Received phone call saying they were IRS and I am being audited for the years 2008 thru 2013. IRS will be filing a lawsuit against me and requested my birthday. I told them no and they then asked for my ssn#. I then heard mumbling that made no sense and he hung up.

I received a phone call from a person by the name of Danny Archer at 201-830-1663 advising that i owed the IRS and if i do not pay the amount requested I would have to go in front of the local Magistrate for possible charges. the caller did not address me by name at all, and even left a voice mail indicating this was the IRS and the message is intended for "you"

Caller left message on answering machine that the IRS had a lawsuit against us.

There were 2 calls with the same number from "Washington, DC."

The number was 202-864-1234. It was a woman's voice. We did not call back.

Very suspect message left on home phone suggesting that we need to call back immediately (which we will NOT do), and then message wishes us 'good luck' if we don't return the call. How bogus!! Our IRS would NEVER wish us 'good luck' if we didn't respond to their call!

Consumer reported that she received a robo-call from the IRS with instructions to call 509-588-7406 about pending legal action against her. She called the number and a man with a thick foreign accent answered. Consumer said she hung up because she suspected it was a scam call.

Recording on consumer's answering machine said that they were from the IRS and that the consumer owed money and needed to call them back. They called a few times, leaving a different number each time: 360-474-4687 and 936-585-5003. Consumer called them back one time and the man had a very heavy foreign accent. The caller said his name was Lance Green. Consumer knows it is a scam and IRS would never call by phone.

I received a message on home answering machine on November 2, 2015. The message left a telephone number and stated that were with the IRS and this was the last contact they would make before a lawsuit was filed. The telephone number for the return call was 517-303-9649. I called that number this morning, 11/3/15 and it sounded like a "call center." I stated that I had received a message and was returning the call. I asked for the person's name and he stated "Agent Stephen Smith.' I asked, "who are you with?" He stated "the IRS." I asked "what does IRS stand for?" he responded with "F--K You !" and hanging up the phone. I did do a reverse look up of this phone number and my search indicated it was a landline in Clackamas, Oregon.

Received two automated phone messages today from an agency claiming to be the Tax Audit Department of the Internal Revenue Service. The automated message indicated that "they were calling because the IRS is filing a law suit against me. To know more kindly call back at number 206-855-6970, Thank you". The number that was provided for call back is the same as the number that shows up in my caller ID.

I assumed this is a scam, discussed and confirmed with my personal CPA/tax preparer, and did not call them back.

Consumer Received Call but no number showed upon caller ID. They stated that Consumer owed taxes and that they were going to be sued and legal action taken against them. Consumer stated I know that I have paid all the taxes

Two computer generated calls, both different telephone numbers, stating that IRS has filed a claim against me. 1-509-643-4318 from Sunnyside, WA and, unfortunately, I did not save the other number in my phone.

A woman named Lewis , phone#215 602 1073claimed a audit revealed I owed $ 5,279 if I didn't take care of it today a warrant for my arrest would be issued. I told her to do what she had to. The phone I.d. says it came from Phil., pa.
