Received a automated call originally stating that if I did not call back that I would owe $125.00 for a purchase, but had bad cell signal and missed what said purchase was meant to be. Let it be and about a week later the automated caller said now I supposedly owed $375.00 for my Windows Defender Advanced Security. I called back after hearing this and was told that my card had already been charged and if I wished for my banking institution to refund it I would need to cancel the service which could only be done by speaking with their financial/tech department. I told them sure I'd like to cancel wondering what the endgame was, that's when I was told I needed to be in front of my computer to cancel. They said they would call back due to the fact I was not home. When I called the second time, wanting it over as soon as possible I was told that I needed to open chrome and they started asking me to type a website into chrome. I told them no that I thought it was a scam and got off the phone. I was called back by the first guy about 15 minutes later from a different number 1(213)766-5348 and was asked about finishing up where we left off, I told him I was currently reporting him to the bbb.org and he pleaded with me not to and went as far as somehow giving me my computer id number. I let him go on after that and went as far as going to the website, more to see see how they planned on getting into the computer especially since he had changed my price again, this time to $399.00 so scam was plastered all over it. They take you to a site called zoho.com which is listed with the bbb.org as a scam itself, it can allow backdoor access into your computer. I was connected to a manager when I refused to logon and asked why I couldn't cancel like any normal company including windows itself. The "manager" said that I owed around $200.00 and so I asked for an exact price that was charged and he said $299.00. The call ended there with a few quippy comments. These guys are ridiculous.

Caller Sam said windows was clearing intruders off my web site. He wanted me to turn on my computer so he could get into my computer. I asked for a letter for ID and he said it wouldn't go through because of intruders.

He calls claiming to be from Windows Support and requests that you go to your computer to let him talk you into providing information to him about your computer and/or requesting funds to fix or update your Windows computer.

Got a voicemail saying the info on my computer may be compromised. The automated recording said they were Windows Tech Support. I called back and a person with an Indian accent said I need to turn on my computer so he can show me the messages that they are receiving that seem like my computer is being hijacked. He needed me to use a keyboard and when I said I don't have a regular computer he hung up on me. I called back and got the same person who hung up on me again. These are regular scams from Indian people claiming to be the IRS, or a credit card company, or "the Grand Majistrate".... I never give them my info and they always hand up on me. The woman who once claimed to be from the IRS tried to tell me that she didn't need to give me her I.D # because it's the IRS. Which I happen to know is completely false. People suck.

I'm 90 years old. I've gotten 10 robo calls this morning before noon on my landline from 855-660-2727. The message indicates I paid $499 in September 2017, and now they are going out of business, so they want to give me a refund. I never paid these people any money. I don't return their calls.

All I know is that they called the house and were really helpful with the computer at first and then they offered a virus protection package for a year and it was a great deal so we bought it. The next year they called and said that the virus and windows certificate were expiring and that they could cover both for two years for a fee. They said that the windows certificate would never have to be re-bought again and the price was reasonable so we purchased again. This year they called back and as usual started scanning for problems with the computer. Then they said that the windows certificate was expiring and that we needed to purchase a life time one. When we told the operator that we had done that last year he explained that we were wrong. We asked for a supervisor and while we tried to explain to them, the original person made a new administration account on our computer. When we told them we no longer wanted to use their service they erased the original account and left theirs. Now we can no longer get into the computer. All this happened on the 27th of February 2018. Today is March 5 2018, We received a call today from the same company and told them to quit calling and the man on the other end of the phone said, "fine I will not call but I will give your number to other companies and tell them to call you every hour of everyday," This is horrible and we don't know how to stop it. My only advice is don't talk to anyone on the phone about your computer. Take it to a shop with a good reputation in person.

Despite blocking this phone number, this message comes through Hangouts, Relentlessly! This is the voice message:

"Software that we have installed your windows operating systems last year on your computer.. We received some security breach on your network.. We will request you to give us a call on our direct line toll free number 844-298-6921.. I repeat.. Please call on 844-298-6921 now.. Thank you.."

My husband didn't heed the cold call claiming to be from Windows tech support. My college daughter, however, lost $800 and her laptop has irreparable damage after granting access in order to "fix" the security breech. She was scammed because she was told she'd lose all her computer data and especially everything on Facebook. She paid them by purchasing $800 worth of iTunes gift cards, then sending a photo of the iTunes code scratched off the back.

It has been a week and they are STILL contacting me many times a day.

Please help protect any other people.

Thank you.

