I have talk to them they don't want to tell me anything they say I owe 2,235.00 to a HSBC prime that I never heard of and I don't know nothing about this account they say they have all my info I tried to get their info but they hang up on me I have their phone number is 1-205-627-7004 this need to stop harassing me about a debt of 2,235.00 that I don't know nothing about

I received a voicemail that was seemingly missing the beginning of the message. I called the number to see who and what it was to be given the options of either paying by phone or using the website to chat. I went to the website where it said I owe $609 to a local bank. I chatted with an agent who initially refused to tell me the name of the original creditor but finally gave me the name and said she couldn’t provide any information but if I believed it was fraud I would need to prove it. I informed I’ve never had a bank loan with the supposed bank (creditor) to which she told me the account was a few years old. Once I told her I haven’t even lived in the state long enough to have an account that was a few years old and it felt like a scam she stopped responding.

This Tammy is such a nasty person when she talks and will not even tell me who I am supposed to owe a debt too. They leave messages like others have mentioned on here. This threat of a tax form C is a complete joke. I called the IRS (since my mother has been doing taxes since 1969) and was told they have no such information and that a 1099 C is a form used when a debt is forgiven, or the debt has been canceled and it is for more than $600.00. So, if a 1099 C even was filed it would mean the debt has been canceled or forgiven. Do not fall for this scam and please report them for harassment and threats.

I know right! These MFs keep calling me ..When I asked who they were and what accounts they wanted me to pay off she got really upset and started yelling at me ...I laughed at her and she hung up ...[censored] ..

Always post the number or numbers these scammers called you from. This allows for calling these scammers out and revenge.

I just received a call from a Tammy at ASGrecovers.com stating that "this isn't the first time they have called and uh certainly won't be the last until we can get something figured out here. The extra 10% savings applied to your account online is temporary, so I urge you to lock in this settlement now to apply these savings. A 1099C tax form has been issued on this account. We do also report to the credit bureaus on all applicable accounts so again I urge you to take this seriously and take advantage of this offer. I am legally required to inform you that this is an attempt to collect a debt."

Keep getting calls concerning an on-line payday loan with Fox Enterprises. Never heard of FE. Never filled an on-line application. Contacted my local Sheriff's Office (Laclede County, Missouri) and filed a fraud claim. Went to ASG's website and sent the info. This outfit is still calling. They leave a number to call, and all you get is an automated teller asking how you are going to pay. I'm NOT!

I got a call today and it was from someone by the name of Kelly. The call came in from Chino, CA and the number was (840)200-5310. She said I have an account active with their office and there has been an address change that needs to be reported or they will put a stop on my account and that something would be coming in the mail once I paid all of my debts.

She's been calling me too. In her voicemail message to me, she says; "Hi, this is Kelly with ASG your account is currently active with our office and it appears there's been an address change essentially stopping the clock here. So I did want to reach out as a courtesy to see if you would like to handle this before further action is required. Please go to our website where you can view your payment options to handle this and you will receive your payment in full letter as soon as your payment clears. If you need assistance of any kind chat agents are available to help you. Our website address is asgrecoveries.com. I am legally required to inform you this communication is from a debt collector thank you."

Let me say this; I found this website while I was looking for "asgrecoveries.com". I have, like everyone else here on this forum want the person/persons stopped. I am now looking for anything I can find on them. I am going to contact FTC, BBB, the web to find out who exactly owns this company and put a stop to them. I want them caught. It's illegal and immoral what they do and they know it. They know how to cover their tracks, but to only a certain extent. I worked for a healthcare consulting firm. I've worked collections within this firm and there are strict rules & regulations that have to be followed by the federal government and by each state. The last time I checked, they cannot call an employer. They may change their name, address, website, etc. but they still leave a trail(s) which I hope will lead to some jail time. I am curious about a comment I read from a person regarding ASG accessing her credit report, ASG used an account from that credit report as to who they were collecting for. The account was resolved between the time they got the information and actually called about it That shows the level that these people are working on!
I will post updates here. It may take awhile but I am old,tired and have nothing better right now to keep me occupied. I think it will be a little fun...LOL!

