They state they are the IRS and you owe on your back taxes and they are calling to collect. They reported that I owed on my taxes from 3 years ago at the moment of almost $4,000. They stated a warrant would be released for my arrest if I did not pay anything. They gave me the option to fight the case in court and if I lost I would have to pay $3500.They will advise you to put your payment on an iTunes gift card( the $15-$500, that way you can put as much as you want) they will then ask you to scratch the number off the card and give them the number.

Got a recorded call from a woman claiming she was an officer of the IRS and they had a law suit against me. Scam.

this phone number ( 1-206-823- 3845 ) has called me leaving me a voice message that I owe money to the IRS and to call them back. When I did return their call, I can hear many foreigners in the background and they didn't know my name or could give me any information. I later called back and heard a quick recording (did not address themselves as the IRS) to leave a message.

I know this is a scam and two days later, I called the phone number again. I got someone speaking with a foreign accident and again not addressing themselves as the IRS.

Can look into this serious matter. These scams can destroy someone's life.

I received an automatic message stating that I was being sued by the IRS and to call 240-204-9491 immediately. I returned call and someone with a heavy foreign accent answered saying, IRS, this is Daniel. I asked if he was affiliated with the Internal Revenue Services and he said yes! I told him that he was not IRS and the call was a scam. He hung up!

The Irs has begun a lawsuit against you. Call this number for more details. I called the number and a guy with a heavy Indian accent answered at a noisy call center. He answered "internal Revenue Service" . I asked "Of what country?" Then he pretended to not hear me. He continue this until he hung up.

I received a call from this number, I did not take the call and they left a voicemail. I called the number back and a lady picked up and said that her name was Officer Breanne (badge#12196) and stated that I owed the IRS money as they did an audit on my 2012 & 2013 taxes. She stated that I was sent a letter in the mail on April 22, 2016 regarding this and because I didn't respond to the letter, there was a warrant being placed for my arrest. I asked when this all took place and she said that the minute I hung up, the warrant would be placed. She also stated that the IRS was no longer handling my case as it was turned over to US Treasury Department. After she stated this, I started asking more questions and asked who to call to resolve. She transferred my call to another "Officer" who just repeated what she said. While on the phone with him, I looked up the phone number on white pages and it was reported as a scam/fraud. Once I told the guy I looked it up and was shown as scam/fraud he hung up.

Just received a call from 509-233-4140 telling me the IRS is suing me. I called the number back and a foreign sounding woman said she was an IRS officer.

They said they were the IRS and I had 4 years of under filing taxes. 3 of which I had an accountant for. They said they were going to make sure I was arrested that day if I did not get the money to them within an hour. They said if I was not able to pay by credit card then I would need to meet them at a location that they would give me to give them the money. They would not tell me where the location was until I confirmed that I had the money. They also told me that I was not to speak of this to anyone and that they would be watching my phone. Just one fishy thing after the other. They gave me a case number DC1927. The first man I talked to, his name was Jordan Belford, phone number 917-376-2468 ext 1075, badge IRM70147 (which is all probably fake). 917-376-2468 is the number they called from and it showed New York. The second person I talked to said his name was Daniel Reed, phone number 202-239-8820.

Computerized voice message identifying the caller being from the IRS- Internal Revenue Services. Message said the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me because I owe taxes. Said to call back to get more information about this case file at 509-233-4154. I did NOT call back. We received two calls on 5-10. I have the message recorded on my voicemail.

I know you probably have a lot of info on this, but I got a call today from a recording that said it was the IRS and they were going to sue me.. I just hung up and got the phone number off my caller ID.. I did not listen to the whole recording.. just hung up..

The man said his name was Steve Martin. Clearly not a real name. Said that they were coming after me for tax evasion. When I asked for more information he hung up on me. Then I called back and asked for him and "he" said that Steve Martin wasn't available. It was definitely the same voice. I told him I was going to report him and he said go ahead.
