I said: Weekly and Direct Deposit to my cash app acct. He asked again: What bank do you affiliated with? I told him the bank name only.

Do you have any questions so far before we proceed with the interview? I asked 2 or 3 questions. He answered vaguely. The company’s will provide all the working materials and ship them to your home address if you are hired! We are going mainly to the interview questions and answers section. As soon as you are done answering any question, you are to write DONE. Are you ready now? He then asked for my full name and mailing address. I gave it to him bc I thought, at that time, he was legit. He continued with few more common interview questions which I answered.

You have done well so far and you seem like a perfect fit for this position. I need you to hold on online because i need to forward our conversation to the Head Dept. to enable them see if you are committed and good for this job. Congratulations, the company has decided to give you a chance to work for the company and would like to see your diligence, Charisma, Commitment to this job.

You will be getting your paperwork. An HR document during your orientation and training from your supervisor, you are to fill, sign and send back to us. Also your job offer letter will be ready tomorrow morning and sent to your email. Then I had a couple more questions. Is the job on contract-basis or have taxes withheld? He answered: No on contract

It’s permanent position.

I asked about getting a company handbook. He said I would. Then, I asked

What are the internet dowload/upload speed requirements? He replied,

It will come along with your work materials. The company will provide you with everything needed for this job and it will be delivered to your address. Once your complete working materials are delivered, your training starts immediately. And you will receive video call during your training process for better understanding of your job.

It’s will be stated in the paperwork that will come along with your work materials.

Okay, so I will have a little time to become compliant with the requirements?

Sure. You will receive a check from the company which will be used to purchase everything needed and you will also be instructed on everything you have to do.

My bank will hold the funds of an out-of-state check for 5-7 days due to possible fraud. This was when I started to suspect that this was a scam.

No problem.

I understand that and this is real okay! NOTE: All Equipment's and software's are to be purchased from the company's accredited vendor and that is because all materials will be Customized in your names with the Company Logo and shipped to you via FedEx. And I will instruct you how to go about the purchase. Is that clear? That will be all for today. Be prompt online at 8am tomorrow morning for the delivery details regarding your complete working materials. Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!

Next day 11/15/22:

After pleasantries, Your job offer letter has been confirmed and will be ready before the end of today. What email would you prefer it’s sent to? I told him. A few minutes later. Sent! Confirm you receive it and get back to me now please. I did and told him that I would review and if ok, will fill, sign and return to Ms Caitlin Paylor. She's the one who sent the employment offer to me.

Received! The check to purchase your work materials has already been mailed out and you should receive it within 1/2 business working days. I will keep you posted with the tracking number immediately I got it on my desk. Understood?

That will be all for now till you receive the check for further instructions. Hope you have a good day!

The next day 11/16/22, he sent me the FEDEX tracking number for the check. Then he started having me track the envelop. It didn't arrive, so the next day 11/17/22 he had me call FEDEX. It had been returned to Ms Payton as "undeliverable."

The check will be sent to you through email in PDF copy (back and front ) because we are trying to avoid delay encountered in mail delivery to home addresses. All you have to do when you receive the check in your email is to print out Both the front and back of the check, endorse the check by signing at the back then process the deposit with your bank mobile app. The funds will be available within 24 hour or less so you can start purchasing your work materials. I believe you can handle that?

Yes, however, my bank is very cautious about mobile deposits and will hold the check 5-7 business days no matter what, especially, since I've had some fraudulent checks sent to me in the past.

Oh I see. Let me notify finance department for another means of funds availability. Hold on please!

Wire transfer and sending/transferring to company direct are the only two ways left. I won't give you my bank info without knowing for sure that this is truly legit.

Give me a moment.

That's when I said: It's been almost 2 hrs. Is this job legit or not. Please don't waste my time! I am unemployed and need to find a legitimate job.

Let me notify finance department as I don’t take decisions on my own.

I started questioning about his location, his finance dept location vs the location where the envelop w/check was coming from (CA). He started telling me that the company had branches all over, but finance dept was in Florida like him.

Friday morning 11/18/22

I sent him a chat that the check was not going to make it in time for training to begin on Monday, 11/21/22.

