Aloha! The caller always leaves a voice mail stating that criminal action is going to be taken against me if I don't call back. I did call back a few times to ask for verification that they are the IRS, and the man said that 1) they cannot verify and 2) they do not have to identify themselves. They were able to tell me my name and my address by my phone number. Then they hang up on me! I've contacted the IRS in Washington DC and reported the scam on their website, and I have contacted the Hawaii ScamPulse.com to try to make sure that I am being scammed, and that I don't really have a tax problem!

Note that I have been in Atlanta, Georgia recently so the scammer thinks that I am at a Georgia address, but my phone number is a Hawaii number (area code 808) because I am a Hawaii resident.

two back to back calls saying i was being sued by IRS and to call the # provided above. It was an automated message with no further details and hung up automatically. I have no outstanding items with the IRS. No previous contact by the IRS. I recognize that this was a scam so I did not pursue it further. Just wanted to report it

It's a woman's voice, and she tells me that I need to call that number and if I don't, they are going to come and arrest me. They've called both my house phone and my cell phone. I'm extremely tired of being threatened by these phone calls!

Someone keep calling me from this number telling me to return their call and say they are calling from IRS in Washington, DC. They said I owe them money, but I don't. In this week they have called my cell phone 23 times. How can I get them to STOP calling me

Received a phone call from someone claiming to be the IRS. Gave me personal information of mine that was true, causing me to believe that he worked for the IRS. He said I owed money ($5,000) on taxes and if I did not pay today or talk to the IRS I could be fined or even be arrested for "miscalculated" taxes or "fraudulent" payments on taxes. He said I need to get the payment out in cash and transfer that to Visa Gift Cards so the government officials can have the cards and proof of money so that it is easier. I gave them the card numbers, but while doing so I heard some strange background noises and asked questions about the reliability of his service. The man got defensive and rude. I hung up and called the cops to ask if this was a scam or a real thing. They said it was a scam. I called the Visa gift card customer service to put holds on all the cards, but they had already spent $1,500 of my money illegally. I am waiting to file a dispute and report it so I can get my money back.

I received a call from this number identifying themselves as IRS and said I owed back taxes from either 2014 or 2015. They had foreign accent and hard to understand. They said I owed $5453.00 dollars and case number was CP50143. I asked why I didn't receive papers and they said I did which is a lie and know time was up and I would be charged with tax evasion. I hung up by saying I would get an attorney to handle this. I even said I was told the IRS was not suppose to contact you by phone.

a robo call came from that number and left a message and stated I was being sued by the IRS and to call them back at that number

I have been contacted two times by 253-203-1856 (Tacoma, WA). They call and tell me to call this number, saying they are from the IRS and that the government is after me for money that I owe. I called the #, knowing that it is a scam, but wanted to find out their method of approach. The woman claims that she is Ofc. Kathleen Jasper and told me to write down some numbers. She has a foreign accent. There is a lot of noise in the background. I finally told her that I knew that it was a scam and was going to call the ScamPulse.com. I told her to take my name off of their calling list.

I got a call saying that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call back. I called back and was asked to give identifying information which I did not provide. I said I was not comfortable giving that information and the person on the other line then said, then I don't believe you are who you say you are. You are not *** ***. I hung up.

I got a phone call I wasn't able to answer so they left me a message. "Hello this call is officially a final notice from the IRS the internal revenue service. The reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number (43.5)559-2302. Thank you." I called twice from my work number which I work for the federal government and that is how the caller Id will show up. The first time it rang numerous times then a man picked up said he was the IRS education department. I said excuse me what department did you say and then the phone was disconnected. I called back and the same guy answered and I said I got a message about a lawsuit from the IRS. He said, are you calling from the number we called you at, I said no my work number and then the phone went silent. He hung up on me. I am attaching the screen shot of the message he left.

Receive multiple daily phone calls with pre-recorded announcement stating you owe Monies and that if you do not reply you will be sued. Calls come in with partial numbers showing on caller id
