I recd a call a couple of days ago (twice) & it was a recording. A man stated they were w/the IRS and they had a lawsuit against me and that I owed back taxes. I tried to call back but just got some static. I knew it was a scam.

I have not given them any information. I returned the phone call from the school phone. He asked which phone number I was receiving calls to, and then asked me to confirm my name and mailing address.

The call is orginating from Islip, NY.

I recd a ph call at 1:27 PM this afternoon and it was a recording. A woman stated this was the IRS and was getting ready to file a lawsuit on me. I just hung up -- I knew it was scam. I've been listening to Andy Wise on CH 5.

My 83 yr old sister (lives in Memphis) also recd a call on May 11th from the IRS. The ph no. was 970-209-9015 (Ft Collins, CO 80521).

I received a voicemail from 561-346-1152 stating that I owed money to the IRS. The voicemail did not specify the amount, just that I needed to contact them immediately to avoid any further penalties.

I recd 2 calls (347-584-8649 & 661-246-2051)l this morning and it was a recording. A man, w/an accent, said he was Dan Lou and was from the IRS. He stated he had an arrest warrant for me -- did not specify. I ignored the call. I have been advised this was a scam.

3 months ago I received a voice message from someone from the IRS saying that if I didn't pay them, I would have a lawsuit against me. I contacted my local police department and they said this was a scam. I just received another voicemail from the IRS saying that I owed money to them and that I have a lawsuit against me unless I return the call to this "government" number, 646-558-6543. This time I knew it was a scam right away and wanted to report it to BBB.
