ASG Recovers Reports & Reviews (236)

So today got a call from a "Carl" which is so funny because the very first time they called the same guy left a message saying his name was "Chris" and to do the right thing...anyways today they called and this "Carl" guy leaves a message again asking for the "Name of the individual that owns this phone number or if they could get an email or mailing address of the individual that owns this number" now shouldn't they have that if they were a legit company I mean they're clearly calling for someone but they don't have a name of the individual?! So dumb ? here's a number they're calling from (737)244-8940

This is exactly what they said to me. Except they said Carl from skiptracing!

I received the same threatening recorded phone call, email and even text! I called the number back 659-299-2017. They answered with "debt relief enrollment" and a spiel about it. When I tried to question them or have them pull up an account for me, they hung up. I called back 9 times and each time I got hung up on. Then I went to the asg recovers site and chatted with them because that is the only way that they can be contacted. Of course it did no good. These people need to be stopped. I reported them to the federal trade commission.

Constant threats about a 1099 to my taxes. Looks like they put a collection on my credit report-it’s not mine. I don’t have any personal loans out there to any business, student loans, etc. can this be true? ASG leaves no information to contact them when they threaten you.

If you replied they would continue to call. Report instead to the FBI website or attorney general website in your state and or BBB. It takes minutes. It’s a scam.

The initial robocall showed up as Account Services in Dec 2021 with a message of a debt being collected and gave prompts for taking care of it right then if I followed the prompts and could pay the debt at a discount. I hung up because I know what debt I do and dont have. Then I let calls go to my voicemail saying it was Joe from ASGRECOVERS.COM and I was getting the chance to take care of a $247 debt. And left the website address. These calls have continued almost on a daily basis. At one point I went to the website and it seems odd theres no physical address for this company or phone number that you talk to a live person. So I left the site and shortly afterwards I got a text message saying I didn't complete my payment. I replied back that I wasn't going to pay anything until I knew exactly when and who this debt occurred with. The response was a debt from First Cash in 2006. I knew then I didn't owe anything as in 2007 I had to file chapter 7. I called my bankruptcy attorney and he advised me to get a address or email so he could send a cease and desist order as all my debt was discharged. I want these call to stop but as SCAMMERS do they will continue. I have a long block list and it continues to grow. Oh and the photo they have of the CEO is of a woman on YouTube. I also have a gut feeling that they have a secondary scam coinciding with them by the name of CreditGlory.com.

Once you replied they would continue to call you. Your phone number now it’s on their list of potential people for their scams. That’s why you are getting plenty of calls now. I suggest using the time to report them to the FBI website, attorney general website and or BBB. It takes minutes.
Red flag was that they didn’t even mention your name on those first call. Other red flags are that what they are doing it’s 100% illegal, even if it was a debt consolidation company, but from what I am reading it is much worse than that. People with no debt are getting the same voicemails. They are fishing.

This Needs To Be Investigated By Federal Law Enforcement, And It Will.

"Hey, this is LaToya with A S. G. This is not the first time we've tried to call and it certainly won't be the last until we get a resolution. I did want to make you aware that the extra 10% savings applied to your payoff online is temporary. So I urge you to lock in the settlement. Now, even if you don't have the funds to settle, you can select a partial payment option or schedule your settlement for a later date. When you will be able to pay it. As of now, no, 10 99 c tax form has been issued for this account. Please take care of it before further action is required. We do also report to the credit Bureaus on all applicable accounts. So I urge you to take this seriously and take advantage of this offer. Our website address is www dot A S G recovers dot com. Again, that's A S G recovers dot com. I am legally required to inform you that this communication is from a debt collector. Thank you."

Replying to Mimabishop. It’s a total fishing scam to reel in people that think they owe money. Even if they do owe, this is illegal. They didn’t even have your name or your husband. If you replied to them once it would continue. Report them instead to the FBI website, AG website if your state and or BBB. It takes minutes to report.

Yes! I reported them. FBI website takes this complaints and so does the attorney general in your state.

Exactly the same message that I received

Hello!
I received the very same call, verbatim, except it was Tammy on March 1st 2022.
I'm so glad that I found this site first before going straight to the ASG website.
I had this creepy feeling that this was a scam. Now I'm glad I confirmed that feeling!
Thanks Guys! ??

