Sent a fake bill multiple times, looks like a bill, has a place to remit payment online or a form to tear and fill out on the bottom. One line in the middle of the page paragraph says this is not a bill this is a solicitation. I'm sure they're sending this to hundreds of companies and seeing who isn't paying enough attention to it and just sends the money in.

This is an identical scam to Domain Listings LLC of Nevada. They send out invoices for domain hosting which look official charging 10x more than any other legitimate provider. Buried in a big block of official looking text is a disclaimer that says "this is not a bill" as some kind of cover but everything else about the document looks like an official bill. This is identical to complaint #22355277 for an address in Nevada. The phone number to each has a 505 area code which tracks to New Mexico. The deceptive practices of this company appear an attempt to trick people into overpaying for services currently provided by competitors.

Our business, St. L******* V***** ******** received a letter highlighting and annual website domain listing charge of $289. It was deceitful in that it looked like we owed the $289/year and should pay it now. Our domain listing actually costs $21.99/year, so I feel this is a scam trying to get folks to switch at a much higher cost for the same features.

REcieved mail that looks like a real invoice for a hosting service. This is dangerously difficult to tell the difference from due to the nature of domain hosting services being so behind the scenes.

I received an email from [email protected] last September telling me it was time to renew my domain. I followed the link and since our website is run by a company that is separate from the domain I though it was legitimate. The link sent me to their website where it prompted me to add my email and domain name as well as an optional code number. Then it asked me for my billing address and payment details where I put in my card information. I was charged for a domain renewal of $289. The same thing happened when they emailed me again in March and I paid the same amount again.

Postal mail of invoice for hosting website domain for company

- Beacon, NY, USA • Jun 24, 2024

Domain Networks sent an invoice in the amount of 289.00 for an annual wesite domain listing. It is misleading because they they state that this fee will enhance my website exposure in their directory, but can be misconstrued as payment to keep my website domain. I am concerned because they list my Registrar as Squarespace Domains LLC who is my domain provider, and I use this site as my website builder. Does Domain Networks have access to all domains at Squarespace?

- Milwaukee, WI, USA • Jun 05, 2024

Scammer mailed an unsolicited "bill" for web domain hosting that presents as a bill due for services, and only the fine print says "this is not a bill". *Clearly* intended as a deceptive practice to get a check mailed out.

- Arcata, CA, USA • May 23, 2024

We received what looked like an invoice for a domain listing. It does say it is a solicitation, but isn't obvious

A fake bill requiring payment for an 'annual' term for a fake service regarding my legitimate website domain.

- Lake In The Hills, IL, USA • Mar 19, 2024

Postal mail sent to my business name and address. Invoice for $289 for subscription for annual domain/business listing on DomainNetworks.com. The paper is set up to look like a bill for annual website domain with your domain registrat. Unless you read the disclosure, it looks like you're receiving a bill from the registrar of the domain name (in my case - ************ when it's actually for a one year directory listing on domainnetworks.com. The format is set up to deceive.

They send me a fake invoice requesting payment of $289 for a service I never requested. They claimed that is was for "marketing services" and "Annual Website Domain Listing." They include a payment stub with their mailer noting "please make chedks payable to: Domain Networks."

- Butler, PA, USA • Feb 29, 2024

Our business received an invoice for Marketing Services through the post office. We spoke with the company who does our marketing and they confirmed that this is a scam. They requested $289.

- Casper, WY, USA • Feb 20, 2024

Bogus solicitation. Should be illegal.

- Arlington Heights, IL, USA • Feb 15, 2024

we get letters in the mail asking us for our cc information or make checks payable to this company stating that we have our domain name registered with that company and we should pay them to keep our website going with our domain name. We know this is a scam because I personally handle majority of the payments that go out of here and was involved in designing our website and hiring a different company to host our domain name and our website.

Invoice for alleged 'annual website domain listing' of our company for $289. Invoice states the annual subscription includes: annual domain & business listing on daomainnetworks.com.

Invoice also included the Registrar company for our domain and where it is hosted.

I was mailed a bill for a domain I have at GoDaddy. They listed *********************************** on the invoice but to show their lack of scam detail, the also listed ****************************************** in a different area on page 2 (I have that domain, along with many others, at GoDaddy). In short, they are trying to fool consumers to paying them money that is not owed to them (GoDaddy is the only party that needs to be paid). I will wager that a) many people unwittingly pay, b) many realize it is a scam and through the bill away. I wanted to report it. Please confirm your receipt of this complaint. I hope someone stops them. Thanks

- Virginia Beach, VA, USA • Jan 05, 2024

The postal mail indicated that $289 was required for an annual domain listing of a website that my company currently owns; however, this company (Domain Networks) is not the business we use for our domain listings and is not in any way associated with our domain listing.
