A recorded voice from this phone number called & left a message saying that this was our final warning, to call them back before the IRS issues a lawsuit. Pretty sure it's a scam, since we've never received an initial notice from the IRS. Besides, the IRS doesn't call, they send letters through the mail.

I received two different phone calls today from people pretending to be the IRS. Both said that they were going to be sending the Sheriff after me if I didn't contact them back to take care of the dispute.

I recd a call this morning at 10:30 AM and a recording stated this was the IRS. They were suing me for $4700 for back taxes 2009 - 2014. He also said if I did not send a payment I would be arrested and my driver's license would be taken away. I assumed it was scam.

The person left a message stating that this was the third call, they have been trying to reach me to tell me the IRS is taking action against me and has filed a lawsuit.

Received a call and didn't answer my phone because I didn't recognize the number, I figure if it's important they will leave a message. Well I had a message, so I called back to find out that I was being sued by the IRS for intentionally filing less taxes than reported from 2008-2013 and that I owed $2,400. Well first of all, I know that the IRS doesn't make phone calls and they notify you by mail. He insisted that I had been contacted previously and notices left on my door. They are really aggressive and try to convince you that they are real. He gave me a name Robert Jackson, a badge #IRM-12581 and a phone number (347) 584-8854. Eventually he hung up the phone once I started asking questions about who I needed to contact at the IRS. Please be aware, these people are scary and intimidating, but don't let them get to you. The initial call I received was from (213) 141-5163.

I received two calls today claiming to be from the IRS and that they were suing me. I hung up both times without saying anything other than hello. On my caller ID it said the call came from Charlotte, NC.

I recd a ph call this afternoon at 1:40 PM - it was a recording. The recording stated they were suing us for back taxes. I called the 702 number and spoke with a man who had an accent. When the man answered the phone he said it was the IRS and asked for my name. I did not give him my name and he hung up.

A man with a heavy Nigerian accent called on 5/13 at 11:34am, 1:23p, 2:29pm and 8:38pm. Called back again the next morning 5/14 at 7:48am. Every time he called he advised that he was from the IRS and due to taxes not being paid warrants had been issued for our arrest unless we paid in full to the tune of 11,898. I laughed and hung up each and every time.

Automated call claiming to be a final notice telling me the irs was going to sue me and to call back the number and talk to them right away. I called back and a woman answered saying "internal revenu services" knowing it was a scam i played along and asked about the call. She proceeded to ask for my social security number and upon refusal to give it to her she claimed that i needed to send 9,000 within 24 hours or they would begin the process of sueing me. I told her i knew it was a scam and she hung up on me.