1 (915) 252-9012

Same word for word received today from 408-489-7927.

Same message, weird scam.

Same message from 747-724-4117

I got the same message from la toya on Sunday and then this evening. So I went to the website to ck out an account for me but it turns out to be for my husband and when we supposedly got this loan or whatever he is this was not even my phone number. I also got a text message from a Carl saying he seen I logged into my account but didn’t select any payment options is there a reason or something I can help you with? Then a voicemail from him telling me to go to the website and select a payment option and use the chat for help

I got this EXACT message. scam?

That was the same message I got word for word.

Have received multiple calls daily stating that I owe for a payday loan which I've never had once in my life. Threating with 1099c tax form and only contact thru web chat or paying on website. No human contact what so ever. Also stating that i2 have to make a police report and send proof to them for it to go away without paying. Total BS!

Well I hope you report them. I did before stumbling on this site. First AG in my area. Then FBI.
I don’t replied to them.
Sorry that you had to go through that.
Their response it’s a little hysterical “made a police report to clear blah blah”
Someone someplace in Nigeria, my guess. It’s much worse than a fishing scam to get consumers in debt. Whichever it is, both illegal. But it’s definitely the last, a total scam. Shame on them. They messed up with the wrong person too.

Replying to Rabidpotato.

They are using her picture, right?

:) This is awesome! Antoher option to get under their skin in the chat is to ask the for their address! I said the same thing you said, and called the scammers and a fake Bot.. the person responded with " I'm a Human what makes you think I'm a bot?" LOLOLOL I just kept asking for their address to send a Cease and Desist letter to... what do ya know... CHat suddenly got quiet and got blocked... so I just rinsed and repeated several times

The image of the agent in the message window is from Korey Howell Photography out of Texas. Just in case another reader wants more evidence it's a scam, lol.

First time they've called on a weekend guy left message saying to leave a reply back at this number (458)207-3267 and to leave individuals "Name, email address, and mailing address " every time they've called not once have they said a name they just leave messages saying "You owe a debt" no names mentioned so now this message asking for a name because they dont have one( I know their phishing)... and a mailing address is just plain stupid ? I know this is scam from everything I've read here and because that website of their's is fake as [censored] but jfc can these people be anymore obvious and stupid

If you contact a scammer once, the more calls you will get. However, if you like playing with them, enjoy.

Like many above, I have received the same messages on my phone. I do not answer unknown callers and this number shows on my caller ID as Scam likely. I have my regular bills and everything is auto-drafted from my accounts, so I have not missed any payments on anything. I checked my credit report to make sure I wasn't missing anything, and everything looks good. I did go to their website, it has a box to enter you phone number to log in. I entered my number and a pop up asked if I was who I am and what are the last 4 of my ssn. I stopped at that and started looking around on here and found all these reports. Glad I did, and I will continue to not answer them.

+2

If you replied back and gave your number they would now have you on their phone number list to keep calling for this scam and other. Try using *67, it keeps your number anonymous/private if you ever call back instead of a website.

Keep calling with the same message others have said. Offering a settlement. Threatening with 1099. Same name Latoya. I have my unknown numbers going to voicemail so i haven’t answered. One call from CA one from Boston from same women..

+3

Latoya from ASG called and left a message that I haven't answered their calls and they will continue to call me until I pay my loan. I need to settle with them NOW she said. They said no 1099 is filed yet or collections, but it'll go on my credit

I have been receiving the attached voicemail on my cellphone every few days for the past 2 weeks. Each time, the caller ID has shown a different number. The one from today was from (956) 243-0784. I have not contacted ASG Recovers because I believe this is a scam. I do not have any outstanding debt that has gone to a collection agency - I have not received any letters in the mail, and I have also checked my credit report and it is clean. I believe ASG Recovers is attempting to get me to go on their website and enter my personal information.

They can threaten me all they want with a debt forgiveness form! Don't bother me one bit! Ok so then I would owe the IRS instead! But I believe this is a scam 100%!