First I want to thank everyone for reporting, when I saw all the reports of a scam from this company I took other actions. I received the same call by this Tammy person who left a threatening voice mail! I went onto their site and realize I never had an account by who they claimed I owed $107 to! I reported this to BBB and other people have also reported them! I made sure to save all info in case I need to file charges against them! Then they sent me a text and demanded they stop or I will file charges in court! To contact my lawyer! I have also blocked their numbers! Now I just need to contact the IRS to see if they actually reported this 1099 BS to them, nothing is showing up on my credit right now by them! Someone said they have a you tube channel so I will be checking that to see what comes up! Do some research on this company BEFORE you do anything else! A new scam is working it's way around and also save everything from them in case you also need to file charges! I was able to save the voice mail by a screen recording on my phone! You can also take a screen picture of text or info from their web site on your phone.

Copy of voicemail- I currently have no debts.

ASG Recovery threatened me on a nonexistent debt. They offered a 10% discount for prompt payment. No debt amount or debtor was described. They claimed a 1099 has been issued. They left a phone message that I have turned over to authorities.

I have recently checked my credit reports and have no debt that is owed. All my accounts are in good standing. I hope people don't really fall for this. They don't even mention who they are calling for, use threatening words, and use fear tactics. Do not fall for this! The number they called me from is 262-254-9525

Since we first reported on this scam:

1. They've removed the "message from our CEO" section of their website that contained a screenshot of a woman from a random YouTube video.

2. They've changed their name from "ASG RECOVERS" to "ASG RECOVERIES LLC."

3. They wrote a blog post defending themselves.

ASG RECOVERS/RECOVERIES is a phishing scam. Do not give them any of your personal information. Legitimate companies don't write blog posts to defend themselves. They're also referencing THIS website so they are definitely reading it and trying to adjust accordingly.

Total [censored] company. Harassing them into submission is one way to fight back. Put them on a computer based auto dialer and enter the phone numbers of various FBI field offices.

I got a VM of ASG calling me & saying the EXACT same message other people are getting.. word for word. That’s suspicious right there, and secondly I don’t have any reports with ASG so I’m not going to worry about it. My only hope is that no one’s falls for it. Also they called from a fort Myers, Florida number (239) 203 2057

I have gotten several calls from several numbers saying I’m in debt. There’s no way for me to be in debt because I pay everything on time with autopay and I only have a debit card. I don’t make many purchases over $200. They keep threatening calling the credit bureau, my anxiety is really bad so these calls scare me, but I know they aren’t real. I can’t imagine how someone with worse anxiety would react to it and cave in to it

Last call received was from 518-600-9581 they call maybe 10 times a day and leave messages talking about me going to prison. I have looked at all 3 credit reports with no mention of ASG Recoveries anywhere. I have blocked their numbers multiple times yet it still continues.

I have had multiple calls and text messages from different people and numbers claiming I owe drive time and need to make a payment to settle this account I have threatened them with lawyers and police they won't stop and now are telling me they have filed a 1099 form. I have contacted drive time and there finance company with no active accounts. How do I get them to stop without changing my number.

On 4/28/22, I received a voicemail on my work phone from "Tammy" (phone number 254-284-8938) with an urgent message about a debt that I owed, did not give any information about the debt. I called the number and got an automated recording telling me that if I paid over the web, I would get a 10% discount, sent me a link. I went to the link, said I owed Wells Fargo $7825.13 but was there was a settlement amount of $1956.28. i backed out of website. I chatted with someone from there website, but when asked for proof that I owed this money, she discontinued chat. I then got a call from "Tammy" on my cell phone with same urgent message.

Then I got a text message on my cell from "Nicola" from 205-627-7004 saying that they noticed I logged in but didn't choose an option to pay. I respond asking for a call. She called me back from 205-583-7609, telling me that I owed a credit card from 2006 to Wells Fargo that had went in default in 2011 and wanted to help me get it taken care of. I asked for proof that I owed this money. She said she would have to get back to me and hung up quickly.

I called my local Wells Fargo Home Mortgage branch and they looked up my name and SS# and said I don't owe them anything and that this is probably a scam. They said if I still owed them money from any point in time, it would still be in their system.

Then I received a text message from "Ron" from 559-206-4140 with same message as above. I asked him for additional information and could he call me. He responds by text asking if I am wanting to resolve this voluntarily. Again, i ask for more information. He texts again with my SS# and an old address from 2006 to appx 2013. Tells me balance and settlement information same as above and gives me to link to website again. I texted back asking what the money is owed for and that I needed documentation on this balance and he has stopped responding to me.
