are accepting a contract you did not seek.

This company sends invoices for services they do not offer and have not provided.

Got invoice from this company addressed to my business requesting payment of $180.00 for web site hosting. This is a scam. Never ordered or used this tkype of service

- Danville, CA, USA

Fake invoice for web hosting services. $180.00

- San Rafael, CA, USA

Received what looks like a bill for web hosting. If you read the fine print, they do state that it is not a bill, but it sure looks like one. Needless to say, we had never heard of this company and do not use them for web hosting.

Web Host Agents Send out FAKE invoices saying a business owes they $180.00 to keep your business web sight up. We have now been receiving these invoices once a year around January. Our web sight is hosted through a different company, I called them and asked them about it and they said DO NOT PAY its a scam invoice. The entire company is fake, if you call the number it will not connect you to a person only an automated system. I looked up this company and there are tons of reviews on Yelp about saying its a scam however the yelp reviews says on the invoice it says in small letter this is not an invoice only solicitation, well on the invoice i received it does not say that... it actually says THIS IS AN INVOICE DUE 1/15/20.

This company is posing to be the host provider for your domain name, it will ask you to renew your hosting plan at $180. Don't pay the bill, your real hosting is the one you've already paid for your hosting contract.

- Darien, CT, USA

Fake invoice sent to business requesting payment for web services that do not exist.

- Chicago, IL, USA

They sent a very convincing invoice for annual web hosting which at first glance looks like it comes from your web hosting company. It request payment. In the middle of the message it states that it is a solicitation. You could easily miss it. This is terrible advertising and I cannot believe that the activity isn't fraudulent.

They sent us an invoice for $180.00 for web hosting for my wife's business (www.acreation.org).. Not valid.

The phone number for them that we gave is for "billing inquiries".

- Broomfield, CO, USA

Received an unsolicited "flyer" from this company via postal mail that is very clearly made to look like an invoice. This confused me as I don't have anyone hosting my website. I contacted them at the provided phone number and selected billing inquiries when a recording came on explaining the "flyer" was not an invoice, but a solicitation for services. Cannot speak to anyone and forced to leave a message which is standard procedure for scammers. This organization is utilizing deception and anonymity which may be legal, but highly immoral.

- Milwaukee, WI, USA

I've attached a copy of the invoice blacking out our name

- Chicago, IL, USA

The bill we received in the mail makes it look like Web Host Agents is our website provider, and that we must pay the "Amount Due" to keep your website hosted. It's more than deceptive and borders on the fraudulent. Duping people into switching their website hosting to them. I shudder to think what happens once you've sent a payment.

- The Colony, TX, USA

I received an invoice in the mail from Web Host Agents asking me to pay $180.00. After further review, I realized this fake invoice was an attempt to get me to pay this unknown company to transfer my current web hosting to this company. I did not pay this money, nor do I know who this company is, or how they got the name of my business and my website.

Either way, it's clear this a bold attempt to scam people out of funds, and transfer their web hosting to this company, without being asked to do so.

- Ladera Ranch, CA, USA

Please see attached "invoice" attempting to collect $180 from my business. It clearly says "Amount due" $180 at the top with a fake account number. All too legit to mislead a business in making the payment. Just because the letter later says "This is not a solicication..." does not make it so when you have demanded $180 at the top.

We have no relationship with this business and after seeing this scam, do not ever intend to have a relationship with this company. Incidentally, the prices for what they claim they offer are about 10 times more than companies like google, godaddy, digital ocean etc offer. So, go figure!

I am not a customer of this company. They have sent me an

invoice for services I have not inquired about. I have never

contacted them. I don't see how what they are doing can be

legal ...they are attempting to trick me into making me think this is a renewal notice. INVOICE actually suggests I go to their website and 'sign up for paperless billing"!! I am not sending a copy of the invoice as I am in a hotel and not able to do so.

- Eleva, WI, USA

We received this "invoice" in the mail today for $150.00 for Yearly Web Hosting. We have never done business with this company. Our website is done by a local company.

Invalid invoice for website hosting - states it is a solicitation for the order of goods or services; yet appears as an invoice for money due.