A new check will be mailed out and you have to be patient please

Monday morning 11/21/22

I chatted Good morning! I've just been reading reviews this morning. They weren't good. Has Arise gotten new management in the last few months to a year? He ignored my question and me for rest of day.

Tuesday 11/22/22

He chatted The check with deposit instructions has been sent to your email. Please, confirm you receive it and get back to me now please.

Received the check and instructions. Whose acct is this check written on? It’s not written on an Arise Virtual Solutions' acct.

He said: Written from Carl Lewis, the sub contract company under Arise you will work online with! Are you done with the deposit now? I told him: No.

I won't send for deposit until my bank verifies it's legit.

I called my bank and forwarded the emailed check to the fraud dept. She got back to me in minutes saying the check was more than likely fraud.

End of scam.

The Hourly pay 28$ only, the business Arise Virtual Solutions which i never sent a resume there, and the Boss name "Sydney Everett" there's literally no boss name that in Arise. and the phone number that texted me that isn't from Arise due to the location the text was from. i know they know my name but I'm glad they don't know any bank info or SSN.

Thank you for adding this. I have a text from the same number for a job at Sesame Inc. to add Douglas Egan to Microsoft Teams for an interview as a Data Entry Clerk. I've been scammed before so I looked up the name and company and couldn't find any connection. Googled the phone number and your post popped up. Thanks again!

They used Indeed.com connected me through my phone. Offering me the job, made me go to the signal app. Made it sound legitimate. Wanting me to pay for 3,100 for company products they said. We investigated and found out that I was being scammed. I connected the company seeing if I was. They have no information of me.

Offered a remote job to start ASAP when I researched the company I can't find anything

On indeed I applied for a personal assistant at a orthopedic center only to have a woman do an interview about marketing and working with clothing and other at home items rather than an actual orthopedic. She wanted to use me to market as a trial run without compensation

I was scammed by a fake remote job offer. The fake hiring manager (Anne Leinart) issued me a fake check ($4,950) for the purpose of purchasing the office equipment needed to perform job duties (data entry). Once check was deposited, per mobile app, I was instructed the next day to transfer by Zelle $2,000 to her fake supply manager (Justin Faris). Additionally, I was instructed to purchase four $500 Visa gift cards from Walmart totalling $2,019.76 for equipment. At this time I finally snapped to realize this was a well planned scam!! I expressed my concerns with the fake hiring manager (Anne Leinart), at which time she discontinued the conversation per RingCentral. I have attached a screen shot as evidence. Please let me know if there is additional information needed.

They provided a check with my name and $1,500.35. The letter attached asked for 3 gift cards to be sent to (213)-605-3516 with the back and the front showing. The check has the name Alexandra Harper and the letter has the name Ben Williams.

They sent an offer letter and conducted an interview. I was later told to send a picture of my ID front and back with me holding it. They then told me to download telegram where I was told all of my work would be done on there.

They offered a remote job. They did send a check to pay for supplies since I could not find the company on this website I declined the job. I provided them my address, phone number, and email. They even sent a contract for employment. The addresses did not match on the check and contract information.

Another odd request, but I proceeded, asked what bank I used and that was a red flag.

It pulled up a website that has links that don’t work.

I applied to job on Indeed.com for a Remote Customer Service Representative for Therapy Connections, LLC. Someone named Nicole reached out to me saying that she was the one that I was going to be working for and that she wanted to know more about me before I join her team. After a couple of emails back and forth, she offered me the position and asked for my address to send a check containing my sign on bonus and money to by the items that I needed such as a computer, scanner, etc. After receiving the check I looked at who the check was from and it was from a excavation contracting company names James W. Flett Co., Inc. I decided to reach out to the Nicole and to the person who said that they were the accounting office named Daniel Lewis. Once I started inquiring and told them that I wanted to speak on the phone to make sure that this offer is legit, they just disappeared. I have not heard anything since. This is a huge deal considering that I am out of a job right now and I have missed out on several opportunities.

They approached me via telegram to conduct and interview and had multiple people reach out to me.

