Sorry for the delayed response as I'm glad to inform you that your first assignment is now ready as promised even though it came a little bit late. It will deliver today or Monday and the FedEx/USPS .

The payment to be delivered includes your first week pay ($400) and the rest will be used for the purchase of some pre-designed art work for the art gallery. I'll send you the list of the pre-designed art work by Monday or Tuesday week as it's still in evaluation process in order to note and ascertain the necessary pre-designed art work needed. I'll be returning on the 10th of the April so we should be able to meet up for a proper interview two days later or whenever you are able to meet for interview after my arrival .

Once payment is received, proceed to your bank and have it DEPOSITED (deposit can be done via ATM or Bank Mobile App as well). The funds will be made available within 24 - 48 hours by your bank and email back as soon as you complete the deposit so that you can be fed with more details. I also want you to send me a copy of the deposit receipt to my email for my record/confirmation. Please write back as soon as possible to confirm you received my email and understand the instructions.

I'll be awaiting your swift response so do enjoy your day,

Best regards,

April Wilson

I was first contacted via text by a man for job offer. He then told me to download Signal app. From there I spoke with a woman that ask personal questions especially about my bank. After i passed the interview questions. She then sent me an email with a check to purchase equipment. The check was $3000. I did not cash the check due to how old this process was and how she pushy she was for to have it done within a couple of minutes. When I told her I could not do that she then asked if I could buy a prepaid debit card. I also did not do that. I called the customer support number from this companies website and they told me that this was a common scam that was being done under their name.

I was sent an email stating that my background would be a good match with their company. To apply for the position click the link: https:forms.gle/hyYuimXFuVfqQrYT98. It was a position for a Personal Assistant. The person says they own an Art Gallery and operate at a high cost of operation and would like to cut down expenses by employing a Personal Assistant/Administrative Assistant. The weekly pay $400 and work 10-12 hours weekly and 1-2 days weekly. I received another email saying to expect a package with a check that will have my weekly pay and the rest of the money to purchase of some pre-designed art work for the gallery. Once I get the check I'm to go to my bank or use mobile app to deposit the check and send a copy of the deposit receipt. I received the package with the check for $3500. The whole thing just didn't seem right so I did some research on the internet. I looked up Capsule Arts and the person that emailed me was not listed as an employee. On the package label the name was not the one that emailed me there was also the initials JML. I looked up the address and it was a valid address but it said it was JML Trading LLC, JML Bedding Import, Sew Fourth, and JML Jin Mei Lun Trading LLC. The business was an office space attached to a warehouse. The whole situation just doesn't seem legit.

Contacted by "Sydney Davis" claiming to be with the recruitment team at Ametek Mocon. I was told to meet via zoom with "Simon Powell" ([email protected]). I never actually spoke with him even though I had a missed zoom call but no answer when I called back. I received a offer letter by email from "Henry Anderson" ([email protected]) but on closer inspection, the logo looks copied and pasted and there is no address listed anywhere on the letter. I started to feel that it was a scam when I googled the list of office equipment Simon said I would have to purchase with the "company check" I would be receiving from FedEx. I mean the desk alone was like over $1,000. After I started tracking the check (mailing address from Minnesota but package picked up in Houston, Tx, I started asking Simon some personal questions about the weather and such because this happened during that cold snap where it was like -15 degrees outside in MN...that's where his cover was blown, and I was aware that they were trying to scam me.

I cannot edit my info out, so I cannot share a picture.

Indeed sold my info. This is all from indeed.com

I recently received an email from "Adnet Systems inc." through my personal website. The email said the following:

FROM: Adnet Systems Inc.

Hi,

Welcome to Adnet Systems. We recently looked over your background and we think you will be a good fit as a Remote Web Developer. I’d love to invite you to interview with us. Our slots fill quickly, so we recommend that you schedule as soon as possible to receive your preferred time.

Sincerely,

Stacy Gallagher

Normal so far. So I looked up their website (https://www.adnet-sys.com/) which looks normal and says they are contractors for NASA. I then went to their LinkedIn company page (https://www.linkedin.com/company/adnet-systems-inc-/) which appears normal on the surface, but after scrolling through the global search results on LinkedIn, I found the following post from a user which outlines the scam (https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7033780675228946432?update...⇄ />
And if that weren't enough, searching for "Adnet systems scam" on google took me to the following reddit page:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/11m58y4/the_most_elaborate_job_scam_ive_...⇄ />
Which outlines the scam in greater detail.

According to the links above, the scam involves trying to get you to buy an expensive laptop up front while they mail you a $2000 check,. They then have you mail the laptop to the 'company' so they can install company software on it, then they refund the check, so you end up paying for the laptop out of your own pocket.

I received a text from a ***** ****** with GT Biopharma, Inc., informing me that they would like to interview me for the Remote Data Entry Analyst position. It pays $27 per hour and they wanted to know if I was interested. I said yes and they texted back stating that I will be redirected to the HR manager for more information about the position and company. The interview would be conducted via Signal Private Messenger app. I asked for more information on the job and have not had a response back. I have just now texted them stating that this is a scam and have blocked the number.

I was sent an email in relation to a job post I applied to through LinkedIn. They sent me a link that said www.identitycreditcheckup.com but when I clicked it, I was taken to www.identityiq.com to pull my credit report. The website says they are ScamPulse.com accredited but could not find the in the business search on BBB.org. They insist that I need to do this in order to complete a background check. I tried manually entering www.identitycreditcheckup.com but no website was found.

I got contaced by David King telling me about a job offer for work at home customer service role. We held the interview through Telegram, and asked me basic questions from ''why do want to work here?'' and ''why is a work from home position important to you?'' After the conversation, I got a message to fill out paperwork, and I would be sent a paycheck for the equipment I needed to buy for my position. I asked him through both email and on Telegram if I was hired, no reponse. I then got a message to sent a payment to a CashApp by the name of Nadine Molina $NinnaMolina to give her 400 for the downpayment from the check to cover ''expensives.'' The he told me to cash the check I sent him and email me proof so he would know how much was left over. When I mentioned again about being hired, there was no response. I then reported to my bank, and have the other recevier on CashApp and scammers.

I received an email from [email protected] advising for me to contact a hiring manager named Graham Jeberg via Signal where I was sent a letter about the company. Then I was asked three sets of questions. I was told to follow up the next day for an official response. I was then told I was hired and a check would be mailed to me via fedex or ups where I would have to deposit it into my bank account and then make office equipment purchase through their vendor.

They contacted me asking me to make two interviews by skype with Ashlyn Crenek, both of them typing without a conference call. They told me I passed the interviews, and they want me to start immediately. She started asking me personal questions like my bank account and I told her that I don't feel comfortable giving this information without a conference call. She never responded back.
