I received the following email [email protected] with an option to click on an icon to get an antivirus downloaded. But before clicking on the antivirus icon, I did a search on the support email and I found information about a different organization with the same email documented so I think this is a scam or hoax. The following is the actual email I received:

Anese used to be a legit skincare product company, but apparently went under & crooks have taken over. I used to have a recurring subscription 3 years ago, but canceled to save money. My personal info & debit card were saved on their site. In September they resubscribed me & charged me 22.70 for the product I bought 3 years ago. I had to cancel my debit & get a new one. I filed a dispute and was denied by my bank because Anese told them it was a legitimate purchase. I reached out to Anese and I got no refund, no product, nothing. They are doing this to hundreds of others. They changed their website so accounts are no longer accessible, no ways to contact the company, no address, they only allow you to purchase products so they can get your card info. They are literally taking people's money. Please help stop this.

On 10/29/24 I initially sent $44.75 through Afterpay for a $179 leather jacket (Angel Jackets). It wasn't until I did not receive my product that I began to contact Afterpay. Afterpay automatic agent stated that I must contact the Merchant, MDP Limited (listed on Afterpay app). I have tried to contact MDP Limited support but was unsuccessful then again, tried to resolve this issue through Afterpay. Still no success. I have requested Afterpay to cancel the order but Afterpay will not until the order is returned, which I have not received, or the balance is paid in full. I WILL NOT pay money to a company that does not exist. My only other recourse is the cancel my credit card. Please HELP!

I made a purchase from an ad on Facebook from a store called Schimig. Schimig immediately withdrew my funds then emailed me a sketchy statement which did not include my item just an account number. There was no tracking information or delivery date. I sent numerous emails and called multiple times to no avail. I them Goggled Schimig reviews only to learn that they were fraudulent.

I purchased a Christmas tree from an online site Snoopmart for $39.99 and my bank declined the purchase. I accepted the charge and days later there was a charge on my account for $379 from a Play Pulse Fit in California. I live in Georgia. When I called my bank they told me there was another charge they declined for a Handyman for $87. I had to report a fraud claim. After doing further research, there have been the same occurrences with other people after purchasing from this online site. I even read someone had several charges after purchasing the same Christmas tree.

I came across an ad on TikTok for hey dudes that were for 8.00. So I had purchased the shoes back in August of 2024. I was tracking package and had emailed the "company" numerous times about my package. The info they sent me said my package was delivered which it never was so again I emailed letting "them" know this. They sent another package and offered a discount so of course I said ok and began the waiting process all over again. It was over a month and haven't heard anything so I messaged them and they sent the tracking information again through a different "carrier" for weeks it said the tracking didn't exist. Then eventually it loaded and as of today 10/31/2024 it says it was delivered but yet again nothing was in fact delivered. They offered me another discount and every time I agreed to a discount I never seen any money put back into my bank account. I emailed them asking for a full refund but no response.

I also have every single email from them to me about what I have explained above.

I entered into a contract with Premium Quality Golf Carts, Inc.. Upon me sending $210.00 for shipping and $145.00 as a !0% down payment, for a total of $355.00, they would deliver the cart we had selected to our house. The next day I got an email from the so called shipping company for insurance in the amount of an additional $500.00 dollars with the promise of a 50% "refund" upon delivery. I refused, stating I had already paid for the shipping. I paid the $355.00 via Zelle to a person they called their "cashier". Name was Jesse Amaro and phone # 432-935-7762. I got nervous and decided to cancel the whole order. did so on 10/27/2024. I was told to either pay additional fees or loose my money.

My husband was looking for a lawyer to see if he had a case regarding having to pay back money to a firm that he felt he did not have to pay back. He went on a website askalawyer.com and engaged in a conversation with a chatbot. He was told He had to pay $5 to have a lawyer contact him. My husband gave his debit card information to pay the $5. A short time later a "lawyer" called him, so he told him his issue and asked if he needed legal representation and was told to submit an appeal to this company. That was the end of the conversation. The next day I noticed a charge of $60 + $5 from askalawyer.com on my bank statement. My husband was never informed he had to pay $60 to speak to someone otherwise he would never have agreed to it. I have found similar complaints online with people having the same experience of being charged $5 then finding a charge of $60 that they did not agree to. My husband called the bank immediately and had the card canceled.

I "purchased" items through a facebook ad. The package was to be delivered to my office which requires any non-employee to ring the doorbell to be left in by security then they have to sign in at security. Nothing can be delivered without going through security. The package never arrived and after some research, i found that the tracking company they were using to track the delivery was a scammer company that creates false shipping numbers to create a fake tracking. I contacted the company & requested a refund. They offered 50% refund which I stated was not acceptable. They offered 75% refund which i advised was unacceptable and only 100% refund was acceptable. I was advised i would receive a full refund, but they have not provided a full refund yet. They gave me the 50%, then another 25%, but have still retained the remaining 25%.