Pretend my Windows software license has expired and asked to renew over the phone. I don't own any Windows operating system!

People keep calling my cell phone stating there is a problem with my computer. They say they want to access your computer to "fix" it, and then they steal all the info out of the computer. The calls have come from California, Washington, New York and "blocked calls". The calls come to my phone daily, even though I am on the national do not call list.

For three weeks, every afternoon, a man would call and say he was from a computer company, or one day he said Windows Tech support, and say that my computer was sending out viruses. Years ago I actually went to my computer when someone called and said that and they were trying to make me reveal my passwords. I hung up when they said that. I feel that they are actually working at the tech support sites overseas for companies I have called, specifically Microsoft and Hewlett Packard. When I actually called Microsoft for tech support I was helped by someone in the Phillipines. Then I started getting calls from someone who sounded similar with a Phillipino accent. After I called Hewlett Packard for tech support in India, I started getting calls from people with Indian sounding voices. Lately they just sound Middle Eastern with Arab accents. I am studying Arabic for defense and used some Arabic words which they understood.

One phone number was a New York number and I called it. There was a message playing that the number was a fax machine at City University of NY and that they had cancelled service on that line but it was still being used b scammers. Another number was from Washington DC.

I tried to block both numbers on my phone but could not because they were calling from another number and the US numbers were just being used to appear on the phones so I could not block them since I did not know where they were actually calling from. One is 212-650-7149. Another is 210-807-4080

I "googled" contact phone numbers for HP Laptop tech support. I called 1 800 814 0378 and spoke to Mark Thompson id # 242178. I allowed him remote access to my computer and he immediately showed me the many errors and warnings that were possibly the culprit to my sound problem. He said my IP Address was corrupted and I needed further assistance. I became suspicious and ended the call at that point, I spoke to these same people about 2 months ago regarding an HP printer and after going through the same situation mentioned above I was told it would cost me over $249.00 or subscribe for a different amount. Both problems I ended up resolving on my own. I did call back and spoke to Mark again and managed to get an address of 255 Frank Caverven(sp) Street, Heittstown(sp) NJ.

My computer froze. I was told to call an 877 number to fix my computer from windows tech support. I could not unfreeze my computer screen. Called and they tried to control my computer. I ended up hanging up on them when I realized they were trying to take control of it. I installed a registry cleaner and I do have a virus detection program that did not pick up the virus. Had they taken control of my computer, I understand they make you pay money to release the program so you can use your computer, I have received many calls from these [censored] but, never had them freeze my computer!

Multiple phones calls in over week from 202.655.9865 (not active number when called); did not answer calls, no messages left. Husband answered call yesterday, heavy Hindu ascent caller informed him the Windows Tech Dept needed access to our computer due to email problem. Husband informed caller never to call his phone again. Calls continued today; I answered last call. I repeatedly asked caller what company he was calling from and all he would say was Windows Tech Dept. The caller spoke very fast and incoherent I asked to speak to an individual in the US and who speaks clear English. Second person named "Patrick" and with just as strong of an ascent joined call. I again repeatedly asked "Patrick" what company he representing which made him very agitated. I asked for a follow-up phone number to confirm validity of call, he rattled off numbers so quickly I had to asked 3 times for him to repeat slowly (626.529.8813; number has been disconnected). I then informed "Patrick" I would contacted our local ScamPulse.com to make sure they were truly legit at which time he immediately shouted "Hang up". I heard a disconnect sound but realized the call was still active. I confirmed Patrick was still on the line and informed him 3 times to remove our phone number from their call list. He continued to speak and I immediately hung up. I'm anxiously awaiting a return call. :)

Windows Tech Support said my computor was infected and slowing down their server.

Claimed to be Windows Tech Support, calling from 574-905-5110. I hung up.

Phone call from "Windows Tech Support" claiming my computer was infected. Asked to log on and then follow instructions (at which point I terminated the call).

I never ever fall for this stuff and today I made a huge mistake. I actually believed the windows tech guy was calling and eventually gave them remote access! How stupid of me! I knew better! My insides told me it was wrong and I stupidly did it anyway!!!! Luckily I wised up and did not give them access to bank info and hung up. Before I hung up they blackmailed me and say they would shut me down off windows if I didn't pay up and gave me a blank screen. How scary to see they had complete control of my computer! I shut the computer off and unplugged it. I am sure the damage has been done to my computer already unfortunately. I am just sick about this!! I am never his gullible! I am so upset!
