Contacted regarding a wellness consultant position from "fitness company" Northstar Inspired. They scam people out of money for their exam study guides. Received a study guide that was so out of date, most of the information is now wrong. The exam is so vague that is was impossible to even understand what the question was asking. Multiple people online have been scammed too, so I just want to warn people before this fraud company steals more money from people.

The job position required me to go to the bank and make deposits. I knew it was a scam when I asked why i needed to go to the bank,

I was offered employment through the speedway company Feb 24,2023 and was informed that I would receive my first payment 30 days after shipping my first order. 04/06/2023 is the date I am scheduled to get paid and did not receive the payment. I have received packages and completed tasked that were a part of the job duty and now I am having issues getting in contact with any of the supervisors and I can not find anything about the company online.

- Bakersfield, CA, USA

Job offer to be paid $2400 to receive packages at my house and ship them out to address on shipping label. I did all the work required but on payday they locked me out of online dashboard won't answer phone or texts or emails. They gave me legit looking it's and secretary of state registered business papers so I believed them and had me fill out a w-4 so they have all my info. I signed up for direct deposit so they have that info as well. I'm scared.

- Johnstown, PA, USA

I was emailed directly saying I was offered a job as a personal assistant. When I replied to accept, I got 1 phone call that was supposed to be an "interview" that lasted 3 minutes. I was then sent paperwork: application and contract and sent back. I was then told I'd have a month long internship and be training online via Webex from a "Mia Johnson." There was no video, phone, or voice communication through any of this. I was just told to do data entry by entering multiple individuals' information into a spreadsheet: name, address, email, and phone and was also asked to open a Wise account to "learn investing." Nothing was ever distributed into that account, but I was instructed to move it to my own bank account once funds arrived.

- Medford, NJ, USA

The job posting was on LinkedIn for a remote personal assistant for the Gibbs Group, LLC. I applied via LinkedIn (no external site). I was emailed by the scammer. I did not realize it was a scam until the first "task" for the job included depositing a check. This person has access to LinkedIn as an employer (though now I went to see and their job listing and profile are gone, meanwhile LinkedIn did not notify me or any of the applicants who applied via easy apply within LinkedIn to this job); he has access to my email, and my phone/address/full name. His email is ************************** and this is potentially their scam website or the company they are lying about being a part of ************************************ 1st email:

Hi,

I received and reviewed your application regarding the Personal Assistant position at Gibbs Group, Inc.

This position is a home-based and flexible part-time job. You can be in any location or work from your home doing all the activities and it doesn't affect your present job if you're employed now.

You will work on the average of about 5 - 10 hours per week and will start by paying you $700 per week which will rise to $1000 depending on how effective you are. This job is temporary and could possibly be a permanent one for you based on how you deliver your duties

I would have loved to conduct a telephonic interview with you but due to my busy schedule, it'll be difficult to do that.

Here are the interview questions, answer all questions, and respond as quickly as you can.

What are your primary skills and expertise?

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

How quickly do you respond during working hours?

What would you do if you had a deadline and your computer suddenly crashed?

How do you handle a situation when you may not know how to complete a task?

Let’s say your inbox is flooded with messages. How do you prioritize which ones to respond to first?

What do you do when a client has trouble articulating their needs?

Which kind of skills do you believe are the most important for a virtual customer service representative?

What software programs are you familiar with?

How would you describe your computer skills?

Thank You and Best Regards,

As I always try to research for a job I am applying for, they too told me to download the “Signal App” fortunately for me they take forever to respond, as I googled the phone number provided, the first hyperlink I saw is ScamPulse.com Scam, and I didn’t want to proceed any further, just delete the app block that person and report

The scammers offered me a job I accepted they sent packages to my address I reshipped those packages for them and was told I would do a 30day probationary period then will receive a pay of 3300$ and after that 2400$ every two weeks I signed w-4 forms as well they know my birthdate social and address

I was contacted by multiple people working under this company name through email and eventually had a phone interview and was offered the job. The job description is that I would receive packages being sent to my location where I would then unpack the items and inspect them before repackaging it up to be shipped to the buyer. The sent emails about how I can go to the IRS site to confirm that they are not a scam. They have my SSN, driver's license and bank information.

Seemed too good to be true from the start. I applied for the job and received a phone call. I did an over the phone interview. It was strange because the man I talked to had the name Patrick Hill but he sounded very foreign. I worked there for over two months and quit my real job for this. I received three paychecks from them in the amount of $140 and $180. I received and shipped back out over 60 packages. Today I was supposed to get a direct deposit of over $3200. Never received. My account was suspended this morning but now it’s back open. I’ve sent multiple messages and emails and haven’t heard anything back. They had multiple spelling errors in all the messages they sent and on the website itself. When you search Insizu on google nothing comes up I had a link to their website in an email. A lot of the packages I was sending were being sent to an Amazon facility.

So I just got hired at this company as a CSR personnel for a maya calhoun at jiosaavn media. I had applied on indeed and had gotten a response within a few days. Last I heard she said she was sending me a check through the mail to purchase my equipment and that check would also include my sign on bonus. It's been almost a week since I've heard from her and I'm starting to get frustrated because I really need this job

I received a contract, signed it and agreed to make shipments to new locations as a "Quality Inspector," making sure contents matched the description and checking for damages. However the peyment is salaried and commissioned based per month, 3200 salary and 15 per package if delivered within 24 hours. Except I believe i'm not going to get paid and continuing to assist federal criminals and wish to stop and turn these people in.

This scam had me working for them for two months. I was quality inspector for the company's packages that were shipped to me. I process and inspect them then get a shipping label to send them off. The first month's packages I was paid $20 for each that I processed. This was "probation." the next month would have been $3200 monthly for 80 or less packages processed. I did the work and at the end of March, two weeks to the end of March, they stopped all communication. I got no more packages and heard nothing about payment. The phones do not go further than the options screen. The hiring process was fairly legitimate and I thought I did my checks and balances. Their shopping website is still up and running and I still am able to access their CRM but nothing more.

I was emailed about a data entry job position starting off making $25/hr during training, then after training it will increase to$28/hr. I responded stating I was interested. I was then sent a site to click to do the assessment, which asked legitimate questions as far as assessments go. After completing the assessment, a couple of days later I received an offer letter which I signed. After that I haven't heard anything for two weeks. I started to research the company online to get a contact number. I emailed the company to follow-up on my job offer. I was emailed back stating that the person who was in contact with me did not work for the company.

I applied for a job on Indeed as a Package Processor with the company Heaven Smith of Plastic Shipping & Legistics US. It was a work from home possition, they sent you package and you made sure everything was in the package that needed to be. Then you ship the package out using a shipping lable provided by the company.

- Fountain, CO, USA

Received a job offer that was too good to be true. Email asked for personal information. Email domain was a red flag (gmail, not a professional domain). Grammatical errors were a red flag. Email stated their office was in Salt Lake City, UT. According to records online, this office was dissolved and they now have an office in Denver, CO. Job did not require interview. Could not find this supposed “HR Manager” named Austin Reed in their company directory.