+4

Threaten me that they will keep calling
They called twice today on 2/23/22
They offer to let me pay 10% but I have to act now
The tell me that they report to credit bureaus that's crazy because IO am sure if I had debt, I would already be on the list so that tells me it's a scam.
I would totally understand them trying to collect debt in a legal manner, but I owe know one. They do not even address me personally they just keep harassing me 5 calls now since Wed Feb 16, 2022, they call from 940-229-7893; 830-205-0224; 469-327-8785; 409-204-1430; 956-264-1134. All calls from my home state of TX accept the 830 call says United States.

+8

Even if they are reeling people in that have debt, it’s illegal. However, it’s a total scam. Not even a debt collection agency from what I am reading from others. Report to a state or federal agency online. It takes minutes.

Received numerous voicemails over the last 2 weeks from different phone numbers, stating this won't be the last time they call. Something about a 1099C ...blah blah blah... Tried calling back the number they call from (when they call my phone doesn't even ring, they go straight to voicemail) and goes to same Automated Message. Can't reach a Live person. Went online and put in my phone number, then exited ... Literally (and I mean lterally) 45 seconds laer I receive a text saying that they noticed I logged in and didn't choose any payment options. I answer the text back, (not giving any information) asking for an Address of their Company for correspindence to be sent to so that I can send a cease and desist letter... get nothing. Go onto their website again, use the chat feature, end that again, and again... a text again with the same message above. Also another voicemail (different person) wit the same message (at least the last one left the right web address with www, not ww as the first 2 reps left :))... anywho go back to the website 1 last time to have some fun... asked for an address and let them know I knew they were scammers, and I got a response of " I am not a bot" and the chat ended!

Called them out through text and web chat they stopped for a day then resumed the annoying harassment if they're reading this forum [censored] off we all know you're scammers you keep trolling all of us we're going to troll you right back swear these [censored] act like a bunch of 10yr Olds

This ASG Recovers continuously calls me about a debt I supposedly owe (which I don't have any debts). They give you a website to go to and threaten to send 1099 C form if debt is not paid off. When you go to the website and type in your number, it asks to confirm/deny if you are the listed name. I continue to tell them to stop harassing me as I am not that person but they do not care. I googled similar complaints and this appears to be a scam.

+2

I keep getting messages from ASG Recovers. This has been going on for about a year now with a recent uptick in calls again. They are from different numbers/states. I want to be left alone but don’t trust contacting them. This scam needs to be shut down. I have never had a late payment and have never been sent to collections. I have never received anything via mail (especially certified) from them to even make me think this would be remotely legit. A couple calls sound threatening (male voice) and it’s very uncomfortable.

I received a call from a number that was unfamiliar to me. I did not answer, and did receive a VM from the caller. The VM claimed that I had an outstanding amount due for a online loan in the amount of 390.00. I was directed to, asgrecovers.com in order to either pay the outstanding balance of 390.00 or set-up payment arrangements. The website did not provide any information about the company that was supposedly handling the collections, including, email or a physical address. The website only provided a few options to set-up either, weekly or monthly payments....including the amounts to be paid, credit/debit card information, names and or banking information. I asked for verification that the loan was mine and the representative stated, "if it was in my name, rest assured

it was mine". When I informed the "customer service representative " that I had performed a Google search on their company and I would be filling a dispute with the Better Business Bureau, all communication stopped. I am also attaching screenshots of the website below....you can only upload one image, but that will give you an idea of what I'm referring too.

These people keep calling me from several different phone numbers. They don't have correct information and have contacted me regarding 2 different people, no specific information, no opportunity to validate the "debt" they say I owe. I've told them multiple times to stop calling and that they have the wrong person. Some [censored] called me back demanding that I go to their website and make a payment, kept talking over me, refused to listen to me that he had the wrong person and that I don't owe any money. The company isn't even anyone I've borrowed money from. This is bull[censored] and a total scam.

They keep saying i owe a debt which i have no knowledge on when i went on the site they say it's for an online payday loan i don't have a pay day loan. It's total B's now they are calling my fiancee this is ridiculous and i block their numbers and they keep calling my i don't know how to make them stop.

+7

Calling them out on the scam worked for me but, I think they're reading this site so they may still push even if you do that but rest assured, it IS a scam so, while it may be annoying, there's really not much to worry about.