I was curious to what he would say because i already knew it was a scam. No legit company contacts you at 9 pm and then immediately wants to do an interview. So I almost started an interview with him but decided not to waste my time. i did my due diligence and googled them. Wallace Travel Group is real…however these people added an s at the end…trying to be slick. I contacted the actual company and alerted them. They had never heard of the man that contacted me.

Employment Scam

*****, if you still want to make income online, we have a few openings over the next few day to discuss that, text S if you want one of those spots, first come, first serve, thank you.

I saw the advertisement for School Transportation Drivers for Special Needs Children.I applied for the position and sent an email to ask about the work hours and my altered schedule. A female representative called from the number 215-486-2555 which is a Pennsylvania number. We spoke about the position, the hours, and the pay. I was then sent 2 emails to began the on-boarding requirements for the driving position. The address listed for the company is in Orlando, Florida. But there is not zip code for the address. I contacted ScamPulse.com in Florida to ask about the company. A ScamPulse.com representative called back later stating she could not find any information about the company. She called the number I provided and it was a dead end. The posted address in Florida is not valid. I am so happy I researched this company before I provided my personal information.

I was contacted through email for a job opportunity as Project Manager. The email stated that they were International Shipping and Trade Company called IP Logistics Co. or International Ports Logistics Co.A person named Annie Bauer with the supposed comany's Human Resources Dept contacted me first with the position offer. Annie asked if I was interested and to fill out some forms for on boarding as a contractor. I completed the forms and sent it back to the address of [email protected]. A supposed second employee from the company's Human Resources Dept emailed me and told me more about the position. His name was Nicholas (Nick) Westerman - [email protected]. I thought that the offer was too good to be true. The company was opening another site in Maryland and needed some to help run the new location. They stated in the email that I would undergo training for four weeks and complete a final test. Once I passed the test, I would be flown to the company headquarters to given an official employment offer and complete another week of training. They stated that all expenses would be paid for the trip, lodging, flights, everything. They also stated that if I did well in the training exams I would received a $5200 check after the end of four week training.

I began training on the week of September 6th, 2022 and completed training on October 10, 2002. I corresponded with Nick throughout the four week training period as he stated he would be my training manager. I received another email on October 4, 2022 that a $5200 check has been processed and it would be sen to my address given to them through on on-boarding papers. After I submitted my final test, I was told that it would take a week to grade and he would reach out with the next training details. I didn't hear from him again until October 14th, 2022, when I sent an email inquiring about my training payment of $5200. He responded that he would contact the Zurich headquarters about the payment. Since then I have not heard from him since or anyone from this supposed company and I just discovered that the International Ports Logistics Co. website is now down and/or no longer exists.

I received a text from a number claiming that they were interested in interviewing me for a position at their company. They did not specify which position that would be. And asked if I was available at 5:30 on 10/31/222 for a zoom interview. I was not familiar with that company, but I recently applied for a lot of jobs on Indeed, and thought I may have forgotten. However, I did not see the posting on my Indeed archive either. Nevertheless, I said that I would be willing to interview, but asked if they could send me the specific position that I applied for. They ignored my question about sending the specific position that I supposedly applied for and said that they would send an email with a link to the zoom interview. They also said that they would send a text message 30 minutes before to confirm.

I received the email with the zoom link on the day of the interview. I looked up the names of the HR representative ("*****) and hiring manager (****** *******") included in the email and could not find them on the company website or on the company's LinkedIn page. I also did not find any job openings related to anything I applied for on the company website. This company would be D2S Inc. which is a legitimate company, but as far as I know, it is not based in the state where I live. And finally, the email address was flagged with a question mark by Gmail, indicating that the email address could not be verified.

In light of all of these inconsistencies, I decided not to go through with the interview. I also received a text to confirm the interview 2 minutes before it was scheduled. Just to be clear, I never attended the interview and only talked to this person a few times through text messages. Regardless, I am almost positive that this was a scam. I applied for several jobs on Indeed in the months leading up to this, so assume that this is how this person got my email and phone number. I am just relaying this information and reminding everyone to always verify the identity of the person interviewing you, particularly for remote interviews.
